My girlfriend took her computer here to get fixed. Weekly, they promised they would either have it fixed, or they would call her each Friday. For two months they never contacted her once, and would make excuses for why they have not. Completely unprofessional and would not even give a full refund. Customers Beware: Unsafe Behavior and Unresolved Damage. This has been the most disturbing and unprofessional experience I have ever had with any service provider. My daughter hired On the Go PC Repairs to fix a cracked screen on her $2,000+ computer. What should have been a routine repair turned into months of silence, additional damage, and ultimately an assault inside my own office building. After the initial repair, my daughter discovered that the camera -- which had been working perfectly -- was now broken. The company first quoted around $500 to fix the issue, then later agreed to $200. She has initially paid about $400 to fix the cracked screen, and we later discovered that the camera ( which is attached to the new screen replacement was defective. In both cases, fees were fully paid because service. On the 2nd repair, they kept the computer for over five months, ignoring repeated calls and emails. On the day of delivery for the 2nd repair, we were informed that the USB port was now broken, even though it had been fully functional before we handed the computer over. Again, the owner vehemently denied any wrong doing, and stated that these things happen" , but that he can repair for $300. Of course, I informed the owner that we were not interested in doing any more business and questioned how is it that this port is not damaged. I also want to mentioned that this is a high-end Apple computer and recently purchased a couple years ago. When I met with him to received that the computer after paid services. When I refused to sign a document stating that I was satisfied with the service -- especially given the new damage and the months of unresponsiveness -- the owner became physically aggressive. He grabbed me and restrained me from walking away because I would not sign a paper saying I agreed with the service, despite the fact that we had already paid in full. This happened inside an office building lobby and in full view. Police were called, and assault charges have been filed. Building management documented the incident as well. I ultimately needed a police escort because I no longer felt safe in my own workplace. When the police questioned his justification for his action, he admitted that he gets customers all the time who are unhappy with his service and they reverse credit card charges. This company's conduct was unprofessional, damaging, and ultimately dangerous. I strongly urge anyone considering their services to look elsewhere. I wish that my daughter had done her research to read the previous online reviews. Another note : This company does not have a physical location at the office on the website. They use this address to deceive people into thinking that this is their established store front, The owner only uses this address for customers to drop-off PCs and pick-up their PCs. They fill in their form for service at the front desk, but will never speak with a real consultant in person. He does not have an office there, it is just an address and the receptionist working a the desk does not work for him. BUYER BEWARE. I try really hard not to pounce on anyone that is trying to do their job, but the negative reviews on this place are legit. I fear it may be a scam and would advise anyone considering them to go elsewhere lest they lose money (I had to wrangle a $140 refund from the jaws of death) and a lot of time (6+ weeks to receive a computer back in the same condition I had left it). I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but everything after the initial pickup was misleading. These guys happily took my computer (which admittedly had a complex problem with a broken motherboard), and promptly charged me $200. After running a diagnostic, they told me they just needed to order a part, and that it would take a week to fix it. I was over the moon that they could do it at such a great price and so quickly. I called at the end of that week when I hadn't heard anything, and they informed me that they were "still testing it" and should be ready by the end of the next week. They assured me that they would call when it was ready. This interaction repeated itself every week, and then every 3 days when I realized it was taking so long, for more than a month. Eventually, I had to call from my work cell phone and then my girlfriend's because they weren't picking up when I dialed from my own phone. When I reached them to tell them the process had been too long and requested a refund and my computer back in its original condition, the owner chastised me for being impatient (!), that they had been in constant communication with me (I had to call them every single time, it's complete gaslighting), and that what I had signed actually hadn't entitled me to a refund if the services weren't completed. It was ludicrous of them to set such expectations, but they reeled me in and made a sucker out of me. It took me COUNTLESS calls and coming down to the co-working space that they use to pick up the computer, and then a separate trip to obtain a cash refund that covered everything except for the "part" they ordered. The partial refund took them two days longer than they had initially promised, and they showed up in person on neither occasion - they just left the computer and cash with the collective workspace's receptionist. Honestly, I consider myself lucky for getting even some money back considering what I've read elsewhere. When I got the computer back, it looked like they had never even touched it. I doubt they even ordered "the part". Save yourself the emotional energy and don't trust them with your valuables or personal information. The whole experience made me feel violated. read more

