Went here for lunch on Sunday. Food is always great here, today no different. However today we ordered several items including the .69 cent wings. I went with two friends. We had called ahead for 8pm reservations. When we arrived on time for our reservations, we were told it would be at least another 15-20 minutes before we could be seated in a booth which we had reserved. We opted for a hi-top instead. Our server, who's name non of of actually heard, seemed nice. She took our drink orders promptly, but came back to the table five minutes later because she forgot what one drink was. After she brought them, we ordered an appetizer and dinner. My friend ordered grilled chicken with broccoli, and a baked potato. She stressed NO sour cream and extra butter. The waitress kept asking her if she wanted rice pilaf. My friend stated quite succinctly she wanted grilled chicken, broccoli and a baked potato, no sour cream and extra butter another 2 times. I place my order and then the third in our party did. The waitress read everything back to us. Our appetizer of buffalo chicken egg rolls came out. They were warm, not hot, and just ok. Our waitress, nor anyone else, ever came over or even by our table, so we couldn't ask for hot sauce for our barely buffalo, buffalo chicken wraps. Dinner came out right on time, after we finished the egg rolls. Our appetizer plates were not cleared off the table prior to dinner arriving and we had to ask for those plates to be remover (a table is only so big). Dinners...1 out of three were good. The haddock dinner was "perfect". The grilled chicken came out as chicken teriyaki with broccoli, a baked potato with sour cream and no butter. That was sent back. The turkey tip came out with congealed sauce on top, broccoli and crunchy, dried rice pilaf. After partaking of two bites of the turkey tips, and one bite of the rice (which was luke warm too) that was too sent back. The grilled chicken came back out prior to the food runner, who was politely asked for extra butter, brought it out. The turkey was redone and brought out. There was no rice pilaf on the plate. When asked, rice pilaf was brought out. The turkey was not dry this time, but the rice was still dry, crunchy and not hot. HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO GET SOME PROPERLY COOKED. NON-CRUNCHY, HOT RICE PILAF??? Not once were plates cleared without asking. Not once were we asked if we wanted more to drink. In fact, when asked for a beer, my friend had to ask twice for it. Not once did anyone stop by to see if things were ok. Our service was poor. Our food not right and not that wonderful. The people working there did not seem happy. It wasn't overly busy to have such a poor experience.To say the least, we won't recommend this Conrads location nor come back!!! We'll stick with Norwood! read more

I am usually very happy with my meal, in fact this is the go to restaurant for my sister and I. I am trying to eat gluten free and dairy free, so I ordered the Teriyaki Stir Fry with Chicken. I was very disappointed. The rice was undercooked, when I finally found it under all the sauce. It looked like a bowl of chicken Teriyaki stew rather than stir fry. It was very salty due to the large amount of sauce. There were also pieces of bow tie pasta mixed in,not a big deal for me because I don't have Celiac's but not cool, if you did. The waitress seemed genuinely interested when I voiced my opinion and concerns. But all and all not one of Conrad's greatest meals. read more

It's all about the steak tips. Seriously. The place is ok, but it's your basic sports bar style place with the expected menu offerings. But the steak tips. They're anything but expected. Flavorful, cooked perfectly, and served in a generous portion (I had enough to take home for lunch the following day). The problem with the tips being so amazing is that it makes the rest of the menu feel lacking in comparison. While nothing on the menu is bad, it's just they pale compared to the tips. This is definitely one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. It's a cozy atmosphere with plenty of tv's to watch pretty much any sporting event. The food is absoulsty amazing. If your craving steak tips, you need to plan a trip there. They by far have the best around. The staff is very attentive as well. The bartenders, Roxanne and Laura, went above and beyond to make sure my visit was exceptional. Also, the manager Nicole, would always come around to make sure everything was going smooth. In regards to the Walpole location and in particular the island-sitting area across from the bar. Hostess stand/ is not complying with state mandate regulations for safe distance while eating by letting people in and telling them that they can sit in that location if space is available. People came in and sat right next to us after we politely asked them not to, so we complained to the waitress and she told us to move to a high top that was empty. We did and a minute later we were asked to get up by someone from the hostess stand, I assume manager that someone else needed that table. After explaining why we left and that we sat there because our waitress told us to she was apologetic about the safe distance issue but did nothing about it. Offered another table but we would have to wait after we already ordered a drink. Where were we going to go.. waiting area holding a beer?? Have picture to prove violation but will not post online to maintain people's privacy. The issue here is not the bad customer service but the lack of respect and not following guide lines while placing people's health in jeopardy read more

