We took our laptop to him because our keyboard stopped working suddenly. He went above and beyond to get it to work again without costing us an arm and a leg. I haven't been this impressed with a business in a very long time. Sam goes over the top with customer service and his technicians are the same. It appears they are using seconds for repairs. We brought in my sons laptop for a broken screen repair. They were extremely helpful and polite. They ordered the screen and and had it repaired in less than a week. While using the computer we noticed a dead pixel near the middle of the screen so we took it back to them. They said that if we had less than 5 dead pixels we were doing well. They said the only thing they could do was to order another screen per military specs and it would cost us 3 times as much. We have had over a dozen flat screen devices, TV's, ipads, computer screens and NEVER had a dead pixel and we get this from them on a brand new screen? Lesson learned. We will not be going back there. read more

We were quoted a price for a battery replacement but it turned out it was a different problem so it was slightly more expensive. I've been using the "I've got a friend" approach to finding someone to help me with my small business network. Had 3 or 4 annoying little connection problems for a couple of years that none of the friends of friends could make go away. Found a postcard from Computer Runner that I pulled off my windshield about three months ago and decided to give them a call. Sam said he'd have a tech out the next day. I had a great experience here! I brought in my laptop which was having screen issues. I asked for a quote before committing to anything, they said sure and I got the quote the next day. It was $50 less than other places I had gone to! I said I would think about it and then brought it back a few days later. They honored the quote even when they found an additional problem with the screen so they made very little money off the transaction. When I picked up my laptop it looked and worked great! He probably had these people leave good reviews for discount. So I called ahead of time asked if they buy tablets. The white guy was like we have to take a look bring it in. I go in first thing the old idiot who claims owner tries to pitch me for $60 to repair the cracks on my screen for my personal phone. I got this for free btw that's why I was appalled. Then he brings out two pos tablets not even bigger than the size of my palm tells me he is struggling to sell them. Then he tries referring me to some of his associates saying they might be interested. Like wtf if u know someone that needs a tablet why are you complaining about not being able to sell tablets that you claim you had for at least a year. I asked anything wrong with product as in performance wise? He's like it's not name brand. I'm like bruh are you effing kidding me so just because a famous logo is stamped on a product it's deemed credible? 3 years ago took in my Sony laptop, bad motherboard, too costly to fix. No charge. Now my desktop "music" hard drive crashed, no worries I can get my music from my dead laptop's hard drive. Come to find out my original 500 GB hard drive had been replaced with a 128 GB hard drive and my 4 GB of RAM with 2 GB. Pretty sneaky, I might not have ever noticed. Where's my original hard drive and ram? Be nice if they offered to recover my data from my failed desktop hard drive to settle the score. read more

I took my laptop in recently for a DC Jack repair. The computer ran great before I took it in, the DC Jack just came loose and was not charging the computer any more. The workers at Computer Runner were very friendly and had my computer repaired in a couple days. I took it home, but when I turned it on, the computer froze and would not work any more. So I took it back and told them about it, they told me it must have been a separate problem (even though it worked perfectly before). After a couple I picked it up again, it did not freeze any more, but when I took it home, none of the programs worked any more. My husband worked on it for 5 hours that night and restored the computer, however now it is extremely slow, the sound card stopped working, none of the disk drives, USB, SD card drives work. I had to buy a new laptop. This was extremely frustrating, it sucks that I paid $200 for them to screw up my computer and had to buy a new one!!! Won't go back! read more

I owe a great debt of gratitude to my friend Dave who recommended Sammie to me. I could NOT be more pleased with the FANTASTIC service delivered by Sam and his tech expert, Scott. I've taken my laptop to them on four occasions over the last year. Twice they have restored my hard drive when I thought I'd have to buy a new computer. The first instance was a blue screen and later I was the victim of ransom ware. Both times I was so relieved that they were able to retrieve all of my data. The other visits concerned a battery replacement and just yesterday, a new charger and cord (I expected they'd have to open up the laptop to replace the plug receptor). Each time, these friendly, courteous and extremely knowledgeable guys quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. The charges are always very reasonable and less than I expected. My first repair was preceded by a trip to Best Buy. I thought that BB was overpriced and I wasn't comfortable with their level of expertise or their estimated charges. In stark contrast, Sam and Scott had me fixed and out the door with the laptop as good as new for less $ than BB would have charged for just looking at it! Sam is just a salt-of-the-earth guy who's as honest is the day is long. I have always left his shop knowing that he would or did deliver more than he promised for less money than I had any right to expect‼While I only discovered Sam about a year ago, he ranks right next to my mechanic whose kept my cars purring for 20 years. I would not think about going elsewhere. The shop location is a bit tricky to find but just call them and they'll tell you exactly how to get there. They've even been known to wait on the sidewalk to flag someone down and make sure the customer found them. I understand they may be moving soon to a larger space in the area. I will follow them to wherever necessary when I need their help. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you do the same!! read more
