I was coming from out of town to visit family and I came here for a second opinion for my daughter and I am ever so glad and thankful that I did! Upon walking into the office, you are warmly greeted. Everything is clean, neat, modern, brightly lit and comfortable. I was given a tour around the facility and a breakdown of each section and what was done in those areas. The staff there is very friendly and warm. My daughter had X-rays done while she was there and they explained what they were doing while they were doing it, making it more comfortable and enjoyable for her. Dr Schellinck is very personable, professional and knowledgeable of his work. Didn't sugar coat (pun) the process and made an emphasis of how important it is to find the right orthodontist for the work that needs get done correctly so it doesn't negatively affect her later in life. He took the time to explain to me in detail of what ortho work my daughter would need , how it should go and what we should expect. He even did some research and gave recommendations on what orthodontics offices I should consider looking into that is around the area I live in. He worked with me to treat my son's genetic underbite at a younger age per my wishes as I didn't want the bad bite to impact the adult teeth. He was patient with his young age. He discussed treatments and studies on the treatments indicating he was up to date on research. He explained this treatment protocol and reasons behind, and gave the realistic explanation that genetics could overcome the first course of treatment in upcoming years. There is always a smiling face at the office desk when you come in and a supportive tone when scheduling appointments. Being this lucky to have both of my kids to get into Dr. Schellinck's hands for their orthodontic treatments is unreal. We were referred by kids' dentist and if we had to choose better we wouldn't be able to. Dr. Schellinck is extremely meticulous, professional, knowledgeable and at the same time very friendly. We are very happy with Dr. Schellinck and his staff. My teenager has had braces for the last year and her progress is great so far. We chose Dr. Schellinck over the other orthodontists we consulted with for a few reasons- 1) His office is nice, it's not run down, it's not dingy, it's welcoming. Parking right out front and it's free- this is MAJOR for Walnut Creek. 2) They do all their services in their office. Many offices outsource their images so if they need an xray (they will need several), you'll have to go somewhere else, take another afternoon off work, etc. At Schellinck it's all right there. 3) Out of all the places we saw, Schellinck was only a few hundred dollars more than the cheapest place, but with a "free" toothbrush and not having to pay for separate xray appointments, he ended up being the best value. 4) Martin is honest. One other orthodontists told me my youngest (10) needed a spacer right away, and would need braces twice (with about a year in between). Schellinck said that was was many orthodontists way of getting kids in as soon as you make the appointment, a place holder. Martin said that my 10 year old doesn't need braces for a while and that he only does it once, doing it twice is usually just another way to make more money. 5) The office staff is on top of it. They remind you of every appointment, they are very kind when needing to reschedule. They answer every email and every phone call. We are happy with our experiences at Schellinck Orthodontics and will bring our other children into him as they grow...for their siblings discount of 5%! read more

Happy Easter! I have some amazing good news to share about Schellinck Orthodontics. On Friday late afternoon my 10 year old lost a tooth attached to his braces but we were in LA. This kid leaves Monday morning for the 5th grade camping trip. I was in a pickle. I called our orthodontist and he made a special emergency appointment for Easter Sunday morning at 10 am. Well this is a long overdue review, we are beyond happy with the friendliness, professionalism and talent of our orthodontist. My son was advised by his dentist, kids dentistry across the street, to get consultation with 2 orthodontists he was recommending. First one an older one in the same building, although very nice and experienced he wasn't very attentive to the fact I had mentioned my son had dentist phobia and he unleashed a chain of braces on the tray. So it was a no. Then we went to Dr. Schellinck and wow what a difference. Extremely attentive, he listened, he connected with my son over video games and got a suggestion of a new procedure that would avoid 24/7 braces for the next 5 years literally. My son ended up with his teeth in the back forward in 5 weeks!! He will have braces in the future of course but at least not 24/7 until then to correct the backward teeth. I highly recommend him without a doubt. Even more so if you have a child like mine not enthousiaste with dentist. He had suggestion, ideas and he listen to our concerns, I can't thank him enough to make my son so happy. I'd give more stars if I could! Dr. Schellinck + team are THE best! I came to Dr. Schellinck with an overbite that, as an adult, had started causing some premature wear on my teeth. We went to Dr Shellnick because we were referred to him by another orthodontist who was too busy to take us. Most of the others that we had called were not available until months later. I explained my daughter-in-law was from Ukraine fleeing the war and had no dental insurance, but needed the help. The receptionist when I called was very pleasant and helpful. Dr Schellnick's office took us that very day and he performed the work within a few minutes. He said there would be no charge and just asked that we would write a review about him.
