I grew up with realllllly messed up teeth. Had cavities and braces for four years plus a neck gear in my teens and of course I didn't wear my retainers sooooo fast forward a few decades later and bam! A lovely gap started to emerge between my front teeth and was getting wider by the day. Dr. Khang and his team are super amazing people- very friendly and they truly care about their patients. They worked with me on a plan that fit my needs teeth-wise and financially as well! I never thought I'd be saying this, but I actually enjoy going to my ortho appointments! Another plus is Dr. Khang's office is super high tech and clean. The X ray machines and all their other dental/ortho machines (I clearly don't know the names of any of them) are all new- I feel like I'm at a dental spa in Korea! My dentist referred me here because the glue on my retainer came off. Due to I got the retainer out of state I needed a new DDS. The office is in a business park, I believe they moved here 1-2 years ago. The inside was decorated as if you were at a beach. It was very cute for kids. They have a computer to check in, but due to this was my first time here I sat in the next room and didn't see it. I checked in at the desk. I was brought to a room after a very short wait and they took pictures of my mouth. We used these metal contraptions to hold it open wider for the shot. Very strange. Next I had a 360 X-Ray. The new kind of x-ray machines. Next I went into a consultation room. In the end I paid much less then I expected, which is good. I was also given options for the teeth that moved. My dentist sent me here because this office is open 1 Sat a month, like my dentist. It works perfect with my work schedule. read more

I've had my braces from here for about 2 years now. So far I've had a pleasant time here - from the staff down to the procedures - and I haven't had any major problems. My mom had one problem with one of the staff members there seeming inexperienced, which made my mom uneasy. She later got that resolved promptly with Erdell, and we've both been happy to be with her and her staff. Short wait times, easy sign in, friendly staff, child friendly environment, and pretty neat promotional things they throw in from time to time. At the moment they're having free tickets to the new Lion King premiere, and we'll be seeing how that works out (possible update). The prices I'm not very aware of, but I believe they're about right for a this kind of work. Overall this is a great place, with friendly staff, and a great doctor! Would recommend! read more

Luselle has this magic power to transform an orthodontics visit into a spa treatment! Her hands have magical power of putting the most sensitive gums and picky patients at ease! I never had to come back and cut/adjutment the wires or bands after every orthodontics visit. And I felt very ok at every visit when tightening of the wries /bands. Dr. Erdell is incredibly professional and is a perfectionist. She recommended I see an oral surgeon for my underbite and was very upfront about what my options were with and without surgery. She was willing to take me as a patient even if I did not want surgery, but she made sure I was well informed to make a decision. I just got my braces off (12/8/18)! One year with braces prior to surgery, 1.5 years post-op. My surgeon had never worked with Dr. Erdell before, but was impressed with the promptness of her team and how she lined my teeth up for surgery. All of my appointments were easy to make and she offers one Saturday a month in case you are a working adult, like myself, who cannot easily take time off during the week. Dr. Erdell has the most up-to-date knowledge and leverages technology such as for creating my retainer. She personally looked at my teeth at every single appointment. Toward the last month, I sent her photos of my teeth through email when I had questions about my progress and she responded within the hour, even late in the evening! If you want the best smile, expert advice, and personalized care, I highly recommend Dr. Erdell and her office. I even referred my partner to her and he is completely satisfied with his Invisalign treatment so far. I see both kids and adults in her lobby and can see a lot of people come for good reason. Update: I received a call from Dr. Iris Erdell to discuss the ongoing issues I have experienced with her office. She offered to open the office and fix my daughters bracket, and said she would speak to her staff about communication with families of her patients. I have to say that Dr. Erdell far exceeded any expectations I had with regard to customer service. I certainly did not expect such a fast and hands on approach to finding a resolution. She seems to really care about her patients and about their experience in her office. I am hopeful that the issues we have experienced are not the norm and that things will work out for the best. My daughter loves picking out her color rubber bands when she goes in, and says the staff is always very very nice to her. The staff has been very helpful over the last few days with appointment scheduling and discussing my concerns. So, with that, I am changing my rating to a 4 star. read more

Dr. Erdell took over an exisiting practice and we were skeptical having had a relationship with previous ortho; however, she was warm and extremely knowledgeable regarding what needed to be done in Phase 2 for my 12 yr grandson after two years of just wearing a retainer when first round of braces came off. She and all her staff made him and me feel extremely comfortable and he can be quite difficult but has done great with her AND HER STAFF's patience answering all his questions as things are going along. Pricing has been fair as well as Payment plan set up for my daughter. All appointments are set up in advance and rarely have we had any wait time. If we are early, generally with enough staff, they usually take my grandson early. Very happy read more

I have been with Dr Erdell for about a year and a half now and I know for a fact that she loves her patients as if they were her own. She comes in early and leaves late to make sure that not one of her patients is uncomfortable in any way. She put my braces on recently and I love them. She is tender with her touch and walks me through everything. If something were to happen I know she would be there to help me fix the problem. The process went exactly as we were told it would and she is set to get her braces removed in two months. We relocated to the East Bay leaving behind an Ortho Team that we had a long relationship with and loved. So, having to find a new Orthodontist was not something we really wanted to do. Our move interfered with the completion of our daughter's treatment which resulted in some relapsing. Dr. Erdell's team member, Tami, was absolutely fabulous and super helpful. She wasn't pushy and listened to our ortho history and concerns. She had our insurance coverage looked up and ready to go when we got there. When Dr. Erdell came in she took the time to answer all of our questions and allowed us to entertain ideas (both practical and not so practical) regarding our daughter's treatment. When we went in, I had an idea of what I felt might work best for her...Dr. Erdell really took the time to show us the appliance and how it would work. Ultimately, we opted to go with another treatment option but I was beyond thrilled to have a better understanding of what needed to be done. At the end of our appointment, we sat down with Tami to discuss the financial portion...She didn't charge us a "records fee' nor did she push for money down. It was simple, easy and no pressure... We've been seeing doctor Erdell for a year now and I'm very happy with the care our daughter has received. The staff is always amazing as well. We recently had an appointment this past week which ran behind significantly. We usually have after school appointments for my daughter so it isn't a big deal, and we've never had to wait in the past before. The staff could tell I was a little irritated. They apologized as well as the doctor came in and apologized personally. They sent us in as soon as they could. And we weren't there for very long once the appointment began. We received a note in the mail today with an apology from the doctor personally and Jamba Juice gift cards. We were never going to hold it against them for running behind these things happen from time to time anywhere, but that extra card in the mail really made our day and they went above and beyond.
