Food was surprisingly very good. Service was great and the ambiance overlooking the marina was charming. We had mussels, Brussels sprouts, tuna over quinoa and fish and chips. Portions were generous and everything was cooked perfectly. Mussels were large and beautiful, fish was flaky and moist. There's definitely 5 star potential here. Reservation system was easy and worked well. Prices a bit aggressive but not shocking. A bottle of wine here is 3x actual retail cost for example. Wine and beer selections are limited. No IPAs is a questionable call in 2025. They had an APA that worked though. We will absolutely be back.

Excellent spot for a bite to eat. Whether it's a sandwich or an entree. Scenic seasonal restaurant at the marina with plenty of covered outdoor space and nicely decorated indoor space. We shared an appetizer special with fresh made hummus and delicious falafel balls, diver scallops with lobster risotto and mud pie. Service was great. Enjoy it before it closes for the season. Only reason why it's not 5 stars is my mojito lacked muddled mint

    Caprese salad

Beautiful restaurant with nice hostess and waitress however, the food is not great. The caprese salad was 16$ and it's barely a half of a tomato. It's lacking cheese and incredibly sloppy. My husband had a salmon sandwich which was very fishy and just so-so. We've given this place a try a few times now but unfortunately, it doesn't get better. Hoping they can take the off season to re group and figure out how to make positive changes. They should be doing much better than what they are.

Cute place on the marina in a scenic coastal town. The place has a great vibe. I arrived on a Thursday evening after meeting the manager at another place the day before. She told me they made their pasta in-house everyday. How could I pass that up? I ordered the "Cowabunga, Dude" margarita (pictured below) at the manager's recommendation. Jalapeño infused margarita with a Szechuan pepper and salt rim. It was good but I immediately took out the half slice of jalapeño because it was spicy enough for me when served. When the server came over to me to take my order, I asked about the fresh bread smell I encountered when I walked in. She told me that they made homemade foccacia. So I, of course, ordered some of that. She told me it might take a minute since the kitchen was cutting up a fresh batch. In addition I ordered a half-dozen oysters, a cup of their clam chowder and an appetizer size portion of their homemade fettuccine a la Carbonara. 30 minutes later.....the focaccia finally came on a cold plate which matched the temperature of the bread. Very disappointing. The Cape Cod oysters were good, although their mignonette could have used more shallots. It was also served with no fork which I found odd. Then my chowder and pasta showed up at the exact same time which was disappointing given that you don't want to leave that freshly made pasta sitting there while you're eating your soup. The chowder was good but nothing like the chowder I ate at Donahue's the day before (check out that place in Madison). The pasta left a lot to be desired. The texture of the pasta was good, but the sauce was dry and gummy. There was loads of pancetta and a good amount of cheese spread throughout which I believe attributed to the gumminess of the sauce. The dish was heavy and needed a fresh element. It was not what I had hoped for at all. The food service was subpar as well, with long wait times to receive your orders, ill-timed food, and long gaps between server visits after a shift change. I really wanted to love this place. They are a newer family-owned and operated venue just starting to get their legs under them in COVID times - so I give them a lot of credit for that. I overheard one of the waiters tell another table that it could get tough when employees called out because they were running lean as it was. If the shucker called out, then he would have to shuck. If the dishwasher called out, they'd have to call his mom in to help. I truly hope they can fix their issues and become one of the great local spots on the map. If I could I would have given them 3.5 stars instead of 3. But with the faults in service I just couldn't round up to 4.

There's a nice view of the water and a marina from the patio. But if you are looking for delicious food - go somewhere else to eat.

I've been several times since they opened and almost always get the salmon. What I love is that it's not always the same dish, it changes but always heavenly. The last time it had pumpernickel breadcrumbs yum! I had the faux foi gras(yay no tortured ducks) and it was not only beautiful but delicious. Then I recently tried the tofu appetizer which was equally delightful.. hope it stays on the menu a while, I love tofu done well. I've also had glazed carrots with hummus, trout, and brussel sprouts.. all top notch. Great wine selection and well made mixed drinks. Definitely my new favorite spot. You'll need a reservation for a table most days and get there early for bar seating.

