Just go and get a simple croissant. They make them fresh daily. So flakey and buttery. Delicious. The quiche was good too but the croissant blew it away. Cute and kitschy decor too!

I thought this was a nice relaxing place for a lunch or coffee break. Located just up the street from Terreiro do Paço Station and the Harbor area, it is to be found in a row of shops with vintage storefronts. The interior is cozy with highly appropriate time-period decor. The service was very good and the use of English was no problem. They offered several tempting baked goods, but I exercised willpower. My lunch consisted of a ham and cheese sandwich, a coffee and a sparkling water for €5.20. This was $5.75 USD with the exchange rate at the time. It was an excellent bargain. The only negative was that they were out of croissants, so I had to choose dark bread. But my sandwich was good nonetheless. If you are in the area and need a small bite, a sweet treat or just a coffee, this place is a good choice.

Amazing little place to get absolutely delicious and we'll priced food. You'll definitely get value here and you'll eat delicious food. Everything we ordered was good. We had sandwiches- Iberian ham and a grilled ham and cheese- and pastries- a raisin round and a cheesecake (the cheesecake is not like US cheesecake- it's not heavy, it's like gelatin and heavy cream with fruit on top- delicious!), and croissants and quiche. Everything came to around 18 euro! So delicious and such a value and really nice staff. They speak excellent English. I'm so glad I stopped here.

Plenty of seating, beautiful decor great food and coffe :)

A fantastic coffee shop that's opens at 8am :) The decor is very trendy. Food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Coffee was good and they do a smashed avo on toast :) Plenty of seating and can cater for larger groups. Speak English (bonus) Free WiFi (double bonus)

This was a random pick and I am very glad we got lucky! Also, note this place is cash only. We ordered 2 lunch sets which was 12 euros each and it was absolutely amazing! When our plates came out the people seated at the tables next to us were gazing and had a "I should have ordered that" look on their face. The restaurant is very cozy and doesn't seat more than 20 in tables and a small bar for roughly 4 seats. If you can get there early, that would be best as it fills up very quickly. Lunch menu starts at 12 but we arrived 10 minutes early and was able to order. The food was fresh and plentiful, I was definitely full but took a croissant to-go. From other people's orders their croissants are popular items as well as yogurt which comes in a rustic jar. I'd definitely recommend visiting here and may even stop by again on our short trip!

1.6 euros for 2 sliced oranges. 2.1 euros for tomato and mozzarella quiche.

For travellers and expats alike craving good ol' North American brunch, check out this place for a taste of home. They have the quintessential millennial breakfast of avocado toast, if that doesn't tickle your fancy, try out one of their croissants. Yogurt parfait is served by the jar and coffee can be made American style if you're craving a cup of joe larger that isn't a shot of espresso or a latte. They also have desserts served all day round. I tried the cheesecake, which is much lighter than your traditional New York slice, it also had the texture of low fat cream cheese so I wasn't completely sold on it. However, the overall ambience made a visit to this place worthwhile.

My croissant with lox was good. My husband liked his eggs. However my latte was a bit disappointing. It comes in a glass and both taste and foam didn't do it for me. Place is cute. It has overhead fans and bunch of tables. It's table service. Our waitress/barista was very nice. It took some time to get the food.

Great hip café with a good selection of coffee, tea, and espresso drinks along with food. We went for our last breakfast during a short stay in Lisbon and although not typical Portuguese it is always cool to see what's new! We had a good ham and cheese sandwich (misto) and avocado with scrambled eggs toast. The cappuccino Fábrica was cute with a more sweet cocoa take. The atmosphere is very eclectic, loved seeing the old food tins in Portuguese (of course there was one for bacalhau)! The place filled up pretty fast after we were seated around 9:30am in a Monday morning in January so probably pretty crowded on busy days. Also has WiFi if you need it!

Extremely good croissants and a fine menu at moderate prices. We had a good breakfast for 10€ for both of us. Cozy place and almost empty at 9 AM on a weekday.

This is a delightful hole-in-the-wall cafe with really cheap tasty food and espresso. The space is really cute and intimate and when we came at 1 pm not very crowded at all. The croissants are the most buttery I've ever had ... we ordered the extra large croissant sandwich and the ham and cheese, both were excellent. Service was timely and friendly. You can get a nice latte here for under €2 which we definitely took advantage of!!

The croissants taste like Paris! We came for breakfast and I was blown away by the smell of fresh croissants. My husband and I enjoyed coffee and he ordered the avocado toast with scrambled eggs- he really enjoyed his dish. To me it pales in comparison to their fresh warm croissant- heaven. Crispy and flaky on the outside. Soft and gooey on the inside. I could have one every morning.

Very cute small cafe with a fairly good selection of brunch food. The service is very friendly. And the atmosphere is unique, charming with antique scales and tvs displayed every. Good option. Expect to wait though because there are only about a dozen 2-person tables. It's on your way to Sao Jorge.

Really loved fábrica Lisboa. Mrs and I went to two different locations and both of them were really good. We came here for breakfast before a trip to sintra and ended up coming back for breakfast the next day as well. The hot chocolate was to. Die. For. I really enjoyed how thick and rich the flavors were but not over bearing chocolately. We got a salmon croissant one day and a ham and cheese one the next day, both made fresh with a nice flaky croissant. Ingredients were fresh and staff were really friendly. There seems to be a lot of tourist who frequent this fábrica as well as some locals, so stop by before doing some exploring. You won't regret it.

Best croissants in town! I love how they mount a bell by their front door and ring it to announce their opening.

What makes it special is watching the pastries being handmade right in front of you, which adds a level of freshness and craftsmanship that you can actually taste. The service was super fast and friendly. The pastel de nata came out perfectly, with that delicate flaky crust and warm custard that just hits differently when you know it was made moments ago. The espresso was equally impressive, rich and smooth, and the two together make for a simple but near perfect combination. If you are in the area, this is an easy and very satisfying stop.

The crust was super flaky and the tart was nice and warm out of the oven, but I didn't like the flavor of the custard. I did forget to add cinnamon to the top, but I don't think it would have helped me personally. The woman who stood next to me at the counter had a nearly orgasmic experience next to me, so it's obvious that my taste buds are apparently off. I loved the patience of the server, who got confused when I told her I wanted to eat in but wanted to take water to go. Note to self...Portuguese folks want to have their "to go" as "takeaway." What I also didn't know was that there was no place to sit!! I scooted down the counter just like all the other folks to watch the bakers prep the next gozillion pastries for the day. That was interesting. Then, I didn't know how to bus my dishes. I just left them on the counter like all the other folks and went away. I wouldn't skip going because of my personal taste buds, though. Enjoy it for yourself and let me know if you have a different opinion than I did!
