I don't know if that's the case, but it kind of feels that way. A lot of stuff here are brands I've never heard of, but you can find brand name stuff here (Apple, Belkin, Targus, JBL, etc). We came here to buy an external hard drive after the current one decided to die. When we asked an employee (I think his name was Hector), about whether or not the particular hard drive we were looking at would be right for its intended use, he was able to answer our questions. When we checked out, the cashier asked us a bunch of questions about what we were buying and if we had any questions. We asked her about protecting devices from static electricity, and she didn't have a clue about anything beyond scanning purchases and pushing the extended warranty plans. If you have questions about items here, just ask one of the employees...not a cashier. Overall, this is a nice clean store. Don't expect to find everything you're looking for. But if you need basic accessories and gaming stuff, this place has all of that.

But, when I arrived they said the first step was $49 for "diagnostics" to see if my phone was eligible for a battery replacement which would take an hour, and then they would see if the they had the battery in stock. So, the $110 repair appointment was going to cost $159. I never would have made this appointment if they had been truthful about the price up front. I told the associate that it sounded like a bait-switch rip off to me and that they should honor our agreement; he told me "well, you made the appointment here not the Apple Store". So, it's MY fault for scheduling service at a disreputable business. Noted. Won't make the mistake again. By the way, the "diagnostics" is free at Apple Store and it's just a program that runs on your phone in a few minutes.

    The delete key on my MacBook Pro stopped working on my work computer, so I had to quickly get it…read morefixed. I spoke on the phone with them first and made an appt for the next morning to get it looked at. The total charge included getting my battery replaced as well, which is something I've needed for the last year. Luckily for me it was a great 2 birds one stone deal. They did everything by the next business day and everything worked as expected. 50% deposit and balance upon completion. Super straightforward. The best part is that they are professional, communicative, and you can tell they aspire to high quality all around in their operations. I'll be coming to them next time I need a repair or upgrade.     I was initially very pleased with the quick turnaround and friendly service when I had my iPhone…read morescreen replaced. They were pleasant and professional and we exchanged a bit of humor over the phone and in person. Unfortunately, just two weeks later, a noticeable black blob appeared on the new screen near the Dynamic Island. This looks like OLED screen bleed or a defect. The phone has remained in a case with a screen protector the entire time and has not been dropped, bumped, or otherwise mishandled. Given the timing (only 2 weeks after installation) and the specific location of the spot, this issue is almost certainly the result of either a defective replacement screen or a problem during installation (such as trapped dust, adhesive, or pressure damage). It is not consistent with normal use or accidental damage. I offered to bring the phone in so they could inspect it in person, but they declined and immediately dismissed the warranty claim without examination. While I understand repairs aren't perfect, I'm disappointed they are unwilling to stand behind their work and honor the warranty on what is clearly a post-repair defect. I went from a satisfied customer who would have returned and recommended them to someone who can no longer do so. Potential customers should be aware that warranty support may not be reliable here. EDIT: Contrary to the response below the phone was never physically inspected. Rather, the response was based on a set of photos sent showing the issue which, alone, would be virtually impossible to come to a conclusion of physical damage versus defective product. As a customer, you are in a no win situation here as no matter what happens they are going to blame you and not the manufacturer or installation for the problem.

    With the sole Onkyo service center closing in the Chicago area, I was driven to find someone closer…read moreto home who could fix an HDMI issue where it took a long time for the receiver to seemingly warm up and deliver HDMI video/audio. Talked to a number of places nearby and they didn't do work on these lower end units since they weren't as serviceable but Anthony recognized the problem when I called him and said he'd take a look. After a week he assessed that the easy fix of pushing on the problem chip since that at best is a temporary solution and could actually cause it to fail. We agreed to give it another week for him to try to obtain a factory refurb kit (to remedy design flaws) from one of the closed service centers. He got the kit and he undid a kluge repair that the authorized service center had done a year ago to get the LED display back so that he could refurb all the flaws inside to factory standards. Receiver is in tip top shape. Cost me $240, but kept this heavy piece of electronics out of the waste bin and does the job at home. (and saves me the search to roll the dice on a new receiver). Anthony's great on the phone and in person working with customers.

The idea is such that all items…read moreare 14 dollars starting Fridays and the price goes down 2 bucks a day until items are 2 dollars by Thursday. My wife and I were quite excited for the program and we have gone five different days now at different price points and we both agree that: 1- this was a great idea in theory. 2- this is not working at all. 3- you can't just upload Amazon trash on your customers and call it a deal. The VAST MAJORITY of the items are not worth spending a dollar on. These have to be items where it would be a loss for Amazon to restock it so they sell it in bulk to Staples and staples tries to make a couple bucks selling literal garbage to your already dwindling brick and mortar clientele. It's embarrassing for your company. I'm old school so I'll still pop in from time to time when I need pencils, but the bins are a complete failure.

    Bought an HP printer five weeks ago. Stopped working brought it in to be evaluated at uBreakiFix…read more(highly recommend them!) and was told it's unrepairable. Staples would not take it back and said I need to work through Hewlett-Packard. I only came to Staples and didn't order on Amazon because I try to support local businesses, bad move, don't support this one. They could've very easily exchanged it and dealt with Hewlett-Packard and kept a good customer. They have a two week policy for return even if it's damaged or broken or defective! Beware! So sorry I didn't use Amazon. Stick with Amazon customer service as far as superior.
