My local coffee shop! When I'm in the mood for some fresh coffee and don't feel like brewing it myself this is where I like to go! This location is always busy and is a popular spot for a caffeine fix, especially for people in the Algiers Point Area. It's a great place to work, hang out, or just get some stuff to go. I've done the latter two, and will soon be trying the first option. I like to bring my own coffee cup (reuse!) and get it filled with fresh black coffee. Sometimes if I'm peckish, I'll select a treat from their amazing bakery items. And they really are that good! The cookies and the pastries are absolutely worth it! Drinks: Lots of Caffeine options! Parking: Street parking. Outdoor Seating: There are a few places to sit outside. Dog Friendly: Absolutely!

Large at another local shop for the same price as the "large" at congregation.... Make it make sense

Not sure where to start.... It's sad because it's the only coffee shop in the point but I only go if I am completely out of coffee at home. Their sizes are bonkers. The "large" is a small at every other coffee shop, but they'll charge you the same price. They constantly mess up orders (it's happened to me only once but I see it so much it's wild). Slow as molasses. Really nice baristas and atmosphere, just lacking in a lot of ways....

It's a shame they dont have more milk options!! The staff were kind of standoffish but I get people have bad days, but it got to a point where they forgot to even put in my order and I had to ask them if they even had it and show my receipt. Ended up paying $16 for 2 hot lattes which is outrageous. I added a tip of course but I kind of regret it. Coffee was good I guess.

Took the easy ferry across Algiers Point to visit congregation and buy some of their beans and merch. The cortado and English muffin had me wishing this was my daily stop.

Congregation Coffee Roasters, a Brennan family coffee roaster, features a variety of coffee beans and ground coffee guaranteed to appeal to coffee enthusiasts. After trying the chicory blend featured at Brennan's restaurant, we decided to take the ferry to Algiers to buy whole beans (the restaurant has ground coffee to purchase). Well worth the journey across the Mississippi to stop in at this local coffee gem. A lovely local coffee spot with beautiful art work and friendly staff members. Super delightfully casual establishment. A great place for a cuppa coffee! wish I lived in Algiers- I'd become a regular!

We took the ferry to get to Congregation and it was a nice walk. I have been wanting to come back here because they have yummy pastries and this vanilla tahini latte that's incredible. They also used to make Mister Mao chai mix and I really want a bag of it haha We grabbed yogurt parfait, quiche, ham and cheese tang a blueberry muffin.

    apparently very delicious

The proof is in the pudding, or should I say coffee. Pal friend Patty and I thought we would venture away from our regular spot after passing Congregation a zillion times. Very cute, neighborhood coffee joint. I love the vibe. We decided on breakfast sandwiches and our perspective coffee choices. I ordp o

We stayed and we are so glad we did, we had some of the best food of our entire trip! I was in New Orleans for the 2026 Jazz and Heritage Festival, so my mornings were my own. I travel alone and don't always look for reservations when planning on a meal in this city. Streetcar Café is a perfect choice for what I was looking for: ample breakfast choices, a full bar, and excellent service by Andres. I ordered two poached eggs ($3.50), a single pancake ($4.50), and hash brown potatoes ($4). Totally reasonable pricing, and excellent meals, topped with the Always Summer (Malibu rum, Triple sec, OJ, Pineapple juice, Grenadine, $13). The place filled up pretty quickly after I arrived at around 10 a.m. Andres did an outstanding job of keeping track of my order, and served up the menu items piping hot. Couldn't finish it all, but it was a best-choice for brunch this morning.

We arrived sans reservation, but were whisked straight into the courtyard -- arguably the best seat in the house on a pleasant Louisiana evening. Between the soft night air and the glow of the courtyard, the atmosphere alone deserved applause. The cocktails arrived first and immediately set a dangerously high standard: beautifully crafted, perfectly balanced, and the kind of drinks that make you consider canceling your plans afterward. Fortunately, the food rose to the occasion. The edamame and roasted Brussels sprouts disappeared with alarming speed, and the Amelie Salad was a standout -- generously portioned, fresh, vibrant, and substantial enough to be an entrée or ideal for sharing if you're pretending to be civilized. A special nod to Liz, who elevated the entire experience with spot-on recommendations, warm hospitality, and the rare ability to be both attentive and effortlessly relaxed. In a city famous for memorable dining, this meal still managed to feel special -- equal parts elegant, welcoming, and unmistakably New Orleans.

The host was extremely welcoming and friendly. Our server and helpers were over quickly to drop off waters and greet us. I ended up ordered the salmon. With it being so early and only one or 2 other tables besides my friend and me, the food did take longer to come out than I expected it to. Both of us did thoroughly enjoy what we got. The salmon was crispy on the outside with a nice sauce over it. We thought we'd have time to get dessert so we ordered a couple but that too took a very long time. We finally waved down our server to cancel and get the check since we had to be somewhere and he apologized and said their WiFi was going in and out so it could be that it was registering on the kitchen side. That may have explained why our entrees took too long. If it wasn't for the service and the food being great - I would not be thrilled about timing. We got there around 5:30p and had to leave by 7:15p so an almost 2 hours experience that probably could have been 1 hour.

We went all in: shrimp and grits that were downright phenomenal (I'm still thinking about them), a goat cheese omelette that was so good it made me question all my past breakfast decisions, and pancakes with berries that tasted like they were made by someone who genuinely cares about your happiness. The coffee? Strong enough to fix your life. The service? Warm, attentive, and somehow psychic--they just knew when we needed refills or another mimosa (which, for the record, felt less like a drink and more like a lifestyle choice). Honestly, this place doesn't just serve breakfast--it gives you a reason to get out of bed. 10/10 would wake up early again... and I do not say that lightly.
