These guys restored some of my faith in humanity by helping me with my dying computer and giving me a number of options costing far less than I thought I'd have to pay to get my work up and running again. Didn't ask for a penny in return for about 20 minutes of consultation and support. They even gave some tips to my friend who had come in with me. They are what customer service used to be. read more

These guys are terrific. As a low-tech-savvy Boomer, I sometimes am baffled by my laptop. Brian and Armando are gentle and very knowledgeable and u"get me going again in a few minutes of free diagnosis. Why go anywhere else? read more

Excellent service, knowledgeable, great prices! I traveled from Santa Fe, and it was worth it. I will continue to recommend these people! They replaced a hard drive on my Mac. It works perfectly! read more

My dad & i have taken our macbook to them & every one there is amazing. They work hard to get all the information necessary for repair. They communicate so well so we know exactly what needs to be repaired. I would recommend them for any computer needs. Thanks guys for all your work & help. read more

My monitor was flashing and I didn't know if the problem resided in the monitor, cable, or computer. I called Computer Transformer and they told me to bring it in for a free diagnosis, even though everything was still under warranty. They treated me like a paying customer and diagnosed the problem in a couple minutes. On top of that, the technician gave me a tip that I wasn't aware of to make my Mac run faster! And they have free parking on the side of the building. read more

Great, no GREAT, place for computer upgrades, problems. Very knowledgeable , fair prices, and nice people to deal with

Back in the spring of 2022, I dropped off a bunch of floppy disks and non-music storage CDs to have them uploaded to my laptop in a readable form and, if possible, editable form. A lot of what was on those disks was created with obsolete software like Quark Express, MacDraw, and ClarisWorks. Neither Brian, the owner, nor I knew that this project was going to be quite a challenge. It took more than a year to complete my order, but Brian and his crew finished what they could. Part of the reason for such a long wait, besides helping out all of his other clients, was that he had to track down at least one Macintosh circa the late 1980s/early 1990s. This alone was a major challenge. He bought one Mac, then discovered it was the wrong age. Then he found and bought a compatible one. In the end, Brian found everything he needed, but because of the obsolete software, the files opened up in code. He tried finding the software, but you need the correct versions/updates. Brian finished up what he could for now and put everything onto a thumb drive for pickup. He says he wants to keep working on this, as it's a fun challenge to solve. I am happy with what does open correctly. Brian only charged me what he originally quoted. He said that he and his crew learned a lot from my project. A couple of days into 2023, he admitted that they had procrastinated on the project. I get it. It was overwhelming. I've knocked off one star for this review because Brian didn't call back when he said he would. I had to follow up each time, even if a couple of months had passed. Communication with the customer is so important. read more

Brian was excellent. Great communication. Fast in getting a part. And with super fair pricing. Highly recommend!

Absolute 5 star. From the second I called , Armondo was helpful and a great communicator. In the span of 3 hours , I called for the info I needed had my computer brought in and fixed for a better price than anyone in town and faster then I could have imagined. All for an extremely reasonable price. Thanks you guys ! read more

Replaced my power adapter economically fast, friendly service and plenty of service tips !

Nothing but good things to say. I took them a hard drive with a problem; they dropped what they were doing to have a look. It turned out to be a relatively simple fix but it still took up their time and they were quick, friendly and professional the whole time. And when they were done, they refused to take any money for the work. I would expect them to charge for anything else they did--I would have expected them to charge for this job too--but I wouldn't hesitate to go back to them in the future. read more

Had my computer repaired here. They did an incredible job. Cost was VERY reasonable. They definitely went above and beyond. Fixed things I wasn't expecting them too (or even knew were issues or going to be issues). They are very friendly, did not talk down to me or make me feel stupid for not knowing things. They will be the only place I will even consider taking my computer too. read more

Called Brian around noon. Had a friendly and professional conversation where he invited me to bring in my Mac right away with no waiting. When I got there, he fixed my problem with a few quick keystrokes, answered all my questions, and advised me on better malware protection! It was fast, friendly, and most importantly effective. He also didn't charge me a thing. I couldn't be happier or more appreciative. So glad I found these guys. read more

Update: So, last week my baby decided to just quit on me. Again. I knew it wasn't the battery. Brian replaced that just a few months ago. I'm not one to not try and figure out a problem before I run screaming and crying to an expert. After a few hours of attempting to determine what in the world had made her quit, I realized that this was a job for SuperTech - Brian at Computer Transformers. If Lucille was going to survive, I was going to have to pack her up and take her to Brian. So I did. Holding my breath. Scared that it was going to be an expensive fix, or replacement, or I might just have to start all over again. And with the same efficiency as last time, Lucille was back! Brian is more than fair in his pricing. He is more than fair with his time. And he gets you back up and running. He is a miracle worker. Like I said: SuperTech. read more

Brian saved the hard drive in my old Mac Book, after my ceiling sprung a leak and doused it in water. He put it in new housing, with updated OS, and a better battery than what was there before. Everything is perfect again! Even though I have a newer Mac Book, I rely on the old one for easy-access storage of files, photos, and music. With Brian on the job, I now have a better old Mac than I did before the rain. All of that for just above $200. This is my third time with CT. I would never consider going to anyone else. Thank you Brian! read more

Personable, professional, quick turn-around. I needed a laptop battery replaced and though I was able to order the part, the install was beyond my extremely rudimentary tech skills. An additional issue (not the fault of the techs) arose during battery replacement, and was fixed within a couple of days as well. I highly recommend! read more

