I made a reservation online for a 5 x 15 storage for $108 with the first month free. When I showed up they told me that they do not have any of that size available. I'm guessing it's bait and switch because the employee immediately asked me what I was storing and started looking for other units. I left... My advice to all is to call the office directly because clearly they do not have the units listed on their website as specials. Rude staff and they stole from me. The lady behind the counter (Kristin) was extremely rude when I rented a 10' Uhaul. At the end she handed me the keys to the box truck of which there were at least 3 or 4 on the lot. I asked which one she gave the keys to and she said "I don't know, go find out". Secondly, they made me sign a contract saying that the tank is full and must be returned full. However, it was not full, but clearly missing some gas as the meter goes way past F. So they made me pay for gas that they should've paid for. Not a huge deal as that means they only effectively stole $5-10 in fuel from me. In any case, will not be using this place again - I think they'll be out of business within a couple years at this rate anyways. read more

Compass Self Storage advertises, with a large sign in front of the business FIRST MONTH FREE, which seems very standard these days, it's just a bait to get you in the door. Once in, you're told the storage unit you've selected is eligible for 1/2 off the first month. LIES! Besides that, Kristen, the person mainly at the front desk, is extremely rude, every interaction I've had with her has been filled with snarky remarks from her. She has no business working in customer service! I'd advise anyone looking into storing their belongings here to continue their search. read more

I found the ladies at Compass Self Storage to be very kind and helpful. They were polite to me, and I noticed that was their standard attitude to everyone that came in. I got a larger space, with a better deal, thanks to them. Also, the place is very clean, and totally non-scary, unlike a lot of other storage places. read more

I have enjoyed my stay at Compass. Moving and storage is a very stressful life event. It is just no fun. Kristen made it very easy for me and every time I go to my unit, she is extremely helpful and so nice to me. Kristen made the entire process easy for me from renting the box truck to renting the storage unit. She was a very dry sense of humor (she is seriously smart) and that might throw some people off. But really, she is great and very good at her job. read more

I was a long standing customer at this place before compass took over. Unfortunatley, I have had nothing but bad experiences with Compass. At least every two to three months they have hiked my rental unit rate. Which, I constantly had to speak with management for adjustments back to my contracted normal rate. Not to mention the late fees are radical. Even worst they are extremely quick to access your storage unit and take legal actions to place a lien on your items to sale in a public auction. Sooo, consumers beware this place does bad business unless your the type of person that would like to see your items on the next episode of storage wars. or are prepared to pay more for less, I'd suggest you find another place to store your belongings.. read more

I could not be more satisfied with this location. Since they did the renovation, it's super clean and inviting and things actually improved, which is not always the case with new owners. I like the fact that I can access my unit off hours and that there is much improved surveillance. The staff is great and always acknowledges you, which makes me feel welcome. A little tough to park sometimes but it all works out. read more

I am very disturbed ... I rented a 15' U haul truck from Compass Self Storage on 2-22-2018 at 10:10am. When I picked up the truck, the representative (Kristen) from the get go was lacking customer service skills in that, she was rude in her manner and tone of voice and continued to badger me with regard to the "self service check-in" via my telephone that I should use upon the return of the rental. I expressed to her that I did not want to do that, and she continued to stress that this was the only way to do check-in as U haul is going to start charging customers for manual check-in and do away with manual check in. I was astounded by this and her insistence that this was the way the return should be done. I was polite the whole time and was then handed my estimated contract. Kristen then gave me the keys, and I asked her politely where the truck was and she replied "The truck is on the side, look for the number". I located the truck myself, and feeling uneasy about things I decided to photograph the entire truck just as a precaution, plus I had to go back to the storage station to pick up the Appliance cart that I also rented (since it was not placed in the truck by Kristin prior to pick up). Also, to make matters even worse, when I returned the truck on 2-23-2018 at approximately 9:44 am, I told Kristin that I filled the gas tank a little more than 1/4 full, ( which was more gas in the tank than when I picked the truck up). I then politely asked for my receipt, and she stated that she could not give me one, that everything is done by computer and I would receive a final bill in an email.... all the while she is still insisting about the self check-in....which again I expressed that I did not want to do that on my phone, nor was it required by U haul to have or do self check-in on my cell phone! So, after getting home a little while later, I received the final bill via email and now I see that I am being charged $25.50 (EZ Fuel Sales Fee) and the "printed check in gas gauge" on the final bill shows that the truck was returned with 1/8 of a tank of gas (which is not true)!! Restating again that the truck had a 1/4 of a tank of gas when I picked up the truck, and was returned after I refilled the tank with just a little over 1/4 of a tank full). I then placed a call to Kristin at Compass due to this discrepancy, but my call was diverted to a Customer Service Rep named Veronica (because no one was available at Compass) who in turn stated she would have Kristin contact me with regard to this gas charge. Still no response .... I am extremely disturbed by these series of events, Moving is stressful enough, without adding insult to injury! I do hope to hear from someone to resolve this issue. read more