A part arrived damaged and they promptly reordered it with expedited shipping so I was without my computer for only acouple of days. In all the price was fair and the service was impeccable. DONT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR VALUABLE ELECTRONICS! Been over three weeks and my pc still hasn't been repaired, it's super hard to get them on the phone now that I have paid them for the repairs. Wouldn't recommend them over other repair stores who answer the phones and have good customer service. I could have easily gone to the store or ordered the parts they are still waiting on. Be one thing if the waiting list was long or they where slammed with work but waiting for weeks on parts with no answered phone calls or updates makes me not recommend this company. I would go with any of the other pc repair shops that understand how to answer a phone and give realistic time tables for fixing your gear. So far it has taken me days on the regular to get a call back. All the times for repairs, reasons for repairs, and everything they have told me from Day one has been wrong. To include the fact they work over the weekends and could be reached on weekends. Again don't trust this company! Update: it's now been another week. They claim the motherboard they got in the mail is broken or they misdiagnosed it. I asked them to set up a time tomorrow for me to retrieve my pc and take it someplace else. They refused to set up a time to return my pc to me. I have never been with a local repair company that refused to return my gear once I asked for it back. I would highly recommend not using this company ever! UPDATE NUMBER TWO: After being promised I would be returned my pc parts and sometime in the future get a refund minus the service fee. I have even requested to come to them and that I just want the parts in whatever state they are in. I have tried both numbers multiple times. Nothing but crickets! I had some zip ties on my gpu that they claimed they took out and put into a different system to check it. Along with all my other parts that they clearly didn't move at all. DONT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! I've waited several months before writing this review to reflect on my experience. I had previously given this business 5 stars; after a fairly ugly interaction with this business, I no longer recommend its services. I had a desktop that needed larger hard drives installed, windows reinstalled, and additional memory. I had the computer picked up with the understanding that it would be returned after a long weekend. They missed the deadline with many excuses. One delay, which I discovered after the original delivery date had passed, was caused because they ordered the wrong part. They wanted to wait for its delivery so they could return it, get the credit, and then make the correct purchase. When I asked why they couldn't purchase the correct part now so that I wouldn't have to wait for them to be credited, I was told they didn't have the capital to make the $250 purchase - despite my having paid for all parts up front. I was called unreasonably demanding. Since then I've discovered three separate problems that go beyond the initial irritation and delay. First, one of the installed drives was formatted in exFAT which is used for removable drives to be compatible with Mac or windows. It is not recommended for drives that will use Windows 10 solely, and I've seen some discussion that it is more prone to file corruption. I will have to reformat this drive and reinstall all data again. Second, the memory they added is slower than the memory they were supposed to be matching; the computer will use all the memory but at the slower speed. The difference in practical terms is low but it suggests sloppy work in my opinion. Third, an existing blu-ray disc drive is not being recognized by the computer. I'm inclined to believe the blu-ray drive wasn't checked to ensure it was recognized when the new hard drives were installed. I'll look elsewhere for my future computer needs. read more

This is literally the worst computer repair company that I have ever used and I cannot recommend this company to anyone in good faith. They are dishonest, disorganized, disrespectful and fail to communicate properly. Simply put, the lack of communication was worrying. Due to this company requiring payment upfront, and the consistent lack of communication and dishonesty, no one should be willing to trust this company with their hard earned cash. Context: I was promised that my computer screen would be repaired within two weeks times at most. I waited two weeks and began calling this company on their 301 telephone number. Over the course of the next 3 weeks (5 weeks without this computer) I began making countless calls and voicemails to try and determine if they still were going to return my computer. After being ignored for literally 3 weeks, despite the computer not being returned and no one providing me information about why my computer had been delayed, I received a return call promising my computer to be returned to me within the next couple of days. Since that return call, it has been another 3 weeks and I have placed numerous calls into this company. They again ignored me for three more weeks before finally returning an email that I sent them. It has since been a month and I have yet to receive my computer. To make matters worse, this company flat out lied to my face. They tried to tell me that they have been having phone issues and that was the reason for the lack of communication. 2 months of phone issues is not really believable. Also, this company had my email address and cell phone and could have easily contacted me prior to a 3 week return delay to inform me of the issues that were causing this delay. And to put the cherry on the cake, I called the company today and was told that my computer is repaired. I asked for it to be returned today, but the employee told me that he could not return the computer to me today because they had misplaced my computer charger in their store. At first, I was impressed with the service for replacing my laptop screen hinges and bezels. It did take a couple of weeks for the parts to arrive and for my computer to get repaired. BUT, when it was returned to me, the new parts had visible scratches and gashes in the screen cover. When I agreed to the service, I was told that parts would be new. I was not informed that the new parts would be used or visibly worn. Shortly after, I spoke with the manager and he offered to send me a $20 refund for the damages. After a month of waiting, a check has not been received and On the Go PC no longer answers my calls. read more

