We made reservations for 3 (Tuesday 8:30). When we arrived, about half of the tables were filled, but by the time we were done with our meal, all tables were taken. The Florentin Benedict and the Breakfast Menu were both solid hits with my daughters. I unfortunately had the omelet which was not very good. An excellent brunch option if you're staying in the Alfalma area! Situated a few steps and staircase down from the Lisbon Cathedral, this is the ideal spot to fuel up before a full day of sightseeing. We got the Pulvo (Octopus) Benedict and the Earth Sea Sky Toast, both of which were delicious -- even as someone who's not typically a big brunch person, I licked my plate clean. The octopus benedict included a generous helping of tender, meaty tentacles with an accompanying tangy sauce on the side, while the Earth Sea Sky Toast featured a medley of ingredients including cream cheese on sourdough with pickled veggies, a poached egg, lox and avo spread for a tasty blend of textures and flavors. In addition to numerous coffee options, they also have a variety of freshly pressed juices-- we got the Raddish, which was a blend of carrot, beet and ginger, super refreshing! I also got the latte which was good but kinda wished I had sampled another fresh fruit juice instead. I've read numerous reviews about long waits but we arrived around 9am on a weekday with no line or wait whatsoever so I imagine the volume picks up on weekends and perhaps mid-day. My mom and I split the breakfast combo which included a hot coffee drink, a cold coffee drink, a mini açaí bowl, a savory breakfast item (avocado toast or a Benedict), and a dessert (we got a mini stack of the caramel pancakes). If you show much past 8:30/9 (as a guess) there will be a huge line. You will be sitting close to your fellow Breakfast Lovers as the restaurant is very small but have no fear, it is all part of the experience. Tips: Menus are electronic so make sure someone in your group has a working phone. They prefer cash and while they can take cards, just know, they will ask for cash first. One morning on our trip to Lisbon, Portugal, we decided to stop by breakfast lovers for our morning meal. We surprisingly found it to be one of the BEST places we ate at on the trip! The omelette was the favorite for our group, but we also tried the benny benedict and a few other meals. Other than the food being absolutely incredible, the service was outstanding and we really felt connected to our waitress! They also provide free wifi, and 5 euro bag drop off for any travelers that want to be hands-free while exploring the town. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very warm and inviting, and had a very old fashioned feel to it. Adorable little cafe that, true to its name, serves up some of the best breakfast and brunch food in Lisbon. I happened across Breakfast Lovers when I was wandering about Lisbon and happened to be feeling a bit peckish just as I saw a super crowded little cafe. Curious what all the hype was about, I popped my head into Breakfast Lovers, and immediately saw why -- the restaurant was absolutely gorgeous, with cute pastel wallpaper and vintage china dotting the walls. The elegant white marble tables were delicately decorated with flowers and candles, and the entire shop just felt so cozy and cute, almost like I was paying a visit to my grandmother. As I looked around, the plates looked equally cute and even more delicious; Breakfast Lovers has a wide selection of benedicts, toasts, smoothie bowls, and pastries, all of which are plated up in the most gorgeous way possible. Their portions are also quite large, so I would recommend getting a couple of things to share. My mom and I ended up splitting a mini acai bowl, latte, and one of their signature toasts. The acai bowl was beautiful, with a variety of fruits (including banana, apple, honeydew, grapes, and mixed berries), and I loved the extra crunch I got from the granola and coconut flakes. It was a little bit watery and a bit lacking in acai, but the fruit was fresh and the presentation lovely. The latte also had some of the most beautiful latte art, and I was grateful that Breakfast Lovers had oat milk (one of the few shops in Lisbon that offer non-dairy milks). The true star of the show was our third item, the earth, sea, and sky toast. It includes two thick, hearty slices of bread topped with smoked salmon, cream cheese, avocado mash, pickled onions, tomato, and a perfectly poached egg. It was such a delightful combo of textures and flavors; the cream cheese and pickled onions offered a great tanginess that helped to cut through the richness of the smoked salmon and avocado mash, and the crusty bread was the perfect base to carry all of these soft, mushy ingredients and sop up the leftover yolk that ran out from the poached egg. The tomato and occasional sprigs of lettuce offered a great hit of freshness to balance out how rich and heavy the overall dish is...truly, if you're hoping for a toast that captures all the classic elements, Breakfast Lovers has you covered. read more

We were a party of five wanting to pay two separate checks. We were told after the bill arrived that they do not take international credit cards despite being in a high tourist area with many international customers. We had the cash, but given the fees to exchange and the pain to get cash, it was what made a great experience bad. Let customers know before you seat them you only take cash or local card. This was my first meal in Lisbon and it was a STRONG start. The restaurant is tucked way a bit below street level, but not hard to find if you're looking for it. It's very charming inside but I chose to sit outside since it was a nice day, and there was plenty of seating available when I got there (sounds like there's usually a wait though). The menu has really great options but I went straight to the octopus eggs benedict without hesitation. It was absolutely delicious, the octopus tender and seasoned to perfection.
