After doing my own research, I decided that it would be best if I send in to a 'professional' to get it replaced and have the set up done. Once I got it back, everything ran considerably slower - The boot times went from a couple of seconds to 5+ minutes. I had to do my own research to discover that when they put in the new SSD, that was all they did. When they set up the new OS on my computer, they did not even bother to initialize the new SSD. That means that my computer was completely unaware that my SSD even existed. So for about 1.5 weeks, my computer has been running everything on the HDD, which even the most clueless of computer owners know is not right. It took me 30 seconds of googling to discover the proper procedure to follow in order to actually repair the issue from start to finish, and these guys managed to take about 2 weeks to do it, and they did it wrong. Find somewhere else to get your expensive electronics fixed, because these guys do not know what they are doing. Also the place reeked of sewage.

Abraham is the shop owner and I respect this business owner because he is willing to evaluate his profits and make small concesions to seal the deal. I expect to be jerked around. It seems to be common. It is refreshing to run into someone who runs an honest business. My spouse's laptop is working fine for a reasonable price. Without going into a long diatribe, I'll simply say, the repair I had hoped for would have cost me a ton of money if what Apple had told me was true. The problem was identified and it was a mutual conclusion that the cost of repair was more than it was worth. In the long run, buying a new one would be the better avenue. There was much going into identifying the problem. The bill was more than reasonable. I have to say the lesson was worth the expense. Ehab was a delight to deal with. Be honest with him and he'll be honest with you. Simple really. A blast from the past - good customer service without phony corporate speak. His shop doesn't have the sparkle and hype that the Apple store has. It does have straight talk and excellent service. If the service is more important than the bling, give A+ PC a go.

Kevin was methodical and diligent about isolating my computer glitch and then fixing it. His patience and methodology even amazed me as after 2+ days of continual experimentation, Steven texted me and game me good news. If you have a problem with your computer, give PC ICU a chance. I chose PC service Dallas to have the keyboard replaced on my MacBook Pro, because the keys were sticky and making strange sounds due to a small spill on the keyboard (other than the feel and sound, the keyboard and every other part of the machine was performing normally.) Sam told me they would install a "Grade A,"brand new keyboard in this machine. Sam failed to inform me that this keyboard would be taken from another MacBook Pro that they had in their shop, which is a used machine and therefore it is not grade A condition. When I initially arrived to drop off my computer to have the keyboard replacement done, Sam attempted to convince me to also have them replace the battery, and proceeded to show me the battery cycle count, which read at over 1100. I said that I did not want to replace the battery, as even though the cycle count was high, it has been working normally. I paid $320 and signed the paperwork for the keyboard replacement in the morning. (Note: I have now learned you should never pay upfront for a computer service that has not yet been completed.) Sam said the computer would be ready later that same day. Just before 3PM that day, Sam called me and AGAIN, attempted to convince me to pay $200 to have them perform a battery replacement, saying that he had just received a new package of batteries for MacBook pros and I once again declined the service. Then, after initially stating the computer would be ready by the time the shop closes at 7 PM, Sam called me back at 3PM and said that there were "a few keys that still need to be installed." This statement in and of itself doesn't align with service requested, a brand new keyboard replacement, because new MacBook Pro keyboards come as one unit. Sam told me to come back and pick it up on the following day, Sunday, even though their google profile states PC Service Dallas is closed on Sundays. I questioned them about this, and Sam said the shop would be open regardless. I arrived to the shop on Sunday morning and initially, the computer seems perfectly normal, and so dID the keyboard. so I take it home and use it the following day on Monday for work only to find that my space bar was not working properly and all of a sudden my computer started to say " Service recommended new battery" which at first I thought was just a coincidence, I called Sam back that same Monday and he would replace my keyboard again, I trusted him yet again. I went in the following Saturday to have the keyboard replaced and I picked it up that same day at around 7 PM. I asked for my computer and after waiting 10 minutes I started to question where my computer was they brought it out attached to my charger and I questioned why they needed to recharge my computer in order to turn it on, because I had specifically left it at 100% when I dropped it off that morning and Sam said that they needed to turn it on even though all they had to do was a keyboard replacement which does not require any battery power. He plugged it to charge my computer, after taking more than 5 minutes it finally turned on and I noticed that it would not charge more than 1%, I took it home and it would no longer connect to my wifi or connect to any of the ports. I had my computer professionally inspected to find out Sam had completed changed by mother board, battery, and several other parts to scam me and reuse them for other jobs. The service: the support guys seems to try to be very communicative. However, often times information provided to you may seem contradictory or confusing. You may have several different people reaching out to you that you don't know providing updates and information on your device with private information. The price: I'm not sure what the going rate is for a charge, battery, or DC jack, but I paid I over $400. I felt like I was bamboozled a lil bit. Overall, my laptop was at this shop from about Oct 25, 2022 to Novemeber 23, 2022. If you know that you need a quick fix and this location can do the job quickly, I'd definitely try Tech Support.
