My hair was in desperate need of a cut and color. It was long, drier than the Sahara, three different types of brown and overall a hot mess. I was desperate for someone, anyone, to save me from the nightmare that my hair had become. My prayers were answered from the hair gods in the form of the lovely and talented Michelle. She is absolutely PHENOMENAL! Her passion for hair shows in the quality of her work. Not only is she sweet and friendly but professional with outstanding attention to detail. She takes the time to listen to your hair dreams and makes them as much of a reality as possible. She's brutally honest, so if your hair isn't capable of achieving a certain color she is quick to tell you, and even quicker to offer beautiful suggestions that will NOT DISAPPOINT. She even pointed out a bald spot near my ear that I did not even know existed and advised me to look out for it in case it needed medical attention. How many other stylists have seen my hair over the years and have failed to mention that to me?! That alone shows that she truly cares for each customer and their happiness. I came to her with the dream of having a lovely blonde balayage and left with exactly that. She even hooked me up with a free hair cut and deep conditioning treatment that left my hair as soft as a fluffy cloud. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. I texted the number provided and was greeted by the very kind owner who immediately set me up with Jennie for a haircut! It was my first time here and the studio is very clean and chic. Everyone was really nice here! Jennie did a great job with my hair! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she delivered amazingly! Last time I had baby lights was almost a year ago so I did have quite a lot of harsh regrowth she had to lighten and blend in. This was my first time at this salon, I read the Yelp reviews and decided to give it a shot...I saw Michelle (she's AMAZING!!!!!!). From the moment I walked in, I was greeted, everything was super clean, organized, and everyone was super friendly, I immediately felt comfortable. I had previously visited another hair salon and paid over $200 on a shitty job. My hair couldn't get any worse... Michelle came to the rescue. She gave me a deep conditioning, cut, dye and blow. LOCATION: It is located in a plaza with a bunch of warehouse industrial style businesses. It is conveniently located by a freeway exit, so it's easy to get to. There is plenty of parking, so that's a plus. FACILITY: The shop is super cute. It's not too big, so it feels more intimate. When you go there, they always offer you something to drink, whether it's coffee or water. Ali's assistant, Jaimie is a sweetheart! COST: Face it and be realistic, great hair cost money. I will gladly give my money for great hair. Lol. SERVICE: I am so happy that my best friend told me about this place. She lives fairly close to this salon and fortunately they had an Instagram that we were able to see the amazing work that Ali has done. That alone gave me the confidence to change stylist. Before making an appointment, I was able to contact Ali through IG and talk about what I wanted done. I had just gone through a break up and one day decided to give myself a makeover and decided to go box blonde by using the Féria bleach. Well, to the common eye, when it was straightened, didn't look so terrible, but after seeing the before and after pics, it makes me wonder, "was everyone blind or just being nice to me"? Lolz I set up an appointment with Ali, but after seeing pics of my hair, she didn't think it would be realistic to get something done at out first appointment. She wanted to see my hair in person so we used the first appointment to consult me. When we first met, she was the sweetest! She asked me what happened, what my ultimate goal was and gave me her rate and asked how comfortable I was with it. It was a great consult. When I came in for 2nd and real hair appointment, she gave me the news that maybe we shouldn't go blonder because if we did, we'd have to probably chop off a lot of hair because it was so over processed. Not going to lie, it was a little disappointing, but I have family that are hair stylist, so I kind of already knew. And my old stylist did warn me that might happen. (Btw, I have curly ass hair, which I straighten 85% of the time, so some pre-damage factors in there about my hair). She asked me if I would be okay going a little more brown, and I just said yes, do your magic. I honestly just wanted what was best for my hair. Ali cut my hair, did her magic and I even got some conditioning treatment. (BTW- Can I just mention that the conditioning treatment and head massage by Jamie was amazing?) Now, as this process was happening, I wasn't really sure how it would all turn out. Would I be happy not going blonde? When it was all said and done, I was pretty shocked that I went back to dark. Lol. But after she blew it out and styled it, I was so amazed to see the results. My hair looks beautiful, feels healthier and has more of a dimensional brown color, not a flat black. And I absolutely love the length and cut I have. My head feels 100% lighter and softer. Ali knows what she is doing. My goal to be blonde is not unrealistic, but will definitely take time to get there. I'm happy that Ali is honest and wants to take care of my needs without damaging my hair in the process. So we finally found a salon/stylist we like in the area. Took a bit of trial and error but now we've found Marya! She did my hair (I have short hair, a little longer than pixie length), as well as my husband's. We were very happy with our cuts and will be back!