I am all done with Conrad's. The food is great and Bob Conrad is s good man but his servers are going to put him out of business by constantly hustling for tips. It happens EVERY time I eat at Conrad's so I am positive that it is no accident. When the bill is $129 and I put two $100 bills on the table, the servers walk off with it and act surprised when I ask for change. Its hard to really rate this place, some aspects are AMAZING, while other aspects are just terrible. The prices are great, and totally appropriate (5 stars) The steak tips are BOMB (5stars) Everything else on the menus is really lackluster. I would only recommend going if you plan on ordering the steak tips. We have tried a couple different things and were disappointed in comparison to the tips. Location: 4 stars (right in the center of Walpole) Service: 0 stars. The service unfortunately is just terrible. We have now been 3 times, and it appears the service is getting worse. The last time we went, was a saturday night around 9:30 (which I understand is a very busy time). The hostess rolled her eyes as at us as we walked in and rudely asked "Do you want to sit in the bar or dining room" as she is saying this she doesn't look up from picking at her nails. We decide on the bar room and she walks off, and doesn't tell us to follow her or anything. We follow her anyway as she places 2 menus on a table and walks off- no "enjoy your meal" or "Your server will be right with you" just storms away. I understand the place has just newly opened, but there is no excuse for the host staff to be so rude. We went on to order a cup of clam chowder each, which seemingly took forever and they brought it out with our main course. So we had to pound the soup in order to still eat our dinner while it was hot. The waitstaff was equally inattentive as the host staff. It really is a shame that the service is so crumby because the place has an awesome atmosphere, and could be great for a cheap date, if we do go again, I think we will ask to sit at the bar, in hopes of a better experience. read more

While I generally enjoy visits to Conrads, today did not follow suit. What is happening to the service?!?!?! We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and requested a TV booth so we could watch football . . . we got sat at a booth with an inoperable TV while two other tables with TVs sat open. Our server came three times . . . to take our order . . . to deliver our food . . . and then drop off our bill . . . our drinks sat empty the whole time. Conrads is usually an upbeat, enjoyable time with great food and great service . . . if you are going to have one of the two, service is where it counts! I have enjoyed the Norwood Conrads for years and the Walpole Conrads is just as good. The portions are generous,prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. Conrad's is best known for it's steak tips and, they do not disappoint. Never overcooked and always tender. The Prime Rib special on the weekends are also a favorite. The seafood dishes are also delicious. I would recommend making reservations if you have a large group or need to dine at a certain time because it can be very busy. read more

