This cafe is in the breezeway across from where we stayed in Alfama. I must admit... I was having a really hard time finding a latte the way I liked it in Portugal - Quase nailed it. Everyone was so nice, incredibly friendly, and the service was fast. The atmosphere inside is so cozy - like you all are gathering in someone's dining room for breakfast. I enjoyed that. There is a small seating area outside in the alley/breezeway and people will bring their dogs and sit outside and have a coffee. My husband got the ham and cheese croissant most mornings and really enjoyed it. The staff there speaks multiple languages across the bunch which is incredibly impressive. A very cute cafe with good food! There is plenty of seating, both inside and outside. The inside is clean. The servers were very nice. This restaurant has a great selection of food from toasts to pancakes and açaí bowls. They have European style coffee and American favorites (pumpkin spice latte anyone?). this place was AMAZING. Really great value for what you pay. I can't remember the exact name of what we got but it was meant to be shared amongst two people and it was the perfect amount! We stumbled upon this brunch place on our way to the Castle de Jorge at around 10am. They were just about to get busy. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait at all for a table! The place is the definition of a cute small shop! The bathroom may even be smaller than some bathrooms in NYC restaurants. The menu is divided into individual items or you can get a brunch combo, which we ended up doing. The brunch combo came with a glass of fresh made juice of the day and a cup of caffeine. We both opted for the lattes. I got the Hakuna Mattata, which came with eggs over spinach and cured meat on a toast with Hollandaise sauce and a side of pancakes with slices of fruits. My friend got the brunchatta, which came with scrambled eggs with Portuguese sausage and potatoes, side of fruits and 4 toasts with melted cheese on top. One of the best meals I had in Lisboa, and that is saying something. It was worth the 30 min wait outside, which wasn't an issue in any case since this was in one of those appealing and classic cobbled narrow alleys of lisboa. I had the trilogy of toasts, and each one of them deserves a mention. Lox (salmon) toast was perfect, goat cheese and caramelized onions was even better, and the avocado+tomato one a simple yet delicious treat. A green juice full of ginger and other goodies went down well with the meal, the ginger great for the jetlag queasiness that's been getting to me. Acai bowl was on the sweeter side, more like a dessert, but this is something I noticed to be a common aspect of acai bowls in the city. read more

This place is great for a Sunday Brunch, but for some reason the posted hours on Yelp day it's closed on Sunday. Don't believe the hype! The avocado toast and poached eggs were great, and the bacon and fried eggs are served on mini pancakes. It was unique and quite delicious! Cozy with great service in the Alfama! read more

I stumbled into this Super cute cafe below the balcony terrace views of the water. It's very welcoming and decorated in vintage style but fresh and not crusty. The owner is apparently also a designer and it shows. I ordered a crepe and cafe with Nata which is a thick creme. Served on a paper doily on handmade painted plates and beautiful saucers. Games and books are around as well as alternative seating. A great place to chill and meet up with your travel mates. Crepe varieties you'd expect and want like Ham and cheese, Nutella and banana, along with a veggie one. I'm sending my daughter here later when she visits. read more

Quase Cafe is such a cute little hole in the wall. A small cafe that feels very cozy. A lot of food for a great price! They have a bunch of pre-fix meals that include juice and coffee and then some food. It's great to be in Alfama, it was very quiet on a Friday morning. What a great hidden gem in Alfama! It's so good that we came twice during our week in Lisbon! The first time we came we got the Breakfast to Share and it was delicious. Everything was so fresh and flavorful! The second time I got the Salty Breakfast and my husband got the Hakuna Matata. If possible, both were even better than the first! We had to wait in line to be seated the first time, but didn't mind at all because the women working were super accommodating and on top of everything!
