I am sorry that I took so long to review this office. But I have had bronchitis for sever weeks since my visit here for a tooth extraction and wasn't feeling up to much of anything. Dr. Huynh is amazing! She has an excellent bedside manner and must have known from experience how to handle anyone with anxiety from prior dental procedures. She was so patient and informative and kind. She helped me with extra numbing as quickly as possibly when we realized that I was metabolizing it quicker than average. She referred me to another clinic for further work and I will be following through now that I am feeling healthier again. I highly recommend her for any emergency or extraction. read more

Where to begin, If I could give her 100 Stars I would. First off I had an emergency with a tooth breaking on a Friday night. Called every dentist around and no one could help me. I was so terrified anyway because I thought they would just pull the tooth. My daughter kept up the search and came across Dr GiGi. She said 'just call and see what they say'. I didn't even want to by this time as it was late at night and I had work in the morning (Sat). I decided to try, and low and behold Dr Gigi answered my call. She said 'don't worry I will meet you in the morning'. I got there at 8 am. She took a look at the tooth and saw how upset I was that I might lose it. Well to my surprise, she saved my tooth! This tooth had broken on the inside corner and left a gaping hole where the HUGE filling had been from the previous dentist. She had never seen a filling that big. One of the most important things to note here is that I have been terrified of going to the dentist because of the horrible work I'd had at other dental offices. I have been back for my crown which is so perfect you can't even tell its a crown. It feels like the tooth and fits perfectly. I also went for a cleaning which she did herself...I loved it! I needed two fillings replaced from the previous dentist. How could I ever love going to a dentist appt!! Today was my second filling and I had zero pain. I even booked another cleaning because I just love her so much and how she has helped my teeth. She is so fun and keeps you engaged during the procedure's that you forget your at the dentist. I'll start out with saying that I am absolutely terrified of dentists in general. I'm pretty sure that this stems from the fact that a few years ago, a different dentist really messed up with my teeth. The result was that I had to get the job redone after a painful few week. I haven't visited a dentist in years because of that. But then I got a cavity and I was reduced to scouring my neighborhood for a dentist that actually seemed decent. I'm so extremely glad that one of my friends recommended Dr. Huynh. She is absolutely the nicest, most deserving dentist that I've ever been to. Not only is she an absolute sweetheart, she also actually knows what she's doing, which was such a breath of fresh air. So I got the filling in addition to a cleaning, and can I just say that it was the best experience I've ever had with a dentist? Not only was Dr. Huynh perfectly clear in explaining what she was going to do, she also made me feel at ease. If someone's going to do work in your mouth, a feeling of security really helps. After all was said and done, I felt so much gratitude and respect for this dentist. It's really hard to find a reliable dentist these days, and even harder to find one who knows what she's doing. Concord Smile's Dr. Huynh is one of the few who falls into both of these categories. My experience was so pleasant that I'll recommend her to anyone who has teeth troubles 100%. Dr. GiGi is AWESOME!!!! When I came to her last year, I hadn't seen a dentist in close to a decade and had severe dental anxiety. She had me come in for a consultation and X-rays, and then gave me a prescription for a mild anxiety drug to take an hour before coming in next time for my cleaning. As it turns out, I had a failed bridge and required an extraction and 2 implants to replace my failed teeth. She explained everything, made me feel very at ease and comfortable, and after my third visit I didn't need to take the anxiety medication! She's professional, knowledgeable, funny, and down to earth. I'm so grateful I found her, I wish I had found her sooner! read more

I had an emergency without dental insurance. My crown of 15 years broke off then the back of the tooth. I can't even begin to tell you the pain I was in while I hunted around for a local dentist. I didn't think my broken crown was that bad at first. Dr Gigi is extremely thorough in explaining everything. Her expertise and patient care outstanding. I am really afraid of dentist so for me to recommend one is a big deal. She took her time digging out this broken tooth stuck deeply in my jaw which needed a bone graph second as I watched her stitch it up with many stitches I lost count of as the hole in my mouth was that big. All I am thinking is I wish I went to her sooner. Her attention to detail and obsession with dentistry is similar to mine selling homes. (I am Realtor) She stayed late after hours to help me. This is the best experience I've had at the dentist. I initially saw Dr. Gigi for an emergency, on a weekend when my own dentist didn't even return my call. Guess who has a new patient for life? She drove all the way out and opened the office for me and my fractured front tooth. I was in a lot of pain and before we even talked about what would happen, she got me numb so I could calm down and think. I was still sad about my broken tooth and embarrassed about how it happened, but now I could think about what I wanted to do. She gave me the option of bonding the tooth temporarily while I decided what to do. I had a long-time, beloved dentist in Berkeley who retired and I was so nervous to look for a new dentist, it ended up being a few years before I pulled the trigger and decided to try Dr. Gigi (based on Yelp reviews). Yes, my teeth were mess, but everything about the visit was as good as it can be when your appointment stretches into a few hours (I needed a crown and a cavity filled along with my cleaning). Dr. Gigi is so nice, personable, and makes you feel welcome. It's hard to find an honest dentist or plumber. Not only is Dr. Gigi an incredible dentist, with the ability to transform even the most seemingly hopeless smile into a beautiful one, but she is also an incredible conversationalist (yes, even with her tools in your mouth) and a warm, genuine human being. As someone studying computer science, I expected the usual "oh, that sounds hard" response that I typically get when she asked what I was studying, but it turns out that she had taken many of my CS courses at Cal online! Inevitably, a conversation ensued about programming languages. This is the type of experience you will get when you visit Dr. Gigi. To further demonstrate my claim, I had a 1 o'clock cleaning today (8/25). My appointment was at 1 PM, and she was finished by 1:45. However, I did not leave her office until 3 PM because we had gotten into yet another amazing discussion about CS. Thankful she was not particularly busy, we sat in her lobby as I showed her one of the apps I was writing and we discussed the code.
