I absolutely enjoyed my visit to Fauna & Flora. My friends and I stumbled across this spot while searching for a place to eat before the check-in time for our Airbnb. We came at sort of an odd hour (~2pm) and didn't have any trouble being seated. This place is beautifully decorated with fresh plants, and in the warmer months the doors are open to let in a nice breeze. The price for entrees was reasonable and with generous portions. All ingredients were fresh, and plating was so creative. The service wasn't the best, but the ambiance almost makes up for it.

I am not lying or speaking out of turn when I say this restaurant has the best Pancakes in the world! Now that I got that out of my system, I can say without a doubt, I am sort of a pancake connoisseur if you will. I have had American pancakes in the US (countless breakfast establishments), In Mexico, in Canada, in Spain, in Portugal (other restaurants), Japan, and none of them compared to the genius creations that this fine establishment bestowed upon us those mornings. Yes, there were multiple mornings during our stay in Portugal that we rushed here for Breakfast/Brunch. After trying those marvelous passion fruit reduction with coconut cream topping pancakes I came back 3 times to have them again and again! Servers are friendly and attentive, very busy breakfast/brunch spot but it is definitely worth ALL of the hype. I think many American brunch spots could take a few tips from this place. The avocado toasts (there are many flavor combos to choose from) are amazing. Had the one with shredded beef, I forgot the exact name on the menu but very delicious. Also the one topped with a mound of Arugula, as well as the Salmon Lox style one.The pancakes with bacon and an egg on top were also quite delicious. You cannot go wrong with any of their breakfast options even their açaí fruit bowl was one of the best I've had! Smoothies and fresh juices are also top notch. Just over all Breaky/Brunch-lovers' Dream! I was here back in April of 2021, the reason it took me so long to post this review is because at that point Yelp was not very big in Europe and this restaurant was not posted as a business on Yelp as of that time. This should signify how passionate I am about this place!

Food was so great. The basil mayo on the bagel was such a wonderful touch it made it so delicious. The pancakes were so yummy. Perfect balance of peanut butter and chocolate. BEST cappuccino I had in Lisboa. Service was so helpful and kind. It's such a cute restaurant inside with plants and pastries all around. I definitely recommend!

(Traveler tips below!) 1. Wait at the door to be seated 2. You pay by the bar, they don't come to your table 3. This place gets really packed so during peak times you can't study or work from this coffee shop. (I recommend going to Dual for that -- only a 6 minute walk) Breakfast at Fauna & Flora is a MUST if you're in Bairro Alto. From the tropical flavored pancakes (I personally recommend the Tropicalia and the Matcha green) to the salty dishes -- everything comes out quickly and tastes incredible The only miss for me was the coffee. Maybe I'm not familiar with coffee ordering here but the caramel latte tasted like oat milk with caramel sauce and when I asked for it iced, it had 2 little ice cubes that quickly watered down my drink Other than that, this place is aesthetic af for your pictures

Cute ambience, really eye catching spot filled with beautiful plants However left this place feeling like it was overhyped. Maybe we didn't order the right things? The juice felt watered down - recommend going for a smoothie instead. The iberico egg Benedict- glad they didn't over cook the egg but the flavors leaned on sweet over savory. Nice to try once but won't be back again.

Decent brunch spot. They were able to accommodate 8 people so that's great. The actual brunch was fine (probably more of a 3 for me) but the vibes are cute. I got one of the avocado toasts with mushrooms and there was very little flavor. The pancakes were better than the savory dishes. The affogado was great!

one of the first places we tried while in Lisbon! Overall fresh food & delicious! I had the Ninho de Salmão & tried simple pancakes. My friend had the matcha pancakes which she enjoyed! Overall a cute place to visit if you're ever in the area!

I stopped by since the place is filled with plants and has a cute ambiance. The food, however, was just okay. I had a caramel latte which was milk and caramel so I would not recommend. The banana and oats simple pancake tasted a little dry with the berries. Perhaps a syrup should come with it.

My friend and I were recommended this restaurant by TikTok before going to Portugal this past summer & we were not disappointed! The vibe is green and full of plant life! It was aesthetically pleasing for all your foodstagram and selfie needs. The pancakes were fluffy and the drinks hit just right before a nice stroll through Portugal.

One of the highlights of my trip- this amazing brunch spot!! So good I went TWICE on a trip, and that says a lot. The price is very reasonable and way better than American brunch prices. You could get a brunch item and juice for around $15 more or less. It's super aesthetic with all the plants, and it's a great spot to dine in whether it's indoor or outdoor. The Iberica Toast was chef's kiss. I switched out the bread for sweet potato and it's a solid choice. Crispy prosciutto, caramelized onion, brie cheese....I mean!!!! Their Salmon Nest is a fun one too. I really miss going to this brunch spot and would recommend anyone visiting Lisbon. The service was super friendly as well.

