Dr. Selehi is such a wonderful professional. He is the gold standard. I was referred to him by my dentist for a consult and was so impressed with his manner. He communicated clearly to me his assessment of the situation. He made sure I understood everything. He conveyed the highest level of expertise and made me feel that I couldn't be in better hands. The only problem is that now I compare other health care providers to him and unfortunately some do not live up to this standard. I would recommend him without hesitation!! Dr. Selehi is the best. I wish I could give home more than 5 stars. The practice is clean and the front office team are warm and helpful. Endodontic work isn't going to be fun but Dr. Selehi does everything to instill confidence in him and his recommendations and to reassure his patients that they are in good hands. Saving teeth is his mission. I had a 2 part root canal after one I had done years ago failed and caused and infection. Dr. Selehi did a spectacular job on the replacement and saved my tooth. Dr Selehi saved me from having to get a root canal! I was referred to him by my dentist who told me that x rays showed that I likely needed a root canal. They were able to get me in the same day, and when I got to Dr. Selehi he explained to me that what he was seeing didn't really show that I needed a root canal but that he'd do some tests to be sure. Well he was able to locate which tooth was giving me pain (which was actually the tooth next to where the dentists thought I might need a root canal) and found that there was likely just some decay underneath a recent filling that hadn't been entirely removed. So he was able to go in and get that decay out and put a new filling on, and he told me that I narrowly avoided a root canal as the decay had spread right up to just before the root. And he was able to do all of this in one day which was really helpful as I had to travel down from my home in Eureka since I'm unable to get a new dentist up there since moving away a few years ago! read more

I recently had a consult appointment with this office and was highly disappointed with the service. The office receptionist Zarina was extremely stuck up and rude to me when I was asking simple questions. She made me feel dumb for asking basic questions that she didn't explain in the first place. Extremely condescending. I can tell this is just her personality since she was rude to the other young receptionist in the front who would ask her things as well. Not to mention, the assistant with blond hair that took my x rays clearly didn't want to work either, very nasty attitude the entire time. Dr. Salehi is a great dentist and explains things thoroughly, very unfortunate that he has a few rotten employees. If it wasn't for how great of a dentist he is, I would no longer be coming here. read more

I had my first appointment with Dr. Salehi, today. Just for a consultation. I went completely unprepared, without any note of which tooth prompted me to request an appointment. He really took the time to try and find the said pain that I was claiming. I forgot which tooth I was experiencing pain in, and wasn't sure if I was feeling the right pain, in the right place, as he tried all the tests. I sent them all over my teeth, taking X-rays of teeth that were apparently fine. He also took the time to explain to me, that my teeth may just be sensitive, & how he would approach it, if I actually needed a root canal. He was really really well mannered, dealing with a patient that gave him.. absolutely no helpful information on the reason why I was there. On top of not bringing any note of which tooth was the problem, I made the mistake of not seeing my dentist first for this specific problem, before seeing him. That appointment/referral just was established over a phone call, without any recent examination. Now that I saw him, he instructed me to see how it goes (probably because I was very unhelpful), and that I could always call them if I come across some discomfort. I believe I'm seeing him again for a follow up in two weeks. His patience was really noteworthy. Also, I read some reviews on here as I prepared to meet him, & some of the ones I saw were a little misleading. For my very first impression, he & his helpful staff gets 4 stars. First of all, from the minute I spoke to the receptionist to the moment I left I was astonished at how exceptional my procedure was. We all hate going to the Dentist, and I was scared about having an infected tooth and getting my first Root Canal. This is my first yelp post, but I had such a great experience I thought it was worthwhile to share my experience. I was scheduled for a routine root canal with my dentist, but about 45 minutes into it, he stopped and said that my canals were too calcified and he could not find them. He referred me to a endodontist. But my insurance had limited doctors, so I ended up turning to Yelp, where I found Dr. Salehi. I usually get very nervous with dental procedures because of some painful experiences when I was a kid, but Dr. Salehi was fast, efficient, and the only thing I felt was the initial shot. He was terrific and made sure I was comfortable and took the time to explain the procedure and the results. He also gave me a post for my dentist that would be the perfect fit for my crown....no charge, just so that my dentist wouldn't have to do any guesswork. ....fast forward 2 more weeks. I receive a *refund* check in