A triumph! Everything was amazing from start to finish. Fantastic mix of traditional Mexican dishes (e.g. roasted chicken with mole sauce) and modern twists, like Mexican chili, which my son loved. Margaritas were on point, especially the spicy one with jalapeño-infused tequila. Service was attentive and friendly, and I love that they retained the historic charm of the former Moxie restaurant while lightening up the space a bit. We ordered takeout last night from Comomango. It was my first time, and I was curious about the new Mexican restaurant that replaced Moxie. The atmosphere is warm, festive, and really beautiful. We had several apps and a couple of burritos; everything was really good. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I look forward to eating at the restaurant soon. Finding good Mexican food in CT has been a challenge--I am happy to have Comomango. read more

Overpriced!! Food was okay but was expected to be better for the absurd pricing. Had an $18 specialty drink that was only about halfway full in a tiny glass with a big piece of ice. Maybe got 4 sips out of the drink. Service was good but there was nothing different in the ambiance from the old restaurant. Overall I don't mind paying too dollar for a great restaurant but this place was not worth the price. They would have to drop the prices significantly for me to go back. read more

The food is delicious, really Mexican and authentic And beautifully presented. The service was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very comfortable and attractive. It's only 4:30 on a Thursday, we decide to try out the newest restaurant in Madison, Connecticut. Upon entering the completely empty restaurant, the hostess brings us to a tiny banged up table next to the door and says, "You can stay here till 6 o'clock." I looked around as there was not a customer in the place, several tables and booths were open and I said, "Nope, we're leaving." Won't be back, will never try their food, and will wave as I drive by to another restaurant. I'm guessing they will not be around long. read more

The things we liked the most were the ambiance and the service--it's a great dining space and glad they didn't change much from when this used to be Moxie. Waitstaff is attentive and friendly. As for the food, I would say it's good--enough to come back when in the mood for Mexican. I actually think it's nice that they don't serve the usual greasy stuff (no chimichangas, enchiladas, quesadillas) and that they have more of a "fresh" Mexican thing going on with the menu. Chips are nice and salty, though I will echo what someone else wrote that the salsa container cannot be dipped in with the size of chips they serve which isn't the greatest. The prices and overall value is where we took issue with Comomango. We thought for $14 before tax and tip we should get more than two small tacos with the portion of meat provided. It's a bit unreasonable compared to other Mexican restaurants whose entrees are medium to large portions, and come with rice and beans. We didn't try the drinks because of the seemingly high prices as well. We want to like it and will be back to try other dishes, when we're in the mood to spend money and are craving Mexican. read more

Great people, the food is unremarkable. The menu theme is Mexican but there are no enchiladas, quesadillas, and only two burrito choices. The guacamole is good, the chips are house made and tasty. The salsa they serve is OK but it comes in a condiment cup smaller than the chips you are supposed to dip into it! Had the chorizo burrito, it was mostly rice and very little sausage(which was bland not spicy). The service is excellent, the wait and support staff are very friendly and even fun. The bar is a better place to eat than the dinning room for atmosphere. read more

Overpriced... Went here for the first time the other night. Upon looking at the drink menu cocktails were around $16 on average. Drinks tasted horrible - both my husband and I got margaritas and tasted like rubbing alcohol. Meal comes with chips & salsa which is nice (considering the price of the meal). Ordered 2 tacos ($13) and finished in 2 bites. Finished off with churros as we were still starving. Left with a $100 bill and still hungry. Don't get me wrong food was good but what you pay for it is not worth it at all. Customer service was good - however people next to us complaining as they waited over 45 mins for food to come out. read more

I used to go here a lot when it was Moxie (which I miss) but was excited to try it because I love Mexican food. The staff was very friendly and the service was good, as was the food. Having said that, I was disappointed to find the portions small, particularly given the prices. Two Mahi Mahi tacos are $16.00. The guacamole, which comes in a margarita glass with few chips, is $14.00. I found the drinks expensive as well. Being fair, I understand costs are high right now. The food is very reasonably priced and of great quality. They have a variety or drinks, the margaritas are very good. The churros tend to be a bit chewy in the middle but it may be just their thickness on that day. Their sauces are great too. In the future maybe they will add a quesadilla to the menu. A great sit down restaurant that is a bit more down to earth which is nice to see especially in Madison where things can be a bit to foo foo at times. read more

I am so happy to have another casual restaurant in town! I've only been one time so far, it has retained a lot of the Moxie atmosphere while also making it something new. Prices are reasonable and the food was good, but portions were definitely small and just ordering a dinner won't fill you. My wife had tacos for her dinner, two small tacos that looked like an appetizer and all the sides are extra. I guess they're going for the tapas idea, but I prefer ordering a meal not a bunch of little dishes that add up to expensive. I will definitely go back but next time I'll probably try apps at the bar rather than dinner. Service was excellent. read more
