We vetted several companies and decided to go with ASA Flooring for several reasons: 1) Responsiveness. Bryan was quick to get back to my inquiry and was at the house to assess the project within a day. 2) Knowledgeable. Our refrigerator had leaked and warped several boards. Bryan explained the pros and cons of board replacement vs letting the boards dry out. We went with the latter and saved money. We had another challenge in the fact that we did not have two rooms refinished which meant seamless color matching. Alfredo was an artist and had an eye for selecting the perfect match. Although the final decision was ours, his experience was a definite help. 3) Efficient. The whole process from start to finish only took three days. We used the opportunity for a little vacation in the mountains and came home to beautiful floors! 4) Professional. Kevin, the project manager, came the weekend before to assess the job site and answer any questions. Alberto hung plastic and taped off the areas to reduce dust and vacuumed any remaining dust before the final coat. It was nearly dust free! 5) Follow up: Kevin did the final walk through with us to make sure we were satisfied. I'd highly recommend ASA Flooring for your next hardwood floor project!

Finally getting around to this review.. 11 months later. Quote was not the issue, we ordered the…read morecarpet on sale and had the project scheduled a month later. When the subcontracted came they started the project and RAN OUT OF CARPET. 740 square feet short. It had to be specially ordered again from the carpet company that they use and that took 7 days to get delivered to their store. You would think that since they do the measurements and book a project that they would show up to the job with enough carpet to complete the job. The subcontractors had to communicate this with us. Wagner did not call and apologize for the delay or lack of knowledge. It took an additional week for them to come back and when they did come back they were supposed to come between 9-11am. They did not come until around 3:30 ish. I also was not told they were coming late I had to keep asking. After the carpet was installed they had left a huge mess for us to clean up. All of the leftover carpet fringes were all over the place. The LVP guys, pushed the excess material into the basement drain causing it to clog. Communication with everything was horrible. Before our carpet was installed we had brand new drywall installed and my husband worked very hard to paint the walls before the carpet was laid so we didn't have to paint after new carpet was installed. Unfortunately that was not the case. Our walls were severely damaged due to lack of responsibility with materials. I will attach pictures below. I was in tears over the damage that had been to the walls. I asked the guy what about all the damage in the walls he dabbed paint with a dirty textured hand towel on the wall trying to make it better I said no this is drywall damage. He said to call Wagner because it wasn't him. We called Wagner and told them we needed it fixed. My husband spoke to the "director of operations" and she was unable to authorize a discount of anything else until she spoke to someone higher, not sure who is higher than that but it took her days to come back. We had to fight tooth and nail to get slight compensation for everything we had to deal with. They called us and said their drywall repair guy was too busy so we could hire someone and send them the invoice and they would pay it. We had our drywall guy come back and get a new quote and we sent the quote to wagner. THEN they decided that their drywall guy had time all of the sudden. So now they wasted our drywall's guy time by coming and doing a quote. When their drywall guy came to fix the walls he fixed the dry wall and only wanted to paint small patches. My husband said no you need to paint the whole wall in order to not leave lines. He also did not paint all the way down the walls. He also got a ton of paint in the carpet by the trim area. It was very devastating and missed quite a bit of spots. He also left divots on the wall from his ladder. On top of that he brought his 2 unknown people to the house, I'm assuming his wife and kid but it was very unprofessional. It took him about 3 days to finish it all. This project was supposed to be about 3 days max and it took about a month when it was all said and done. When we put the trim in the bathroom the gap (where LVP meets wall) was larger than what you can reasonably cover with a piece of trim so they had to come back and fix that too. It was so exhausting. Update one year later, the carpet at the seams is bulging and fringing up. So long story short the carpet got installed but I would never hire Wagner again or prefer them to anyone. They keep texting me asking me for reviews and referrals and how I can get a 50 dollar Amazon gift card if someone does a project with them but NO THANK YOU!

Jonathan referred us to the flake makers so we could identify the right colors and combination that we wanted for our floors. My husband absolutely loved how it came out, and I love that they do all the right steps to protect your floor and offer a lifetime warranty (they use epoxy and polyaspartic). It was also very easy to schedule the work with their team, and they offer several payment options. The work will take 2 days FYI and is also weather dependent. It was pretty cold (but not snowing) when they did our garage. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants their garage floors treated!

As one of the other reviewers said, these guys use subcontractors of varying quality. They had to…read morerefinish the floor 3 times because the owner insisted on sending the same crew back each time (which makes sense if using a fixed-price sub - keeps their profit intact). I communicated my concerns professionally (and almost apologetically) with the owner as we went, but I'm not sure that any of them were addressed directly with the crew - rather they were just given basic instructions at the start of each day to fix the problems from the last go 'round. I'll give them credit for trying to make it right, and the floor looks a lot better than it did when they started, but it still wasn't 100% at the end and they didn't want to listen to any more complaints. A list of items specific issues that as far as I can tell were never communicated back to the crew: - The first thing the crew leader did was take a dump in my bathroom, without asking, and made this a daily ritual. - They didn't bother to cover anything up before sanding - no sheathing between rooms, no covers over the vents - so dust was everywhere in the house. At least I had the good sense to turn off the HVAC, but still had to change the air filters several times before they finished the job. - They sanded/buffed the carpet, trashing it where the carpet meets the hardwood. - Stain was applied in some places across grain / boards rather than same direction leading to stripes (1st attempt), and inconsistently leading to dark splotches (2nd attempt). - They used my ladder (from the garage) without asking. - They left gobs of topcoat around trim and puddling elsewhere. - They did not take the time to use filler properly after the second attempt - there are dark spots around nails, knots, and where sanding was rough. - Hand sanding was quite rough in several areas leading to dark stain, especially around trim, cabinets, toilet, etc. And they didn't thoroughly clean or screen before coating in several places, leading to dirt and debris in the finish. - Stain spatter was left on the wall from brush work and flinging wet towels. The sinks were a left an absolute mess. - There was no real cleanup to speak of and patches of grass are dead in the front yard where they cleaned stain off their tools and equipment. - The "suicide cord" they were using to connect to 240V was a fire and safety hazard. After attempting to share my last round of concerns (not asking for them to redo it again but rather just trying to share some of the issues for future improvement), Anthony told me to stop looking so closely and asked, "You gonna blast us on the internet?" indicating his level of concern. For a website that touts their high level of professionalism and reputation, the crew did not reflect it. If I wasn't a professional contractor myself, then this might have been a traumatic experience. And if I knew the crew and could have hired them directly, then I would have undoubtedly paid half as much... but then they might not have redone it 3 times (especially because I would have kicked them out after the second attempt). I never asked for a discount, and one was certainly never offered. I'm leaving 2 stars because on Yelp that means it "could've been better" but for the price I paid to go with the "pros" I regret not giving one of the other bidders a chance.
