I used to have very nice full eyebrows, however during my time serving in the US Army, wearing an ACH (advanced combat helmet) took its toll from scraping on them and eventually ended up permanently thinning them. Thanks to Rachelle I actually look like myself again and have my confidence back. She did a great service for a disabled veteran! I have read some of the negative reviews some claim these are permanent, and I sure as hell hope they are because I love them. Up close it actually looks like actual hair, she actually puts thought into placement making the ink flow with the natural growth of your eyebrows. Let me start off by saying that I absolutely love Rachelle Monzon!!! She is an amazing artist. I got my brows down by her in December of 2020. It is now 2024 and my brows are still poppin'. Yes, I did make and go to every follow up appointment (you have to schedule them yourself). Here is what the follow up looks like ... after 2 weeks to 30 days you come in for the free touch up, IF you need it. I came in irregardless. Although I did want them darker. Then I scheduled the next appointments in between the times listed. I tried to hold it out to the farthest month. 2-6 months $100 ($25.00 non-refundable deposit is required to book an appointment) 6-12 months $150 ($25.00 non-refundable deposit is required to book an appointment) 12-18 months $225 ($50.00 non-refundable deposit is required to book an appointment) After 18 months: initial fee procedure all over again. I initially went to Rochelle in 2017 for microblading and had a great experience with her. I actually did not return for a touch up after the recommended 18-24 months as my brows were in pretty good shape. Yes I did get the blurred lines that some have complained about but my brows were faded that no one could tell. I decided to go back a couple of weeks ago as my brows are completely faded and my bald spots are now visible. Rachelle was very responsive when I asked if she can redo them after 7 years. She was so sweet and accommodating. The second time around I immediately noticed improvements on the microblading process and in Rochelle's skills. The numbing cream worked so well that I had to ask if she had already started lol. She is very engaging during the whole appointment and time flew by. When it was all said and done, I was left with a set of fresh brows. I'm currently on around day 10 of the healing process and I'm already getting compliments on the brows. Let's start off by saying I had my thoughts on should I get them done for 4 years. I searched and searched & looked at pictures of different peoples work and Social Media. After so much research I can across Rachelle and I did my homework and I reached out to her. I had so many questions and doubts on what I didn't want and the whole thing. When I went in and had decided on what we were going to do I was for sure nervous but she reassured me we were going to do something natural and soft strokes so it looks natural. The process was pretty fast but very detailed & she does numb you so that way it's no pain whatsoever. I can tolerate pain but this was basically a 0/10 you can hear the little scrape noise but doesn't hurt. I don't wear make up on a daily basis so just having the brows done was a big game changer. It changed my look so much and I loved it because my brows were very thin and didn't have many and had no shape whatsoever. I've been getting my eyebrows microbladed for many years at a very pricey salon and was due for a touch up. I wanted to give my experience of Rachell's work I had in 2020-2021 because I'm in the process of saline removal that is costing me so much money, I find myself feeling extremely disappointed. My first session with Rachell in 2020 was really great and I was very happy. They faded about a year and 3 months later so I made a touch up appointment. All went well, but I did notice they were a little bit darker than the first time. After they healed, they were much darker but they didn't look bad. I just remember telling myself that I would let them fade as much as possible before getting another touch up. That was in 2021. 3 years later, instead of a gradual overall fade, the tails of my eyebrows became spotty and uneven and they also turned into an ash grey color (my natural hair color is dark brown). I finally found another brow artist and during my consult, she told me that they were in fact microbladed too deep. Basically, Rachell tattooed my eyebrows and this was as faded as it was going to get. I'm sure at the time, Rachell was doing what she thought was best, but unfortunately for me, it was not her best work and I was ultimately left with really un-natural looking eyebrows that were never going to fade. I wouldn't be able to fix them without removing or lightening them first and now it's costing me $200 per session (5 sessions needed - 2 sessions in) for saline removal and it's actually more painful and the healing process take two weeks with scabbing each time. If you're considering getting your brows done with Rachell or any artist, I suggest looking at healed and post touch up photos before making your decision. Photos of microbladed brows immediately after the session always look so amazing and perfect but I think that can be deceiving. read more

I first had my brows done somewhere else but didn't have a touch up appointment. I went to see Rachelle about a year after. At first, my experience was great. She looked at my photos and stated my brows retained its shape, therefore was willing to do just a touch up. My touch up was good but missed a few spots. I notified her. She brought me in for a touch up from her work to fill in the spots. As you can see from the 3rd photo, the touch up didn't work. I texted Rachelle about 3 weeks after my 2nd appointment with her and expressed my concerns kindy. Unfortunately, she just flat out ghosted me. I reached out to her 5 days ago and radio silence...I am so disappointed! I am in the service industry myself and would never just ghost a client like this. At the very least, she could've responded to me and tell me she either didn't want to do another touch up or she was going to charge me. I have to say I am floored! My brows are very uneven (one is lower than the other) one is thinner than the other. I've had my brows micro-bladed before and it was a joke. Waited 2 years for it to fade and found Rachelle! Rachelle was so much fun to chat with. She educated me on the techniques, what she envisioned for my brows, and listened to my concerns about my brows. (I want the crown of the brows to be symmetrical). She was able to give me hope but be realistic about my expectations. But SHE DELIVERED! It was better than I thought it would be. She was honest, due to my oily skin there is a risk it may not stick, or I will need to come for more touch ups than a person with regular skin. I got microblading done in 2018 at South Bay Brows. I loved them at first. She told me my brows would completely fade after two years, which did not happen at all. Please beware this is a PERMANENT TATTOO and WILL NOT COMPLETELY FADE... EVER. Overtime, the tattoo turned grey and the lines blurred into each other making it look solid. You MUST think of this as a permanent tattoo on your face. Starting this year, 2021, I've undergone 4 treatments of saline microblading tattoo removal ($900 spent so far) to get rid of my brows and they have hardly faded. Great communication with desired look, and actually suggested something a little different to what I usually do (what she believed would look better) and she nailed it. So, this review is well past due. I saw Rachelle about 6 months ago and I can't believe I waited this long to get this done. My barely there brows compared to how they look now is truly astonishing. Now that I'm use to the shape and color, I'm thinking of going slightly larger in shape, which is exactly what Rachelle said would happen.
