I've driven past Conroy's very often and yesterday, I finally went in. I needed a bouquet for a friend. I looked at the bunches that were already premade, but none really caught my eye except a dozen roses with baby's breath that I liked best, but I wanted more floral variety. I asked the person at the front if she can create a bouquet for me and I told her my budget. She put together 6 roses and two stems of lilies. I had placed an order online for a boutonniere for my daughter's boyfriend for Homecoming. There wasn't a huge selection online, but what I saw as available was going to work perfectly, so I went with it. The process was easy in placing the order, paying online and selecting the date/time for pickup. I had also told her boyfriend's dad about Conroy's so he could order my daughter's corsage for the dance. Unfortunately, due to awful circumstances beyond anyone's control, her school's homecoming got delayed twice. In both instances, I called the shop directly and told them about the delay and the rescheduled date and they were more than happy to accommodate and were very understanding. I'm can't write this review fast enough. Darla went above and beyond to help me, another parent panicking last minute before a big prom event. It's not at all anyone's problem but mine and she just did all she could to help. I wanted the trendy prom bouquet for my son's date, and the prom is less than a day away so I was prepared to attempt wrapping myself. Darla suggested a combination of flowers, wrapped them and matched the ribbons to the dress color. She even thanked me for waiting. I wish I was able to give them zero stars. I do not live local and ordered an arrangement for a friend who lost her son. I selected the large arrangement and was shocked when I received the delivery confirmation with a picture of an arrangement 1/3 the size of what I ordered. I called immediately thinking there must have been a mistake and was told that the website picture is showing what it would look like if the flowers were all on one side which is still not accurate. There certainly aren't enough flowers in this to make it look like the picture. The arrangement that was delivered is nowhere near a $100 flower arrangement. It looks like something I would get at a grocery store, not a reputable florist. I trusted Conroys with a very important arrangement and am absolutely embarrassed at what what was delivered. On top of that, they told me all they could do was go pick the arrangement up and redo it. Are you serious? Who would have them go pick the arrangement up from someone who just lost her son? My husband and I have been celebrating our wedding anniversary for about 2 weeks now and so when it was the actual day of our 2 year wedding anniversary, i wasn't expecting anything. My husband has ordered from 1800flowers for many years and this order was such a horrible experience. Every time he sends me flowers I always send him a photo and say thank you but this time around he was disappointed. They were nothing like in the photo. He called 1800flowers initially the agent on the phone said they would send a replacement given the volume of previous purchases. Hubby hung up satisfied. Apparently, it didn't sit well with the actual florist because 1800flowers called my husband several times asking him if we could return and drop off the old flowers, he said no he was working they called him again asking to have them replaced same day but I wasn't in my office, they kept calling him pressuring him to come pick up the new flowers. They called again requesting for the florist to pick the old flower arrangements as well. No problem. They must have called him 6 times on a Friday. He was so frustrated. It was a simple fix just please redeliver the new flowers on Monday and pick the old one as you requested. Monday morning they walked in with a replacement that looked worse then the original one. the woman that delivered them had such a poor attitude. No apologies nothing for the experience. she took the old arrangement and left the new ones. I was happy just to get flowers but my husband was extremely disappointed it wasn't what he saw online and the fact that they charge more for the larger arrangements and looked like it was just thrown in a vase. The overall experience with customer service was extremely poor. He said it didn't seem like they cared at all. All I'm saying is check on your flowers after they've been delivered and ensure it's what you paid for. 1800flowers was gracious enough to send another arrangement from another florist. I bought my wife flowers for Mother's Day from here. $95 dollars for a bouquet that was DEAD the next day. They were purchased and immediately put in a vase along with the powder they give you. I called to complain, obviously, and was told they do not warranty their flowers unless you buy them in a vase from them. However, they said they would do me a favor and give me a cheap $30 bouquet as a replacement. The majority of which ALSO DIED THE NEXT DAY. I wish I had never gone there and absolutely never will again. The kids were also disappointed because they had put their own money in on it. Just go to the supermarket for your flowers. I don't even know where to start. If i could give 0 stars to this florist I would. A few days ago my husband ordered a bouquet through 1-800-flowers. He knew i liked the arrangement and the rustic farmhouse cube it came with. On our anniversary the flowers arrived, but not what we ordered. It looked like something completely different with more green bush than flowers. Definitely not as pictured. To add to this, it did not come with the rustic cube box, but a totally different very ugly box that looked like it came from an old backyard shed. The flowers were already looking wilted. We called 1800 flowers and they replaced them the following day. But guess what? I was sent the same flowers in the same ugly box. Correct me if i'm wrong, but when flowers are ordered, the vase is such an important piece to the floral arrangement. Again, more green than anything else. Not what i wanted or not what my husband paid for. So today, another arrangement arrived and guess what? A totally different arrangement that was ordered in the past! Not only an old arrangement previously ordered, but with flowers that will last maybe 1 more day! Is this how business is ran at Conroys? I called and asked if I could get a delivery within the next 4 hours to a location less than a mile from them. I was told yes so I ordered a basket with plants and added flowers. Two hours later they called and said the driver could not find the business, the building was empty. The delivery person did not look around as the building is not empty. The business had just moved in and is located next to the main entry. When Conroy's called me they said the delivery person had gone home, I asked why they hadn't called the business or me when they couldn't find the business. They had no answer. Then, after putting me on hold after I asked those questions, I was told for an additional $10 they could deliver today. I refused and asked to speak to the mgr. I was told she went home also. I asked who made the decision to charge extra and was told the Mgr did. I canceled the order. It was now 2 hours before the party and I called another florist who said they could deliver within the next 1.5 hours. I will not do business with Conroy's and would not recommend them. This was for a business that was having a big party to celebrate their new location and their 25 years in business. I was assured they could deliver that day. I just placed an online order for over $150 for a family member who is in the hospital. A few minutes ago, I get a call from one of the staff members telling me they aren't delivering to hospitals due to Covid. I requested a full refund and let them know that they didn't have anything on their website to stop me from ordering and they had no messages on the website that let you know that they aren't delivering to hospitals during Covid. (I understand if they can't but at least let the customer know before checking out). He then put me on hold for about 10 minutes. When he got back on the phone he told me he could only refund 50% of the order. I told him that was unacceptable and that I needed a full refund. He then puts me back on hold for another 15 minutes and comes back to the call and tells me that the full refund is only $50. I tell him that the order is over $150. This man had me on hold while he was refunding the wrong order for someone else. He finally gave me the full refund after being on the phone for over 30 minutes. He then offered to call the recipient of the order to apologize... ummm how about apologize to me for wasting my time, not my family member who is already sick in the hospital and definitely doesn't want to hear from you. Safe to say I won't be using this company ever again. Also, I ended up going to my local grocery store and got basically the same thing for $40 cheaper and drove an hour and a half and delivered it to the front desk of the hospital myself.
