In short, Bassem at computer Corners diagnosed the problem as the motherboard but was able to retrieve all my files. I just finished transferring them to my new set up. What seemed like the bleakest day was saved. It was interesting to watch him work and try various solutions. In the end, he saved my files and gave me advice on what to get next and how to use Time Machine for backup. The process was reasonable too.

I love his store filled with great memories in the 70's, 80's and maybe some 90's. He has a great collections of my fave 80's movies and soundtracks that brought a lot of great memories. I encourage people to visit his store for some nostalgia. Maybe browse, purchase, reminisce, get your computer repaired or just do them all. I remember as I walked in and discussing my laptop issues and at the corner of my left eye, I see an album that was one of my favorite 80's in movies...it was called "Some Kind of Wonderful".
