I wanted to try someone local though because the company I bought my laptop at doesn't have a store in Florida. They told me that it wasn't a problem, they would look at it and check the warranty, then call me on Monday. Monday comes and I don't hear from them. At 4pm I call them to check the status of my laptop and they tell me that they are just now putting it on the workbench to look at. Jeremy said he would call me before they closed with an update. The night goes on and I don't get a call. So now it's Tuesday and still nobody calls. At 2pm I call them and get told that I need to activate the warranty through MSI and then come in. I can't activate the warranty because they have my laptop with all the information I need so I decide to just go pick up my laptop and see what the issue is. I get to the store and THEY NEVER LOOKED AT MY LAPTOP. They told me that if they opened it the warranty would be void. So they lied about working on it and held my laptop for 5 days for no reason. I still have no idea what's wrong with my laptop because they couldn't even bother to look at the computer. They knew from the start it was under warranty - why didn't they say anything Friday when I told them? They completely wasted my time.

They did tell me this would happen before I brought my phone in and to make sure the phone was backed up, but when I took it to the phone company to help me activate my phone, they told me that a factory reset was not necessary. I also heard this from 2 other people. One of the people said her bf got the back of his phone fixed at the Viera location and it was not factory reset. So there was one inconvenient piece. Now I am unable to log into my gmail account and have to contact google for help. I'm redownloading all my apps, etc. A huge hassle for something that did not really need to happen.

But he said he could remove the hard drives for free. I agreed to that. He spent half an hour taking out tiny screws, opening the backs, taking out and handing me the drives and reassembling. I asked why he just didn't put the screws in a baggie (they recycle those as well) and he said he likes to deliver the units in good shape to the recycler. He's an amazing tech and so committed to doing the best he can for external customers like me and the recyclers. This is why I love Best Buy and Geek squad.
