Verizon computers repeatedly froze up during the sign up process and our helpful but justifiably drained Verizon staff member, had to check with his unseen manager for 10 minutes, three separate times. We simply wanted to buy a phone, and pay for the whole thing, for our nephew to replace his phone that broke on the Appalachian Trail. After an hour, we believe it was perhaps done except Verizon won't actually sell you a freaking phone. They require you to make payments. Plus, they don't have any phones in inventory. Plus, they are apparently required to try to sell you crap you don't want. They were even required to offer services to my wife and I which we declined, repeatedly. We all had to listen to multiple offers unrelated to the simple desired transaction we actually wanted to perform. Meanwhile, we couldn't read and accept incredibly lengthy terms and condition sheets due to the computers locking up, over and over again. What a struggle! All this hassle, for more than an hour, just to buy a phone, which they didn't have. Life is good with telecommunications. Verizon leadership... please go to a Verizon store and try to buy a phone with Verizon service. I dare you.

And was flexible with me to be able to meet at his house & drop off my laptop. The issue was the left side hinge that someone came undone. He left me know he needed to order some screws and the updated price. Once he had the hinge "fixed" he didn't like the way the laptop screen now "stuck out". So he brought a new screen/backing for my laptop. Since he was not personally happy with the way it looked, he offered to buy me a new/used latop. I never saw it with the "poked out" screen but I would have rather kept my laptop. He said he would take some time and research for laptops of my specified specs. So, I said okay. Please let me know what you find before making any purchases. A few days later he calls and tell me that he opened up my laptop, saw water damage, and now miraculousy my laptop NO LONGER WORKS. The screen does not appear - even with external monitors, just black. This was very disappointing and frustrating. Laptop worked fine before I dropped it off, with the exception of the hinge that came undone. Not sure why he didn't check everything (atleast turning it on/off) in the beginning. I even asked if he wanted the power charging cord when I dropped off the laptop. Still dont understand why he would offer a new laptop and then a few days later say my laptop doesnt work and he's not going to replace my laptop.