I've had my laptop for a few years, and it had been slowing down to the point where it took a few minutes to boot up completely. Then one by one my browsers stopped working. I was figuring I may need to buy a new laptop because I didn't want to just go and leave my computer with some store that was going to make up some issue and then charge me as much to repair it as a new one would cost. Also a friend who knows computers said my computer had a few issues that he didn't know how to deal with. A woman who works in the same office building as this place told me they had done a great job fixing her PC so I took a chance and took it in to find out why none of the browsers were connecting. They called, told me exactly what the problem was. The price they gave me was surprisingly low. The also said that they noticed my computer was starting up slowly and if I wanted they could fix that for an extra $25.00. Lastly, they said they could drop it off AT MY FRONT DOOR when I wanted. Are you kidding me?! So I now have my computer back, it runs as fast as the day I bought it, the other problem is fixed, and I didn't have to go anywhere to pick it up. I've already recommended On The Go to another friend and cannot say enough good things about them. Following multiple attempts to reach them, I put in a dispute with my credit card company. After that, they reached out and got my fixed computer to me. The repair was fine, my computer no longer has a cracked screen, and the fact that they picked up the computer from me and dropped out off at my place was nice. When I finally got my laptop back, the computer casing was BROKEN. The delivery guy even told me that I could take the laptop to another repair shop to fix for about $200, even though they broke it. Though the employees I interacted with were pleasant and sounded like they knew what they were doing, the reality was the process of doing business with this company was frustrating at basically every turn. I interacted primarily with one employee and the mobile repair employee. It's convenient that they offer pickup and drop off services, but beyond that everything was lacking. After pre-paying $200 for the cost + labor of installing an LCD screen, it took them almost three weeks to get me machine back though they initially assured me it would only be a few days. Then when I got my laptop back, the screen looked great, but the mouse no longer worked. This was not a problem when I gave it to them, and they previously told me they ran diagnostics on the machine and determined no other problems existed besides the screen. They were not willing to offer a significant discount for the new issue they caused. I use this computer for personal as well as work-from-home use, which I communicated to them at the start of the process. Just frustrating to deal with and a bit unprofessional. This business is a SCAM. They sold me a DuraBook laptop in Jan-2018 even though the Durabook mfg had broken their partnership with them. They took $3,592.00 of my money fully knowing they would NEVER deliver this laptop. After a month they sent me an email stating it would be at least another month before I would receive this laptop due to a part shortage. After another month went by I called the Durabook mfg office in CA and they told me OnTheGoPC was no longer a partner of Durabook and had no legal right to even sell me the laptop. They further explained that OnTheGoPC had been sent a letter to take DuraBook off their website, which they ignored. The "crew" took in the computer and asked us to pre-pay for the cost of the screen $200. Sound familiar? See other reviews below. Seems like this is a well oiled machine for these scammers. They have not answered my phone calls for 4 weeks after this. Then they said that the part they ordered was wrong and asked me to wait more. I went into the "office" several times (was never able to talk to the actual employees, just the secretary in the building, who was working for another business). Basically, after 6 weeks of scandals I received the computer back and it came with "new" frames and cover cases that were scratched and of poor quality and were obviously taken from an old computer of some sort and simply placed on ours, the charger was not the original one either and was old too (it ended up dying a month later). The computer has not been properly working ever since. Waste of money, time, energy, nerve cells. Ablsolutely horrible place, awful people, AVOID! I had a broken laptop screen and nobody else would repair it. I went to Best Buy and they told me it would cost $300. I am so glad I called On-The-Go instead! I called in the afternoon and they got back to me within ten minutes, made an appointment to come to my home the next day, and repaired my laptop quickly. So I called On the Go PC repair over a weekend because my pc was experiencing the dreadful blue screen of death issue. I spoke w/ a friendly gentleman who assured me that if I gave his company the opportunity, they would be able to diagnose and resolve the problem. I told him I'd already taken the computer to another pc repair shop in the past and they could not tell me why I was experiencing the BOD. On the Go PC Repair scheduled my computer for a pick up the next morning (a Sunday!!). The repairman was on time (and gave a courtesy call before arriving). The repairs were discussed with me and made quickly. The price was quite reasonable. I have my pc back w/o any issues or concerns and I'm a happy camper! They lost 6 years of photos, documents, and data off of a fully functional machine. I bring it in for a glitchy mouse touchpad on my laptop, they say I need a new hard drive and a new mouse pad and quote me a price I have to pay up front. I pay it. I hear back a week later that they didn't realize my old hard drive was a steady state hard drive and they had ordered a non-steady state one. Fine, but if they had even turned on my computer or opened it up they should have known that it was steady state. I don't hear from them for over a month. I finally call them up and they say it's been ready for a while. They never called to tell me. I pick it up and anything that had been on there from the last 6 years has been deleted. Personal photos, all my master's course work, resumes, everything. AND THE MOUSE PAD STILL DOESN'T WORK! I have left a million messages hoping they can make it right, recover some of what was lost, anything. Have not got a response yet. Oh and most places when they replace a hard drive will give you the old one to keep so A you know they aren't reselling it and/or keeping your data and B so if something like this happens they can still possibly recover what was lost. Obviously, this place did not do this. I recommend everyone stay clear of this garbage operation. read more
