I took my Sony Vaio in because it was extremely slow and I was having wireless connectivity issues. Honestly, I was just going to buy a new computer. Sultan figured out the problem in no time. Amazing service! Go here! I've tried many repair shops and this is by far the best. Way faster, more personal and better price by a mile compared to Micro Center. When Micro Center told me it would take 5 weeks for them to even look at it, Sharif opened my PC and plugged it into power and monitor right there in front of me to take a look. Sharif is the man. He put so much time and love into my PC, which had a corrupt SSD. I almost lost all of my important work files, but he did a full recovery after many attempts. Any other computer store would have tried once then told me I was screwed. It was his mission to find a way. And he charged a very good price. It took multiple nights of running recoveries--little by little he fought to recover all of my files. It means everything to not only have that stuff but to see staff understand that value. Fantastic service by Sultan yesterday. I came in because my laptop was running really slowly and I wanted to see what the issue was. Sultan ran multiple tests, swapping out my RAM and hard drive to see what the issue was. I also brought in my old, water damaged laptop to be recycled. In the process of diagnosing my current laptop, we discovered my old hard drive and RAM were salvageable! I went to Computer Zone on a whim given that the Apple Store genius bar wouldn't even try to fix my wife's computer due to a stripped screw. I called for and asked if they would fix it. Sultan said he'd take a look. I went in and within 5 minutes he'd made quick work of the stripped screw and diagnosed the problem. Less than an hour later, it was fixed and he installed memory I'd been meaning to install. He also looked at my computer, diagnosed that problem and had it back to me by the next day. They had a similar computer in the store so ended up testing my computer's parts against its to find out the problem. That could not have been a simple or quick process. They were able to figure it out AND did not charge me an arm and a leg. So, my computer is up and running and pretty happy now. I don't know what I would have done without Sultan's help! My brother passed away in January of this year and I needed to file his 2017 tax return by October 15. The problem was that the accountant needed his previous tax returns and the only way we could get them was through his computer, which had a password. Looked up 3 different repair places before finding Computer Zone. I was getting ripped off for a simple soldering fix. Computer Zone was prompt on the telephone and offered me a solution at a reasonable price. Upon coming in the two employees, fine gentlemen, found out that soldering was impossible as the port fell of the motherboard itself. But very quickly they were able to determine that all I needed was a new caddy for my hard drive (meaning they could forgo with the data recovery option which is expensive.) I had the oddest experience here. Decided to bring my laptop in based on the all the positive reviews and because it's in my neighborhood. I called about 10:40 this morning (they say they open at 10) to make sure they were open as it's a holiday. The person who answered the phone said "the guy" was running late but would be in a few minutes and they would be open. Ohhhkayyy. So I ran my other errands and got to the shop about 12:30 to find the "Open" sign on and the door locked. I called the number on the door (different than the number listed here on Yelp) and the person who answered said "the guy" had stepped out to do [something] and would be back "in two minutes." Ten minutes later a guy finally comes and unlocks the front door and says "Sorry, I was in the bathroom" (omg). Then he just looks at me, doesn't say "how can I help you" or anything so I proceed to log into my laptop and tell him the problem. He then says the technician is out on a call and won't be back until after 2 but I can leave it there and he will diagnose and call me. So I put my name, phone number, password and a description of my issues on a sheet and leave my laptop. I then just get a terrible feeling about the fact that I've just left my laptop and password with who knows who and they now have access to my bank account, email, everything. And I don't even have a receipt. Based on how weird it had all been up to that point on top of it I decided to turn around and get my computer back. I don't know if it was an off day or what but they sure made a bad impression on me and don't seem like a serious business. read more
