If you are looking for a venue to have a party of any kind, this is the place to go! I had my daughter's Sweet 16 here and everything was perfect and you can't beat the price of the buffet. Plenty of food. Brigid , the manager was more than accommodating, the staff was on their game, very pleasant and compliment to the chef because the food was off the hook!! The party room was just the way we wanted it to be set up and it looked great after we put our finishing touches on it. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant pub. We attended a party in the private party room. It was clean, nicely decorated, and the food was delicious. The staff was attentive and sincere. We ate Shephards Pie, penne pasta, seafood mix in a red sauce, and chicken francais. The red sauce was delicious - everything we tasted was delicious. Families are made to feel welcome. Great food, great atmosphere. I highly recommend the french onion soup here. My favorite thing about this place is the backyard area. It's nice nowadays to be able to go out with friends, grab a few brewskis and smoke a cigar while catching the evening's sports games. Good time can be had here every night of the week. Midville Dodgers went there for their baseball dinner. They set up a large area in the back for the 17 of us. We had a great time. I had the ribs. On the menu it says that they are the "best ribs in Queens" I have to say they are one of the best that I've had. I prefer a dry rub but these were not messy bc they practically fell off the bone. This is a great place for bar and comfort place. Been here 4 times to eat, 2 for brunch 2 for dinner and havent had a bad experience. For dinner the pot roast and stiffed shrimp were delicious, but the star of the show were the ribs. Omg the most tender fall of the bone perfectly seasoned ribs i ever tasted, served with fries and great cole slaw. Service is also good, very attentive and always making sure you have a drink which is very important!! For brunch last weekend went with mom dad and hubs, moms bacon cheeseburger cooked perfectly, mooing on the plate, hubs burger with canadian bacon and cheddar well done like he eats it, and my father had the ribs. I swear they get better every time. My eggs benedict were the only thing i wasnt crazy about, something about the hollandaise i wasnt crazy about, and the dish wasnt too hot just warm. But u get a free cocktail with brunch which is pretty awesome for such a moderately priced place. 4 entrees plus an extra 6 cocktails and a desert for $106. Cant be beat for the quality and portion you get. Oh and i had my bridal shower there in 2013 staff really is awesome!! Took great care of the guests. It's a really long wait here on a Friday night. Not really that busy, I've been in restaurants that are busier. Problem is that they seem to be understaffed. One waitress for the whole place. It seems like a normal Friday here. I brought my kids and we've been waiting almost an hour here for the entree. My son is starving to death. I've been here before and the food is decent, but I can tell you that the service is unacceptable, only because there's only one girl. Asked for a wine list and didn't get it until after like 15-20 minutes. THEN we were able to order our food. And the food takes forever. My son and I ordered a steak and a salad for my daughter. We got the appetizers and gobbled it up. But still sitting here after all this time waiting for our food. I don't care if this is the best food on earth. I still give one star because of the wait. BE AWARE .Its TRUE if you want to throw any party there it will not be like you discussed with a Brigitte the manager.We had a Wedding party for a 50 people,ordered buffet style with a extra charge for a fancy food.At begging not all guests had a own place on the tables,as they was coming manager start to setting up new tables to seat all guests!!! Guess they can't count up to 50 ? The Buffet was another surprise,we paid extra to get it unlimited for all for a 3hrs.came out after first fill was taken within first hour all buffet setup disappeared !!! When I asked manager she told me they have to clean it up to make a space for a DJ ???!!! Another surprise was when I told her after 4 hours everybody is hungry she told me I got it,and bring a medium plate of finger food for a each table adding another $400 to my final check !!! Connolly's Corner is the best. After a long day, it's the ultimate dining experience. Their bar area is the usual bar with all the noise and socializing. They have a yard for dining where the patrons are even louder. Their dining room, set apart from all the above, is the clincher. When I want to eat, I like to do it in peace. It's the quiet atmosphere that I so crave. And who could have known about how good the food at Connolly's was until you've tried it. The barbecued baby back ribs was a totally succulent feast. It's a little scary when the food is brought to you because the portion of the ribs with accompanying potato, home made cole slaw and breads could have fed an army. The Irish soda bread came right from the oven. I got half way through the meal and I felt like I feel after Thanksgiving dinner. I had no choice but to take the remainder home making another meal the next day. Barbara, the waitress in training, came along to keep an eye on my needs without being annoying as some waitresses are. She'll do well, and wouldn't it be nice if EVERY waitress were so attentive and pleasant. I will definitely dine at Connolly's again. read more

Great place to just hang out, especially on Sunday night's or any day of the week. On some Friday and Saturday's they have a dj that gets the bar packed. So if your looking to party hard.. those are your days . Other wise if you want great service any day is great. I like Connolly's! My friend and I go here for lunch sometimes and the food is always very good! I especially like the salads. The wait staff is nice and the bartenders are very knowledgeable. Apple martinis are yummy and they have a good beer selection. In the summer, the outside patio is a good option. Celebrated my twins' 1st birthday and my son's 5th birthday here over the weekend. Everything was FANTASTIC!!! The restaurant party room itself is beautiful. It's spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. I worked with Bridgette to plan my party and she was awesome...a complete professional. The service was exceptional (thanks Thomas and Christian!)....and the food was phenomenal. I had mostly Italian entrees on the buffet, and for an Irish place, they rocked it! Everything was delish, even the salad! I can't emphasize enough how pleased we were with everything - restaurant, service, food. I had a bad experience for my twins' baptism at another local venue, so I was worried, but Bridgette assured me that all details would be attended to, and they were. I've been here twice now. Once for a lunch service in the party room after a funeral which was handled very well, food was good, great service for a large group, staff was pleasant and attentive. I highly recommend for luncheons with large groups. The second time I stopped in with a friend on a Friday night and we sat at the bar and had dinner. It's a very casual, friendly atmosphere. Connolly's changed its image from a rowdy bar that hosted soccer matches to a family place where your family can come for a nice dinner in their lovely dining hall or still watch a game in the bar. Went to Maspeth for a wake - between services I wandered over. The barkeep, an Irish woman was very nice, and an attentive bartender. The staff seemed to genuinely like each other which is a good sign a joint is being run properly. The food was very good: mussels and later on Tilapia with steamed veggies.
