this place was AMAZING. Really great value for what you pay. I can't remember the exact name of what we got but it was meant to be shared amongst two people and it was the perfect amount! Remember it being around 30 euros. To this day I think I had the best brunch I could have ever had here. Pro tip, get the juice of the day if can! It's really fresh and tastes good. Oh what I would do to be able to eat here again for the first time

Kiddie breakfast (yogurt usually comes with granola). Strawberry banana smoothie included, but not pictured. €9

Delicious breakfast and friendly service. They easily accommodated my son's coconut and sesame allergies. Tasty toasts and egg dishes. Will be back!

We stumbled upon this brunch place on our way to the Castle de Jorge at around 10am. They were just about to get busy. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait at all for a table! The place is the definition of a cute small shop! The bathroom may even be smaller than some bathrooms in NYC restaurants. The menu is divided into individual items or you can get a brunch combo, which we ended up doing. The brunch combo came with a glass of fresh made juice of the day and a cup of caffeine. We both opted for the lattes. I got the Hakuna Mattata, which came with eggs over spinach and cured meat on a toast with Hollandaise sauce and a side of pancakes with slices of fruits. My friend got the brunchatta, which came with scrambled eggs with Portuguese sausage and potatoes, side of fruits and 4 toasts with melted cheese on top. We were both very satisfied and felt ready to walk our 20,000 steps for the day!

A hole in a wall restaurant in the busy touristy part of the town. 100% recommended. Fast service despite how busy it was. The ambience felt inviting. The food was absolutely fantastic. The portion sizes were great for the pricing. We went with 6 of us and all of us agreed it was among the best breakfast we ever had.

Restaurant is in a non-descript residential alley but we're glad we found it. They serve more western style breakfast and the service is friendly. The dishes are prepared fresh and taste delicious. It's a small restaurant so it fills up fast and you may have to wait during peak morning hours.

Beautiful little wide spot along a narrow alley in the historic district. Service was kind and energetic. Day juice was fresh and flavorful. Had to order 2 coffees because as an American, I drink by volume. Avocado toast was excellent, as were the croissants.

Great place to grab breakfast! Everything was delicious and came out fast, staff were very friendly, and the neighbourhood the restaurant is located in is really cute.

Excellent service, friendly staff . Beautiful food presentation. Juices of all kinds. Healthy breakfast and brunch options. Cute setting. Just write your name on a board by the door, wait to be seated and enjoy!

We absolutely loved this place! Our server, Silvia, was amazing. We went two days in a row it was so good. Delicious and reasonably priced :) Definitely go if you're near the Alfama area.

Wow! Just wow! This place is awesome. Hidden in Belém. We were six and had a wonderful breakfast. Twice. The "Pancake" and "Special" were fantastic. We hardly had enough space at our table to put all the brunch on. The owners are super friendly and fun. So be sure to visit Quase Café when you are in the neighborhood (or even make a little trip just to have breakfast here). Thank you for having us, Johanna & Rachel!

This place is great for a Sunday Brunch, but for some reason the posted hours on Yelp day it's closed on Sunday. Don't believe the hype! The avocado toast and poached eggs were great, and the bacon and fried eggs are served on mini pancakes. It was unique and quite delicious! Cozy with great service in the Alfama!

Super nice staff. Quaint little cafe for a little breakfast. The food was good, nothing special but a solid meal that wasn't too expensive.

What makes it special is watching the pastries being handmade right in front of you, which adds a level of freshness and craftsmanship that you can actually taste. The service was super fast and friendly. The pastel de nata came out perfectly, with that delicate flaky crust and warm custard that just hits differently when you know it was made moments ago. The espresso was equally impressive, rich and smooth, and the two together make for a simple but near perfect combination. If you are in the area, this is an easy and very satisfying stop.

The crust was super flaky and the tart was nice and warm out of the oven, but I didn't like the flavor of the custard. I did forget to add cinnamon to the top, but I don't think it would have helped me personally. The woman who stood next to me at the counter had a nearly orgasmic experience next to me, so it's obvious that my taste buds are apparently off. I loved the patience of the server, who got confused when I told her I wanted to eat in but wanted to take water to go. Note to self...Portuguese folks want to have their "to go" as "takeaway." What I also didn't know was that there was no place to sit!! I scooted down the counter just like all the other folks to watch the bakers prep the next gozillion pastries for the day. That was interesting. Then, I didn't know how to bus my dishes. I just left them on the counter like all the other folks and went away. I wouldn't skip going because of my personal taste buds, though. Enjoy it for yourself and let me know if you have a different opinion than I did!