Recommended by a friend, I took my MacBook Air to Brian when the "geniuses" told me I needed a new $$$ mother board. Not so! Two days and $45 later, Brian had my little laptop up and running sweetly. I took it to him again when a software update messed up the path to my photos -- the photos were there but not accessible through the normal Photos icon. I don't even bother with the Apple Store anymore. Brian is my go-to guy. read more

I have had some serious malware problems with my laptop in the last two weeks. Computer transformers cured the problems for a flat fee of $45.00 plus tax. Then I had a problem with my passwords not working, and they fixed that too under the same flat fee. These people are very easy to deal with. They're located on East Central Ave., next door to the African Drums Restaurant, and a block East of the Route 66 Diner. I've included three photos that show enough of the surroundings so You'll be able to locate them. read more

Friendly, fairly priced, and super fast repair of my dead laptop DC jack. I found this place on Yelp, and liked everything I read about the store's professional and ethical service. I was not disappointed by my own experience. They procured the part needed and completed the repair in just two days, far faster than even their estimate, and my laptop is back to working like new. I'd recommend them as your first stop for any PC repair without hesitation. read more

It was a happy accident that first brought me to Bryans shop about 4 years ago, but I wouldn't think of going anywhere else now. He is knowledgeable about his job and has a high integrity standard. Highest recommendation! My MacPro wouldn't boot up, so I made a Genius Bar appointment. Their diagnosis: fried motherboard with replacement cost of $575. Wanted a second opinion, so took it to Computer Transformers. Brian had it working good as new in two days at a cost of only $45. Trouble with you Mac, go see Brian. read more

Amazing integrity. I heard them on a call. The person working there researched a problem for a customer and told the customer that he would be better off taking the computer to Apple because the cost would be about the same but the apple warranty would be better. As far as my issue goes..looks like an easy fix but I have to wait 4-5 hours. I had hoped to get priority because I have no where to go , literally having been traveling for 2 months, but alas I'm sitting on a dirty old sofa typing this review . Ok..after about two hours the issue was determined. He told me that I just need a new external mouse unless I wanted to wait 4 days for a special order part. Total charge $0.00 The diagnosis took 15 minutes had he done this right off since I was there waiting it would have been a 5 star rating. Great guy. I'd go there without hesitation! read more

My laptop won't hook up to the Internet. I called Brian he was super professional on the phone and I took it in immediately. This will be my go-to for all serious tech and computer repair needs. Excellent customer service, early opening hours, efficient and honest. It's easy to feel discouraged or vulnerable to services that the average person may not feel skilled to resolve without consultation or professional work - I can say I left this place feeling 100% confident in my choice and empowered to handle some basic maintenance on my own. Their standard service fee plus price of parts is probably the best deal in town. The gentleman who helped me also happily gave me tips on how to safely and inexpensively clean my MacBook Pro internally from home. If needed in the future, I will gladly give them business again. Supporting local businesses who demonstrate integrity is by far the most rewarding way to spend hard earned money. Thanks again to their team for their exceptional service read more

Awesome place highly recommend coming here for fixing any issues you have and great price!

My computer died and blew a circuit in the house in it's death-throws. They offer a flat rate of 45$ labor for computer repair, plus parts. The fix was simple, a new power-supply. But, they debugged my system, fixed a start-up issue (which I had noticed, but not mentioned) and cleaned all that New-Mexico dust from the interior for that $45 bucks. The new power-supply cost $80...which I did not think unreasonable since my computer was a custom-job, made to handle graphic-design programs. I noticed an immediate change (for the better) in how my computer started-up and preformed, when I got it home. The shop is unimpressive, two-rooms with a bit of fan-art, tucked in an office complex...but they are cheap and really seem to care! read more

My computer was shutting itself off, freezing, or restarting without warning. It took a while to figure out the exact problem -- first, we thought it might be the power supply; then perhaps the video card . . . it turned out it was the motherboard. Like I said, it took a while to get to the bottom of it, but I was only charged $45 for labor for the whole ordeal (Of course I also paid for the new motherboard, but they helped me find a good deal on one that was just right.) They were even willing to transplant the entire thing into a new (old) case I had sitting around. The service / communication was top-notch, always friendly and professional. I learned a little bit in the process, as well! They're sequestered away in a little hole-in-the-wall, but make the small effort to seek them out, and you'll be pleasantly surprised. Best repair shop experience I've ever had, hands-down. read more

Awesome place! Highly recommend if you have a laptop or computer issue. Free, honest diagnostics and reasonable pricing.

Windows update completely bricked my laptop, and Windows 10 is setup so that you can only create a recovery disk from another Windows 10 computer with exactly the same specs. I didn't know anyone with a laptop just like mine, so found myself at Computer Transformers, following on the heels of all its great reviews on Yelp and Google. Walk-in basis where I dropped off my laptop at the store, explained what was wrong, what data i needed saved from the hard drive, and it was fine to wipe the rest of the machine clean. Owner was polite, knowledgeable, told me exactly what he was going to do to fix the issue and save my data, quoted price and repair time. Roughly $50 and ready in a day or two. Got a call the next day saying it was repaired and ready for pickup. On pickup he reiterated what was done to repair it, showed me where my necessary data and files was transferred and saved, and that he had updated my Windows 10 to the very latest update, so I shouldn't experience any problems with whatever Windows 10 update version had broke it in the first place. He made the process quick, easy, explained simply and lived up to his quote. The price was extremely reasonable, which is rare for computer repair these days, especially on my budget. Next computer issue that I can't repair myself, I'll be coming straight back to this store. read more