The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and prompt without being over-present. The menu was rife with tasty options - we went with a salad special that incorporated grapefruit and a peanut Thai dressing, a Tavern burger, a mushroom bolognese, and the house special Kentucky butter cake - each was phenomenal. Our drinks were also prepared well. The surrealist artwork all around was a subtle touch in what at first appeared to simply be a neat and tidy dining spot, just with a little more imagination than it first appeared to have. A really outstanding spot - over an hour from my home, but we'll certainly be back. Highly recommended.

Other sides in the regular menu were more appealing. Overall, a good meal. One star deducted because the cost - particularly for sodas and side dishes - was excessive. Definitely worth trying.

I have struggled with whether to write this review because this has become one of our favorite…read morelocal restaurants over the last year. In fact, one of the reasons we kept coming back was because this was one of the very few local restaurants that I believed truly understood celiac disease and took gluten-free dining seriously. However, as someone with celiac disease, I feel a responsibility to share my experience because what I have encountered goes far beyond a one-time mistake. Several months ago, we ordered takeout and I tested three separate items that were represented as gluten-free: tacos, a wedge salad, and a pop tart dessert. Most was already naturally gluten free. All three tested positive for gluten. These tests are not cheap, costing approximately $12 each, so this was not something I did lightly. I contacted the restaurant and spoke directly with the head chef. She was professional, understanding, and seemed genuinely concerned. She thanked me for bringing it to her attention and even mentioned that she planned to order a test herself because she could not understand how those items would contain gluten. Because of that conversation, I chose not to leave a review. I genuinely believed the issue would be investigated and corrected, and I wanted to give the restaurant the opportunity to make things right. Unfortunately, a later visit resulted in a positive gluten test on the smoked fish appetizer. Most recently, I returned again and tested several items. The calamari tested negative, but my gluten-free tacos once again tested positive for gluten. At this point, I have simply been glutened one too many times by a restaurant that I genuinely wanted to trust. What makes this especially difficult is that this restaurant presents itself as understanding celiac disease. I was told that members of the restaurant's family, including a daughter, have celiac disease. Hearing that gave me confidence that gluten-free orders would be taken seriously and that proper precautions would be in place. That is what makes these repeated positive gluten tests so confusing and disappointing. When a restaurant claims to understand celiac disease, I expect more than simply offering gluten-free menu items. I expect systems that actually prevent gluten contamination. After multiple positive gluten tests across multiple visits and after bringing my concerns directly to management months ago, it is difficult for me to reconcile those claims with my actual experiences. During my most recent visit, the waitress was kind and helpful, and I appreciate the way she handled the situation. However, I was told that a manager would come speak with me, and no manager ever did. My tacos were removed because they tested positive for gluten, yet I was still charged for them after deciding to take them home (for my non celiac hubby) rather than have them thrown away. In the end, I received a discount, but only after spending nearly $50 on gluten tests during that visit alone. As I write this, I am sitting here sad, frustrated, and in pain, knowing exactly what the next couple of weeks are likely going to look like for me. People often do not see what happens after someone with celiac disease is exposed to gluten. We do not go into anaphylaxis in the restaurant. We go home and suffer through the consequences alone. The symptoms may not be immediately visible to others, but the physical toll is very real. Every restaurant can make a mistake. My concern is not a single mistake. My concern is a repeated pattern over multiple visits, over several months, after the issue was brought directly to the restaurant's attention. I truly wanted to continue supporting this restaurant. I truly wanted to be able to recommend it to others in the celiac community. Unfortunately, after repeated positive gluten tests, repeated gluten exposures, and no evidence that the underlying problem has been corrected, I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant to anyone with celiac disease or anyone who requires a truly gluten-free meal for medical reasons.
