I came here for a surprise birthday celebration. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were more than generous. The server I believe his name was Luis was amazing, he was engaging and very attentive to our table. The ambiance

Very good service, was a fun brunch and my egg Benedict was delicious! Place is very large and too bright for a brunch when you have the DJ playing but I'll def return. I wanna try their restaurant in the front!

The menu has changed cause there's a new chef in town and I have to tell you the food is better than ever. Their cocktails are amazing as well! The night life next door opened in the evening but stop by & enjoy a meal first. Trust me you won't regret it

We came to have a good time at a comedy game show. We laughed, danced, and had a great time. The Dj was on point, so the ambiance was on and poppin, the service was good, and food was very small portions. I had the Taco Mia, which was 3 small steak but was seasoned. Happy Hour drinks were ok. The mango margaritas could have used a bit more tequila but drinkable. Overall, we had a good time. The place is very chic, grown and sexy. I would recommend it. I don't know about every night....I can only speak about last night.

"Everyone" I was so excited to go here. I heard on TikTok that I would love the experience. It's going to hurt me to write these things as much as it is going to hurt you to read this. On August 18th, 2024, my sister and I walked into the restaurant it wasn't full, but it was cute. We sat at the bar to wait for the rest of our party. It was my and my sister-in-law's Birthday. As we sat there I felt like I'd been here before. I asked the bartender what was the name of the old restaurant. They said Don Coqui. This restaurant was huge, I took my mom here for Mother's Day in 2020. I don't want to get off-topic. When I called to make the reservation I was told that they have a hookah lounge, in the back and DJ will be playing live music. So as I sat at the bar the young lady said no DJ and no lounge it's not enough people. I was very disappointed. I was expecting a brunch party as it is advertised there website. Anyway couldn't go anywhere else so we made the best of it because we had people coming in from Maryland. Everyone showed we sat at our table and ordered our food and two towers the first one was a Mimosa and the other one was a (White Sangria -BEWARE). I will explain. I ordered a Burger that was okay and the family enjoyed their food. My sister had the white Sangria 2 glasses and my brother had 3 glasses. Everyone else had the Mimosas. They kept saying how strong and sweet the Sangria was. Now this is coming from a family who drinks Casa Azul Tequila. In other words, it's not like we don't enjoy amazing cocktails. My brother and sister used the bathroom a bunch of times. Never seen them do this before. When we left the restaurant and that air hit them they were zonked out. My sister threw up violently out of my car and my brother was all over the place. We couldn't understand what was going on. I called the restaurant's number and got the same lady I made the reservation with, who was the owner of the restaurant, and asked her what they put in the White Sangria, she didn't know and had to call me back. When she called me back she stated that they put white wine, peach schnapps, and orange juice. I used to be a bartender, went to bartender school and I never heard of that mixture. Restaurants do make White Sangria different, but this experience was horrible. I had to pull over 3 times so she could throw up and when I got both of them to my house they passed out. That wasn't a good time. It takes a lot for me to give a restaurant a bad review, but this is needed. When I told the manager how sick my sister was all she offered was water.... I will never go there again. Here are the pictures of the food.

Saw their menu online and decided I had to try it. I was glad to see that the restaurant and lounge are separate. I'm just not into lounges much these days. Overall, my experience felt like Astoria has its own Nobu. First off, the cocktails are delicious! These drinks are served in intricate glassware that will dazzle your Instagram and TikTok feeds. Unique flavors I haven't seen elsewhere in the neighborhood. The food was perfect for sharing with a group. Sushi was on point. The wagyu sliders were a hit. Loved the crispy rice so much, the table ended up getting a second order. Our absolute favorite was the wagyu sushi app (wagyu, foie gras, reduction). So much flavor and another app we ordered again. Definitely put this spot on your list! The ambiance is just what your evening needs. Also, I just discovered that they are offering brunch. Will be putting that on my summer checklist.

Red sangria and mimosa

The food was amazing the drinks I could do without went for brunch but didn't enjoy the sangrias, but I heard the margaritas as really good. Waitress was really nice and the place is nice

The ambiance nice, cozy, and intimate The drinks are worth every penny The music was not too loud and I went on a night (Thursday) that I knew alllll the music and could sing along And service was on point. Two things you should know before going. The first they are a stickler on punctuality. You need to be on time for your reservation if not you will lose it. In addition they will send you about 5 reminders leading up to your visit. The last one being 30 minutes before your arrival. In addtion you only have 90 minutes at a table . And when the 90 minutes over.... its over, however you are welcome to stand. The second thing, this is not a let's get lit hookah kind of spot. Very GROWN and mature. You sing along with the people next to you ...you vibe. This is great for a person who wants a nice lounge vibe, great drinks, great music, and mellow crowd. The biggest question then became, where to go? We needed a place that was relatively easy to get to that would hold close to 100 people. Jungly was a contender for several reasons - it's location, size, vibe, and menu all seemed to check off. It also helped that I had done business with the owner previously at one of his other spots. It seemed like the natural choice, so I went ahead with the booking. Jungly is located in LIC - it's a pretty convenient spot as its close to the LIRR and the subway. Parking can be a challenge, but luckily I found a spot only a block away. The space itself is nicely set up - walking in you're immediately greeted by the bar area with dining areas both to the left and the right. Due to our size, they closed the place to the public and we were able to freely roam the bar area and one of the dining rooms. In addition to standard tables, they have some lounge space and high tops by the bar. The vibe is somewhat modern - a black/grey color scheme paired with neon and golds. It looks like the space could easily be converted to a club-like atmosphere. Since we were here for a private event, the food was set up buffet style - we chose three apps, four mains, and two sides. Ultimately, for apps we chose pita bread with dips, steak tacos, and shrimp tacos. For mains we chose fried chicken sliders, smashed beef sliders, cacio e pepe, and roasted chicken. For sides, we got fries and Brussels sprouts. In general, all of the food was tasty; the strongest dishes were the tacos, fries, and the chicken tacos. The tacos were generously filled, the fries were the crispy skin style, and the chicken sliders were nice and crispy. The weakest for me was the cacio e pepe - not much flavor and just not really a standout IMO. My communication with management to set up the event were a little staccato, though in the end everything worked out. For the most part, my communication with them was consistent in the days leading up to the event. Service the night of the event was overall good - they were very accessible but I found that they could have replenished the food a little faster in response to the rate it was being taken from the buffet. The bar, on the other hand, was great - both in service and variety of liquor available. Overall, we had a great event at Jungly. They were professional, fair, and delivered on the goods. I would definitely consider hosting another event there, or dine here on my own.

It was crazy that they only had 1 waiter to handle everything, they should've at least had 2. We placed our orders and he was pleasant and apologized for being slow. The bartender, the one person who should be welcoming and engaging, came across as rude and lacked any charisma. On a Friday night, good energy behind the bar makes a huge difference, and that was completely missing. I ordered a margarita, which is one of the simplest and most common cocktails to make. I asked for it really sweet with plenty of salt on the rim. Instead, it came out barely sweet and with almost no salt. For a $17 margarita, I expected much better. I've had to return the drink because I've had better margaritas for $12 at other places. While waiting for my friend, I had to wait with a glass of water because I didn't trust the way they made the drink. The bartender told me I either needed to order another drink or move, which felt unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. To be fair, the food was good and the space itself is nice. However, the bar service left a very poor impression. There are plenty of more affordable places where the staff are friendly and make guests feel welcome. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend this place. Give this place a 6.5
