I grew up with realllllly messed up teeth. Had cavities and braces for four years plus a neck gear in my teens and of course I didn't wear my retainers sooooo fast forward a few decades later and bam! A lovely gap started to emerge between my front teeth and was getting wider by the day. Dr. Khang and his team are super amazing people- very friendly and they truly care about their patients. They worked with me on a plan that fit my needs teeth-wise and financially as well! I never thought I'd be saying this, but I actually enjoy going to my ortho appointments! Another plus is Dr. Khang's office is super high tech and clean. The X ray machines and all their other dental/ortho machines (I clearly don't know the names of any of them) are all new- I feel like I'm at a dental spa in Korea! They also have fun games for kids each month too! Thank you to everyone at Walnut Creek Orthodontics for making my experience such a pleasant one! read more

We've been coming here for years, first for my older daughter and now, my second as well. We were sad to see Dr. Erdell leave, but Dr. Khang is equally amazing. He is very personable, likable, and professional. Everyone in the office is very kind and great with kids. The office is beautiful , clean and modern. The whole office has a great vibe, and it matches the entire staff. I would recommend anyone here. read more

Just WOW! Listen, if you happen to stumble upon this review, have it be the last one you need. I just cannot say enough amazing things about this practice, this team, this office! Talk about T-L-C this place has it in spades!!! T - is for Technology; the latest equipment and techniques make getting braces dare I say - fun. Oh and their Texting is super responsive for any last min appointment requests. L - is for the Little Things! From the stuffed treat bag of all the things you CAN eat with braces (Mac n' Cheese, Pirate Booty) They really take notice of the little things that keep patients happy and comfortable. C - is for the Center of Excellence. At the center of what they do, they do it oh so well! They C for communicate where you are in your treatment, what to expect. My dentist referred me here because the glue on my retainer came off. Due to I got the retainer out of state I needed a new DDS. The office is in a business park, I believe they moved here 1-2 years ago. The inside was decorated as if you were at a beach. It was very cute for kids. They have a computer to check in, but due to this was my first time here I sat in the next room and didn't see it. I checked in at the desk. I was brought to a room after a very short wait and they took pictures of my mouth. We used these metal contraptions to hold it open wider for the shot. Very strange. Next I had a 360 X-Ray. The new kind of x-ray machines. Next I went into a consultation room. In the end I paid much less then I expected, which is good. I was also given options for the teeth that moved. My dentist sent me here because this office is open 1 Sat a month, like my dentist. It works perfect with my work schedule. read more

I've had my braces from here for about 2 years now. So far I've had a pleasant time here - from the staff down to the procedures - and I haven't had any major problems. My mom had one problem with one of the staff members there seeming inexperienced, which made my mom uneasy. She later got that resolved promptly with Erdell, and we've both been happy to be with her and her staff. Short wait times, easy sign in, friendly staff, child friendly environment, and pretty neat promotional things they throw in from time to time. At the moment they're having free tickets to the new Lion King premiere, and we'll be seeing how that works out (possible update). The prices I'm not very aware of, but I believe they're about right for a this kind of work. Overall this is a great place, with friendly staff, and a great doctor! Would recommend! read more

Dr Erdell is super nice and very knowledgable. All of the staff her is very welcoming and excited to see us when we visit. I have suffered from TMJ for almost all of my adult life, and it wasn't until I saw Dr. Erdell that I was out of pain. Finally, no more popping, no more clicking, and no more pain! WOO HOO! It is difficult to find someone that REALLY knows how to deal with TMJ pain. Absolutely Fantastic! Thanks again! Sincerely, Your life-long patient! read more

Dr. Erdell is super sweet and came highly recommended by my dentist and I totally see why. She is great with kids and my son definitely liked her. I've been to another ortho for consult and although she was nice, I wasn't completely sold on her. Another HUGE plus is her rates are very reasonable compared to other orthos in the area. Plus they offer monthly payments with no interest! Been dreading getting braces for my son after hearing how much it was going to cost....now I feel much more at ease! Thank you Dr. Erdell! read more

Friendly staff. My son and I felt very comfortable here. We are supposed to be back in February to see if he is ready for braces.

Dr. Erdell and the staff are amazing! The office is clean and the staff are all super friendly and professional. I wanted to correct my bottom teeth, and Dr. Erdell gave me all the options, timeline, and cost. After I made a decision, we started treatment, and now my teeth are exactly what I wanted! Now I just go in for follow-ups and check-ins. I highly recommend Dr. Erdell Orthodontics. read more

Looking for an excellent quality orthodontics treatment with an more affordable price tag (when comparing with the orthodontics clinics in Walnut Creek)? You got to check it out here! Dr. Khang is very patient, knowledgeable, friendly, and skilled. His orthodontic assistants are also very skilled, gentle, and friendly. I have super sensitive gums. But Dr. Khang and his staff always make me feel comfortable and as relaxed as possible. My appointments are mostly with Luselle so I want to give special thanks Luselle. Luselle has this magic power to transform an orthodontics visit into a spa treatment! Her hands have magical power of putting the most sensitive gums and picky patients at ease! I never had to come back and cut/adjutment the wires or bands after every orthodontics visit. And I felt very ok at every visit when tightening of the wries /bands. I believe that if I were not treated by Dr. Khang, Lurselle, and the other wonderful staff, I'd be very miserable at every visit. Thumbs up to Walnut Creek Orthdontics! read more

Dr. Erdell and her staff are fantastic. She has been wonderful with helping me straighten my teeth with invisible aligners as a 50 year old. I've always felt welcome and comfortable. Walnut Creek Orthodontics - Orthodontists Near Me - Walnut Creek, California

