    Chai pancakes and breakfast burrito
    Presley J.

I came to this place from a YouTube recommendation of the chai pancakes but they weren't anything special and barely had any flavor. I also tried the breakfast burrito and the consistency was like baby food and if it weren't for the hot sauce/ salsa it would not have any flavor. The service didn't seem to know what was going on they took our food to the wrong table and we didn't receive the cappuccino we ordered until well after our food arrived. The atmosphere was fine. A lot of people working on laptops etc.

Food was good, not super amazing but it was worth going. The coffee here at Portugal has been great and you can't go wrong anywhere you go. Service was nice and attentive, atmosphere was everything I hope a cute cafe would be.

Great coffee and food, I had an amazing turmeric latte and matcha pancakes. FYI the place does not take reservations and the kitchen does not open until 9am, however you can order coffee earlier.

3.5 Cute place, but average food for the price. Ordered the Bica burrito for €11. Was not very flavorful or very large. Not a place to go for a filling brunch, but could possibly be a good place to work. Cute interior.

Yes please!! Once we found this place, we came back 2 more times. I'm not a whole milk drinker and I was pretty done with little shots of espresso. I was so excited to find this restaurant! They had several milk alternatives and their lattes were so smooth and creamy, I was in heaven. We only had breakfast here, but everything was fantastic and Super fresh! I had the breakfast burrito - are you kidding me. The flavors were magical! My girlfriend tried the peanut butter, jelly, chia seed on toast and the following day had the chia seed pudding with fresh fruit. The chia seed pudding and my breakfast burrito were the favorites. You seriously cannot go wrong. It's a nice place to change up the cuisine or if you are craving something really natural and fresh. A nice change of pace from all cheese and fish we were having !

Great cafe to stop and get some lattes and snacks. We ordered the turmeric and beetroot lattes (with oat milk) and banana bread. Great stop for vegans!

AMAZING vegetarian- and vegan-friendly cafe. I got a chai latte and the matcha pancakes, both were excellent. The chai latte had anise on top, which was a different (and delicious) take. The matcha pancakes aren't very sweet; they had lots of interesting flavors working together and were very filling. My boyfriend got the breakfast bowl and loved it - all the components were so tasty that he didn't even notice it was vegetarian. Seriously, this place is so good that we went back a second time during our vacation (which I almost NEVER do). That time we grabbed another chai and a slice of banana bread, which was flavorful and moist. Service was great both times, and they have excellent WiFi. Definitely worth stopping in when you want interesting breakfast fare.

Really delicious coffee, and great atmosphere. Everyone is very polite and attentive. They have a great selection of organic, vegan cuisine. It's slightly more expensive than other cafes, but it's well worth it. It's just a great place to hang out and take in the scenery.

Everything in here was perfect from the food, to the atmosphere, to the ambiance, to the staff. I needed a place that was open early in the morning as my flight from Senegal arrived just before 6am. This place isn't necessarily near the airport but it's convention from the metro so there's no worries. I arrived shortly after opening at 7:30 and was greeted by a couple of friendly ladies who told me I could sit wherever I liked. The window seat was taken but all the places inside still give you a wonderful indoor/outdoor feel based on the open layout of the restaurant. This place is 100% vegetarian with numerous vegan options as well. The younger me would've been put off by this and missed out on an amazing breakfast. I don't really know why I settled on the matcha pancakes because matcha never really calls me (I don't get the hype) but something about this environment told me to go for it...the pancakes were amazing!!! I started my meal off with with their hot chocolate which is not your typical and my waitress warned me of that in advance. It's a very rich, deep cocoa flavor which was not very sweet but paired perfectly if you're having a sweeter breakfast anyway. Finally, as I had a bit of extra time before getting back to the airport, I decided to explore the cocktail menu...great decision! Crazy Sofia with her organic gin, apple, ginger, and mint leaves was perfectly refreshing. It was light yet potent. I'd come back her! And in general, if I'm back in Lisbon, I'll be back in this restaurant for sure.

I ordered the halloumi pancake, and was so pleased with how balanced the sweet, savory, and spicy flavors were. The pancake is fluffy and only slightly sweet, and the halloumi is baked into the top, hidden underneath the eggs. The bacon was thin and well cooked, but still chewy. And the avocado was nice and ripe! Others at our table ordered the eggs benedict, which was served on a super thick slice of brioche bread, the scrambled eggs, and the egg sandwich. All were super delicious. The sausage tray bake was "superb" according to my grandfather too! They are also very kind and accommodating here. Our party of 6 had two elderly grandparents, to whom the staff offered seats inside while we waited for a table. The wait was not long at all, and we were all seated within 10 minutes without a reservation.

The crust was super flaky and the tart was nice and warm out of the oven, but I didn't like the flavor of the custard. I did forget to add cinnamon to the top, but I don't think it would have helped me personally. The woman who stood next to me at the counter had a nearly orgasmic experience next to me, so it's obvious that my taste buds are apparently off. I loved the patience of the server, who got confused when I told her I wanted to eat in but wanted to take water to go. Note to self...Portuguese folks want to have their "to go" as "takeaway." What I also didn't know was that there was no place to sit!! I scooted down the counter just like all the other folks to watch the bakers prep the next gozillion pastries for the day. That was interesting. Then, I didn't know how to bus my dishes. I just left them on the counter like all the other folks and went away. I wouldn't skip going because of my personal taste buds, though. Enjoy it for yourself and let me know if you have a different opinion than I did!

I typically try to avoid overly touristy spots, but this time I had to rely on Yelp, TikTok, and Google to guide me. While the food scene overall didn't completely win me over, Seagull Method Café stood out in a big way -- this was hands-down the best meal I had in Lisbon. Located in a charming pink building on a quiet street, the café has a cozy, casual vibe. After a bit of a walk uphill, we were seated at a small table by an open window that overlooked the street. The interior is stylish yet relaxed, full of personality and the kind of place you could easily settle into for a slow brunch or an afternoon coffee. Service was on the slower side -- it took a while to get our check and there was a bit of waiting between ordering and receiving our food -- but our waitress was friendly and welcoming. She offered a couple of recommendations that we wouldn't have chosen on our own, and I'm so glad we trusted her. We shared two dishes between the two of us, one sweet and one savory, and it was more than enough. * The savory dish featured corn fritters served with an avocado tomatillo sauce. They were crispy, fresh, and absolutely bursting with flavor -- one of those dishes you think about long after the trip is over. * The sweet dish was their take on French toast: a crème brûlée-style toast with a caramelized top, fresh berries, and a luscious whipped cream or cream cheese topping. It was one of the best French toast preparations I've ever had -- perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. To drink, I ordered a chai latte (beautifully spiced and creamy) and a fresh orange juice that was so vibrant it tasted like it had just been squeezed. My sister had a house-made lemonade that was equally refreshing and flavorful. In total, we ordered six beverages and two full meals, and I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable the final bill was for the quality and quantity. Although Seagull Method Café doesn't seem to be featured on every "must-try" list, it absolutely should be. When we left, there was a line wrapped around the building, which tells me the locals are in on the secret. Our server also mentioned they have a sister restaurant called POMME Eatery, which we didn't have time to visit -- but based on this meal, I wouldn't hesitate to check it out next time. If this café were in Florida, I'd be a regular. For now, it remains one of my favorite hidden gems in Lisbon -- a place I'd go back to in a heartbeat.
