I am posting this review specially for the top makeup artist Jina!! I can't even think of any words to describe what a special service Jina offered us! We went to her to get my wife's eyebrows done. She was fully ready on our appt. time. She wanted to be sure she drew it in perfectly to match my style. She also made her recommendations but listened to exactly what I wanted and the job was done flawlessly. She recommended a touch up within 3 months. Its been 2 months already but it still looks great without a touch up yet, but she still wants to check it for touch-up recommendations!! Hopefully they will grow and more of her shops could become available around me but it is always worth a time to drive 45 minutes to see my wife's happy smile! Thanks! read more

I LOVE this place! Both hair treatment and the facial services are just excellent! Gena is the makeup artist who also does hair treatment and nail art, Young does a wide range of facial services including my favorite oxygen peel and 24 karat gold treatment. Let me start with facial - I have been getting facials regularly since college and I must say, Korean facial is more superior than the Chinese facials I've gotten in the past! Young has great technique and her salon products are mild to the skin so will not cause any breakouts. There are a variety of equipments that she use to aid the facial massage and I can't say enough about how comfortable and relaxing the 2 hours can be! Thumbs up to the facial and I have been recommending to my friends, even my husband is a loyal fan now and come with me regularly to get facials! Gena offers the unique Korean scalp detox that blew my mind away at first! The treatment is based on the ancient chinese/Korean herbal medicine belief and use of key acupressure point of the top of the cranio to release negative energy from within the body. Gena applies the treatment to the scalp that exfoliates the dead skin first, and she wraps layers of damp towels on the head while adding a special solution to the top and light it on fires!!!!! Absolutely amazing! Towel does not burn and she can tell by the height of the flame if my physical condition is good or needs some work. By the liquid dripping down during the burning process, she tells me where I have issues- intestine primarily! Absolutely amazing! Scalp feels so clean and refreshed after! I am wring a review regarding my eyebrow experience. Jina did a fabulous job on my friend's eyebrow so I took my sister with me to get ours done too. Overall, both of my sister's and mine came out great, everybody is complementing on my eyebrows... well, they don't even notice that I've done eyebrow job hahaha It just looks so natural with or without make ups on. Jina is a great makeup and hair artist! She helped me do the traditional Korean makeup for my engagement photoshoot session. It was really cute! The makeup was able to enhance the outline/characters of my face instead of just putting heavy makeup and completely changing my face to another person. I really didn't wanted to write a negative post because Jina who did not makeup was so sweet and nice and did a fantastic job on my makeup for my wedding day. However, the different hair stylist gave me worst hair style I could think of for my wedding day. I gave a specific photo of the hair style that I wanted a week ahead but it seemed the stylist did not look at the photo because she was doing something completely different to my hair. She was doing a braid which looked like it was done by a elementary kid. Thank God, Jina told her to fix it because she seemed to know what I wanted. (But it was hard to fix because the hair spray was already all over my head..) We did not have time (sorry for my tardiness to the appointment) to fix the nightmare the stylist did to my hair. I even brought 10 strands of clip-on hair extensions because I wanted to give my hair volume and make it look full, which I specifically mentioned earlier too. However, when we were almost to a finish, I asked the stylist where the extensions were and she showed me "here" and pointed out two clips that were attached to my back head! Is this a joke? Why would I spend $200 on this luxury hair extensions when I'm only going to put two clips on to my head? Does she see how flat my hair looks in the mirror? Where is the volume and fullness? Instead of asking the stylist, I asked Jina to put ALL of them on to my head and at least curl them for me now that I don't even have time to do braids. I was so happy when I got my make up but got so upset when the hair was done because there was nothing I can do to fix it because I only had an hour left til my wedding!!!!!! Like I said I didn't wanted to write a negative post to a shop that is just starting to grow their business, but after looking at my wedding photos I became very upset with this disastrous hair. Worst of all, even my husband's hair did not look like the hair that I suggested with a photo which also was provided a week ahead (and we went to a different hair stylist a week before to get a hair cut and when she was done, the style was perfect so there is no excuse except the fact that La Verite's hair stylist is inexperienced.) Oh, how surprised I was when I saw his hair for the first time during the First Look photoshoot. AND that is not all, my mother-in-law was upset about her hair too that she actually whet home and fixed it herself, which she confessed to me days after the wedding. The stylist should do some study on current hair trends. Before Jina was kind enough to fix mine, I looked like mid thirties or forties with the hair that the stylist gave me (I am in late twenties.) She made me look so old! Seriously, I had the worst hair style of my life and that was unfortunately the day I was suppose to look most beautiful, my wedding day! I will recommend Jina to anyone for makeup styling because she is fantastic and knows your needs and wants (Thank you so much) but if you are going for hair styling make sure you watch what the other stylist is doing and tell her if something is going off at that exact moment, which I regret not saying anything when I saw her doing weird thick braids. I really wanted to say my money was well spent but I can't. I should have just curled my hair at home and it would have looked way better than this. Just for this sore reason I really want to go back time and do my wedding again. read more

In my opinion, permanent makeup can be one of factor to make someone attractive . My eyebrow looks less hair with no shape. I asked to make me younger than now. (I am male of 60's) she listened my concerns seriously and explained to me what she was going to do. Jina was so confident and professional. She took the time to measure and even out my brows.