I came here solo during the day while I waited for my friends. It was crowded on Thursday around early afternoon and I sat immediately because I was only one. I would make reservations if you have a group! I loved that this restaurant had healthy fresh options. I ordered a few things. I got the avocado toast with mushroom with the eggs scrambled. I like that they give you the option to change the egg because I do not like runny egg. I got a turmeric ginger latte and a shot of espresso. The prices were very reasonable and the staff were friendly. Definitely a great instagrammable hot spot!

Wow. This place is worth every effort in going. It's definitely always packed, but we were quickly seated. It's a bit of an incline if you sit outside, so just be wary of that. But food is so good and creative here. The fruit pancakes we had were thick and sweet, and the salmon nest was a really interesting dish that featured a lot of avocado. And the sangrias are amazing. Super affordable place. Highly recommend if you're in Lisbon!

As soon as we arrived they greeted us very nice! The food was very delicious. I very thing well made and beautiful presentation. I must say if you order smoothies they are not cold or frozen, it's more like a room temperature. Comes in a relatively small glass cup and them I realized they put two big pieces of ice. The taste of the food made up for this, but I wouldn't order smoothies again. That's why I'm reviewing a 4 start. Also we waited 20 plus minutes to get someone to come to the table.

The service was super fast and friendly. The pastel de nata came out perfectly, with that delicate flaky crust and warm custard that just hits differently when you know it was made moments ago. The espresso was equally impressive, rich and smooth, and the two together make for a simple but near perfect combination. The crust was super flaky and the tart was nice and warm out of the oven, but I didn't like the flavor of the custard. I did forget to add cinnamon to the top, but I don't think it would have helped me personally. The woman who stood next to me at the counter had a nearly orgasmic experience next to me, so it's obvious that my taste buds are apparently off. I loved the patience of the server, who got confused when I told her I wanted to eat in but wanted to take water to go. Note to self...Portuguese folks want to have their "to go" as "takeaway." What I also didn't know was that there was no place to sit!! I scooted down the counter just like all the other folks to watch the bakers prep the next gozillion pastries for the day. That was interesting. Then, I didn't know how to bus my dishes. I just left them on the counter like all the other folks and went away. I wouldn't skip going because of my personal taste buds, though. Enjoy it for yourself and let me know if you have a different opinion than I did!

From the moment we were seated, Cristina took her time in welcoming us and explaining every item on the menu. We got extremely lucky in beating the dinner rush and submitting our orders in. The subsequent groups who came in were simply turned away or quoted at least an hr wait. Even with full house, our foods came in a reasonable time. With her recommendation, we went with seafood bake for 2 and BBQ pork in 4 diff cuts (we wanted to try a little bit of everything). The seafood bake was beyond amazing - there were literally 4 diff types of WHOLE fish (cod, salmon, bass?, can't tell the last one), along with dozen of fresh shrimp with shells still on and clams! The pot felt bottomless with seafood. It took us literally an hr just to power through this dish. The seafood bake's sauce was so yummy that my husband started throwing in his side potato to soak up the flavor. Towards the end, he straight up spooned and drank it. The bbq pork was so juicy and flavorful! My husband really enjoyed the bacon cut - fatty yet crispy. The side salad was so refreshing with its light, house made dressing. Honestly, we couldn't be any happier with our dinner! Too bad we were so stuffed that we didn't get to try their desserts. What an incredible meal! Amazing food and heartwarming service - Cristina even took the time to come by our table to check and chat with us during dinner rush - we couldn't ask for more. Price was a steal especially for how much food we got - around 50 Euros. Would definitely return if we ever revisit Lisbon!

We were peeking at the menu outside when the owner, Christina, ushered us in and assured us she'd prepare something to our liking. She did not disappoint. We each started with a drink; my colleague had a beer and I had a red wine. We shared a cheese appetizer and olive appetizer. The cheese was very...fragrant?...but seriously delicious and creamy. It was served with a side of honey which we both drizzled on our bread with each (admittedly three total for each of us) serving. For our mains, we had fish. I had the salmon, served with stewed vegetables and salad. He had the cod entree. We were both initiated into the clean-plate club, with very little left for rinsing. For dessert we tried the carob mousse (my favorite!) and the chocolate cake (delicious, but the mousse takes the cake -- no pun intended). The waiter, Antonio, was an absolute gem, and treated us to a digestif following our dessert. Having already had two glasses of wine, I should have passed on the digestif, but when in Lisbon, you do as Antonio tells you. I had the most fantastic evening with Christina and her crew, and upon future visits to Lisbon I will make it a must to visit again.