the mail because my insurance paid more than the estimate!!!! I would give Dr. Salehi and his staff 10 stars if I could. Best Root canal ever! Dr. Salehi treated my pain and my fear of dentists. I've had the unfortunate privilege of having a root canal performed once before, and it was a nightmare come to life. But this time it was much better. I was very nervous about the procedure, but Dr. Salehi took the extra time to ease my fears while I waited for the local anesthesia to kick in. I was referred for my very first root canal to Dr. Salehi & I'm glad ! He is EXCELLENT ! From start to finish, he was welcoming, warm, and very informative. I have extreme anxiety when it comes to the dentist & he put me at ease, right away ! My procedure was quick (2hrs) and painless. In fact, I waited until the next day to write this review waiting for the pain to start... However, I have felt VERY LITTLE pain or discomfort! I even got to enjoy my own choice of music on their Pandora station. Music always helps people relax. Dr. Salehi was awesome. The root canal I was dreading was not bad at all. He made me feel comfortable and at ease. The only negative feedback I can say about this office is that the front desk staff needs extensive training in communication and customer service- particularly in returning messages left on their voicemail in addition to leaving a patient on hold for a significant amount of time. I get that you are busy but leaving a patient on eternal hold hoping they will hang up is not good customer service. Without a doubt, best root canal I have ever had. I had a VERY painful tooth for a few months. Purposely waited as I have a big fear of the dentist. I had prior surgery to remove a tumor in my jaw and my nerves are a little wacky. Dr. Salehi only needed to give me three shots and I was totally numb. He performed the root canal and talked me through the entire procedure. There were no surprises. I called him 2 days later to report that I had no pain, which was shocking. He referred me to Dr. Salehi ( whom I had never heard of ) His staff Zerina ( hope I spelled that right ) was completely awesome with assiting in the procedure ( playing Justin Timberlake on Pandora for me ) and dealing with my felixble spending account issues, you can always hear a smile in her voice. Dr. Salehi is truly as good as it gets! I was so nervous when I found out that I needed to have 2 root canals done because of all the awful horror stories you hear about them, (but leaving it and not doing anything would definitely be much worse). Everything about the experience was very "inviting" and "nonthreatening"; from the office (not your typical sterile dentists office), to his staff. He was so knowledgeable and made sure I was comfortable and knew what was going on every step of the way. I was scared that I would be in a lot of pain, but it was honestly pretty painless with little to no discomfort during the procedure. I actually FELL ASLEEP while he was performing the root canal...that's how comfortable I was! He made sure I had no questions and was properly informed about the aftercare and healing process, every question i had was answered even ones that I didn't. I had a speaking engagement the same day, about an hour after the root canal, I was worried I'd be in too much pain to go, but I was fine with Motrin once the Novocaine wore off. Dr. Salehi was referred to me by 32 Dental and am I ever glad I took their recommendation. Dr. Salehi was very helpful in determining which tooth was actually the one giving me pain. He did some tests as well as x-rays and convinced me that it was a different tooth than I thought was the problem. Pain almost gone but not all the way so I did go back for the other tooth to be given a better root canal than what I had already. Again he evaluated the situation and determined that some cement from previous work I had done out of the country was causing me the additional pain. He removed it and now I am totally pain free. I am so happy and relieved that I didn't need to have the second root canal. Thank you Dr. Salehi. A big thank you to his receptionist for helping me with some other questions I had. I want to thank everyone that works here for providing me with the best service I could possibly ask for, the place is beautiful, and so clean, I mean really the place is spotless. Getting a root canal done is never something you want to get, but if you need one (or two like me) this the place to get it. Dr Salehi was so nice, he explained the entire procedure step by step, and he made my entire visit a pleasure, my root canal was painless, him and his assistant kept me calm and feeling extremely safe throughout the entire process. After he was done he showed me what he had done, the before and after xrays, and told me that if i had any concerns or any discomfort the next day to give him a call, even though it was a holiday. Dr. Salehi and his staff are quite simply the best. I experienced an immediate response to a crisis, and excellent follow up to a complicated root canal. Dr. Salehi was always available to answer my questions and made himself available after hours and weekends for calls. He patiently explained all the options, and with clear objectivity explained what he recommended as the best option for saving a tooth at risk. My comfort was always a priority, and my experience was painless application of the local anesthetic, and in fact the entire root canal.