HOLY SALT, BATMAN! I got some pasta dish with spinach and sausage and it had so much sodium i think I drank 4 glasses of water at the restaurant and a few more at home. Afraid I'd get water intoxification, i was so parched. My blood pressure is normally 108/68, yet after dining here you may need to be treated for hypertension. Get the french onion soup. Seriously, it's delicious. It comes with swiss and provolone but I am not a fan of provolone so I had them leave that off. Glad it said it on the menu, I would have hated getting soup with cheese I don't enjoy. They say they have "World Famous" steak tips, I think they mean they have steak tips. I don't find them to be "World Famous" they were ok - I probably would not go out of my way to get them again but I would try something else like the fish and chips. We had a very large party one Sunday afternoon and the place was quiet but the staff seemed slow at times but was able to deal with the large party. I did ask for a cup of tea that took maybe 30 minutes to show up and it was lukewarm and the restaurant was really cold. I also asked for A.1. for my steak tips and the waitress saw me eat some of the steak tips and then said "Oh I forgot your A.1.".... but by then I just wanted to pack up my lunch and take it home, which I did. The next day I had my leftovers and microwaving them for a few seconds did not really make them that appetizing but they tasted ok - the baked potato was good though. The prices seem like your average prices for the items on the menu and they have a lot of boozy cocktails if that is your thing. If the restaurant was a bit warmer (temp wise and maybe service wise, that would be another star). They desperately need to cut back on the salt and maybe add some pictures to the walls as it's pretty spartan inside. The bathrooms were clean so that is always nice. Of course, when in Walpole, I'd return as my sister and her family enjoy dining here. read more

We had our rehearsal dinner there on October 1st and Conrads was so accommodating to us. We actually asked to get there earlier and they had no problem with changing our time to accommodate us. This was my second time visiting this restaurant -The first time I came the food was very good but I have celiac disease and got very sick from it so I waited a couple months before I came back because I wanted to give them another try. Needless to I was not impressed the second time either the service was absolutely horrible since I have celiac disease I ordered from the gluten free menu, everything I ordered the waitress had no idea if I could eat it or if they had it. I asked three questions and she had to yell down the bar to the other bartender to ask. Then My boyfriend and I ordered salad and soup to start he got his whole meal with his soup and I never even received my salad. 30 minutes after they brought his food out I receive my pasta without even getting my salad then when we received the check they added two dollars on it for sauce that I ordered on my pasta (which made no sense) and took away one of my sides. Why would you up-charge when you take something away when it says you get it on the menu. Then at the end they even charged us for more wings then we received. The food is very good but the way the staff very disappointing. I brought all of my concerns to their attention and they could have cared less. Oh and they brought some other tables food over to us, until we told them that the food was not ours and then took it back 10 mins later. They had no idea what they were doing in there which is a shame because it is a good spot- but I can not say I will be back any time soon and I live 5 minuets away. read more

Went here with my mom yesterday (Sunday) afternoon. Really like Conrad's in Norwood. Have had nothing but good experiences there all around, even on a busy Saturday night. The Walpole Conrad's is a whole different story.... I ordered the shrimp scampi. Nothing special, but it was good. However, I was supposed to get a salad to start. I questioned the waitress about this when the entrees came out with no sign of a salad. Although she did bring one out soon after, it was too late in my opinion and I didn't want it at that point. My mom got a burger. It was dry - not good. We also had no silverware at the time our food came out and had to ask for that as well. Now. We got the bill, paid in cash, and needed change. Given her performance up to this point I shouldn't have been surprised that the waitress was unable to make change. She came back to the table with a hand full of cash, telling us how confused she was and didn't know how much change she was supposed to give us. Luckily my mom has spent years teaching kids and applied these skills to helping this 40 year old woman do simple math. It still took her a few times to understand and she kept trying to give us extra change. This went on for several minutes. It was entertaining, to the point my mom was in tears from laughing so hard at her, but I can't believe this woman was so incompetent and that this behavior is acceptable for an employee. Perhaps Conrad's should add an elementary math quiz to the application process. So from start to finish this was a disaster. Where was the manager during any of this? I don't know. Didn't see him/her once. Bottom line: I will still go to Conrad's - but only in Norwood. read more

I've only been to Conrad's for showers in the function room, which is very nice when dressed up by decorative accents. I would eat here sometime just to give the diner a chance, the food was ok for a function. Glad that there's a restroom in the actual room we were in, but a few of us had to make a trip to the restaurant side when it was in use a couple of times. The service seemed good, but one of my friends said she wouldn't have another sister's shower here in the future. The restaurant looks nice. Parking can be tricky if you're not familiar with the area...as you have to find the entrance off one of the main roads to the back lot. read more
