Honestly this repair shop sucks. I used them 3 years ago for a repair, in which they lost more then a quarter of the screws to my MacBook Pro, which then subsequently failed due to a short from a screw floating inside my case. I went back there again this week with 2 MacBook Pro Retinas with the tin free soder graphics recall. One which was ghosting and crashing, and the other which failed to boot. They charged me $50 to tell me the logic board needed to be replaced on the one that won't boot, without doing any testing to see if it could be covered under the apple recall. (Well no s**t). The one ghosting, artifacting and crashing they just visited apple.com and loaded a video trailer. Told me it wasn't covered and charged me another $50 Funny thing is when I called apple the senior support advisor was able to pull up these laptops were indeed covered by the recall on there side. Maybe apple has some blame, by not telling these guys which laptops are affected when they know, but these guys just suck. Send your laptops directly to apple, and same yourself some time and wasted diagnostic fees. read more

Quality services at reasonable prices. My iphone battery failed and I took it here because I had been cautioned to make SURE the repair outlet was an Apple one and not a kiosk in the mall. About a week after having my battery replaced, the phone was not charging. I brought it and its charging cable in, and, sure enough, my cable was faulty. The gentleman at the front desk couldn't have been nicer and checked it quickly. The only "problem" i encountered was the having to leave my phone for four hours at the first visit, but that was okay. I would highly recommend them for any computer/phone/ipad issues. read more

I have a brand new iMac desktop that was out of disk space. I reached out to Connecting Point and they were extremely helpful! They gave me detailed options and the pricing and answered my questions about the different ways to add disk space. I'm in Orlando, so they offered that I could drop off the computer at a partner store (huge help). The next day, my wife picked up the computer in tip-top shape with another 3TB of space. These guys are shady. My girlfriend brought her iPhone6 in to get diagnosed (it had battery/charging issues) and we left it there for about 2 hours while they diagnosed it. When we came back there were only 3 apps open, YouTube (which they were using to get the battery to fail), Safari (which was on the AppleCare website), and Photos. When I asked them why the photos app was open (which we had closed out completely before bringing the phone in) but no other apps were except the ones mentioned (we had not closed out any others) the manager could give us no reason and denied opening it up. Unfortunately we have no concrete evidence that they were rifling through her pictures in a gross violation of her privacy, but that's exactly what we think they were doing since they could give us no reason, diagnostic or otherwise, why they had opened that app, which they plainly had. We have filed a formal complaint with Apple and they're lucky this doesn't end in a huge lawsuit instead of a scathing review on social media. Ps did I mention their service sucked. But that's another story. read more

In town visiting family, I was having problems connecting to wi-fi so needed an adaptor to connect my MacBook to ethernet. I called Connecting Point and they confirmed they had one adaptor in stock and offered to set it aside for me. When I got there they also offered me advice on fixing the wi-fi. While The Connecting Point DID manage to competently do what was needed to fix my computer issue, the lack of customer service skills were enough to put me off to this place forever. Work done well, prompt even, though upon reflection I may not have even needed these repairs done, something they just shrugged off when I suggested it. Had they listened to a word I said, or even treated me like a member of their own species, I might be going back for the next repair I've been putting off for my mac. Though I know I wasn't, I somehow felt cheated when I pulled out of their shaded parking lot. read more