Dr. Erdell is incredibly professional and is a perfectionist. She recommended I see an oral surgeon for my underbite and was very upfront about what my options were with and without surgery. She was willing to take me as a patient even if I did not want surgery, but she made sure I was well informed to make a decision. I just got my braces off (12/8/18)! One year with braces prior to surgery, 1.5 years post-op. My surgeon had never worked with Dr. Erdell before, but was impressed with the promptness of her team and how she lined my teeth up for surgery. All of my appointments were easy to make and she offers one Saturday a month in case you are a working adult, like myself, who cannot easily take time off during the week. Dr. Erdell has the most up-to-date knowledge and leverages technology such as for creating my retainer. She personally looked at my teeth at every single appointment. Toward the last month, I sent her photos of my teeth through email when I had questions about my progress and she responded within the hour, even late in the evening! If you want the best smile, expert advice, and personalized care, I highly recommend Dr. Erdell and her office. I even referred my partner to her and he is completely satisfied with his Invisalign treatment so far. I see both kids and adults in her lobby and can see a lot of people come for good reason. With so many patients, it is impressive that I am always given a lot of appointment options and never have to wait more than 10 minutes to be brought back. read more

I am reviewing my initial consultation visit for Invisalign. Dr. Erdell and her staff are professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. The office is very clean and spacious. I had braces as a child, and now as an adult, I have spacing and crowding that needs to be corrected. I felt at ease with Dr. Erdell and confident she knows what she is doing. I have decided to go with Dr. Erdell, and have my first appointment in a couple days. I will follow-up with a review once the Invisalign is completed. read more

Update: I received a call from Dr. Iris Erdell to discuss the ongoing issues I have experienced with her office. She offered to open the office and fix my daughters bracket, and said she would speak to her staff about communication with families of her patients. I have to say that Dr. Erdell far exceeded any expectations I had with regard to customer service. I certainly did not expect such a fast and hands on approach to finding a resolution. She seems to really care about her patients and about their experience in her office. I am hopeful that the issues we have experienced are not the norm and that things will work out for the best. My daughter loves picking out her color rubber bands when she goes in, and says the staff is always very very nice to her. The staff has been very helpful over the last few days with appointment scheduling and discussing my concerns. So, with that, I am changing my rating to a 4 star. read more

Dr. Erdell took over an exisiting practice and we were skeptical having had a relationship with previous ortho; however, she was warm and extremely knowledgeable regarding what needed to be done in Phase 2 for my 12 yr grandson after two years of just wearing a retainer when first round of braces came off. She and all her staff made him and me feel extremely comfortable and he can be quite difficult but has done great with her AND HER STAFF's patience answering all his questions as things are going along. Pricing has been fair as well as Payment plan set up for my daughter. All appointments are set up in advance and rarely have we had any wait time. If we are early, generally with enough staff, they usually take my grandson early. Very happy read more

Amazing woman! Hard worker! And my teeth are gorgeous! Thank you!

I have been with Dr Erdell for about a year and a half now and I know for a fact that she loves her patients as if they were her own. She comes in early and leaves late to make sure that not one of her patients is uncomfortable in any way. She put my braces on recently and I love them. She is tender with her touch and walks me through everything. If something were to happen I know she would be there to help me fix the problem. This is the second time I am in braces and everything she has done has worked out perfectly I can already see my new smile. I would recommend bring anyone including my own children here anyway. read more

We live in Martinez, but drive to Walnut Creek for this Ortho. My daughter started with Dr. Erdell almost two years ago and we have had nothing but a great experience. The process went exactly as we were told it would and she is set to get her braces removed in two months. GREAT customer service, fair pricing, nice staff and best of all my daughter's teeth look fabulous. Dr. Erdell takes time to answer all questions in detail. After every appt. my daughter asks her when she will get her braces off and the Dr. explains AGAIN in detail what happens next... I feel lucky that we found this place. read more

We relocated to the East Bay leaving behind an Ortho Team that we had a long relationship with and loved. So, having to find a new Orthodontist was not something we really wanted to do. Our move interfered with the completion of our daughter's treatment which resulted in some relapsing. Dr. Erdell's team member, Tami, was absolutely fabulous and super helpful. She wasn't pushy and listened to our ortho history and concerns. She had our insurance coverage looked up and ready to go when we got there. When Dr. Erdell came in she took the time to answer all of our questions and allowed us to entertain ideas (both practical and not so practical) regarding our daughter's treatment. When we went in, I had an idea of what I felt might work best for her...Dr. Erdell really took the time to show us the appliance and how it would work. Ultimately, we opted to go with another treatment option but I was beyond thrilled to have a better understanding of what needed to be done. At the end of our appointment, we sat down with Tami to discuss the financial portion...She didn't charge us a "records fee' nor did she push for money down. It was simple, easy and no pressure... We look forward to beginning our daughter's treatment with this amazing team this week. Great office! read more

We've been seeing doctor Erdell for a year now and I'm very happy with the care our daughter has received. The staff is always amazing as well. We recently had an appointment this past week which ran behind significantly. We usually have after school appointments for my daughter so it isn't a big deal, and we've never had to wait in the past before. The staff could tell I was a little irritated. They apologized as well as the doctor came in and apologized personally. They sent us in as soon as they could. And we weren't there for very long once the appointment began. We received a note in the mail today with an apology from the doctor personally and Jamba Juice gift cards. We were never going to hold it against them for running behind these things happen from time to time anywhere, but that extra card in the mail really made our day and they went above and beyond. We appreciate it very much! Thank you Dr. Erdell!!! read more
