    Steak sandwich
    Adam S.

Wow! Their new location inside the terminal building is awesome. They have a full bar, coffee, breakfast and lunch things. I was starving and ordered their steak sandwich made to order! The streak was probably more done than I'd like, but it was way more tender than I expected for a to go sandwich. 10/10 crew plus new lunch options

Got couple of coffees here while we were waiting to board the Seattle ferry. The staff were friendly and polite and the coffees tasted great. They have some sandwiches too. A small local place to get a quick cup of coffee while waiting for the ferry.

We got to the ferry a little early and had time to grab a warm drink before we drove on to the ferry. The nice barista was very friendly and helped us with our choices. I decided on the London Fog. She gave me options on the drink and chatted with us while she prepared them. All 4 drinks were great and just the right temperature. Great place to grab a warm drink while you wait for the ferry.

brioche breakfast sandwich w/ caramel coffee

Tasty breakfast sandwich, nice cup of coffee. I got something with caramel, I don't remember exactly, but I liked it. I'm not super picky with coffee but still, this place seemed pretty solid. Nice brioche bun. If I wanted breakfast before catching the ferry and knew I had time for it, I'd definitely consider giving this place another visit.

Commuter Comforts' location, while key to their success, interferes with the recognition they deserve. Truth of the matter is they serve commuters and they serve us well. But, most of the time we are in a rush or otherwise occupied by getting to our destination. So, our gratitude is often a quick thank you and we are often well on our way before we realize how could the beverage or snack we just got really is. For example, their relatively new Anjou breakfast sandwich. Holy Cow! This is the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had and you simply won't find it anywhere else. They obviously worked hard to create a unique taste treat. Simple enough, it's bacon, egg, cheese, bread and a mildly spicy sauce. Wow! I haven't had a chance to research the details. But, I will follow up soon with more details. In the mean time, if you like a little kick with your morning coffee, give this a try! Many other reviewers have commented on the exceptional quality of their coffee. I think it's also worthy to note that they open at 4:00 am on week days and always seem to be in good spirits! They really do deserve our gratitude and maybe a little awe!

Great working staff are always polite and friendly, despite less than average poor ownership.

Avoid the beetroot latte. Probably shouldn't drink anything called a superfood latte. Tastes like a bad chai.

Definitely a hopping place at the end of the workday. It's got a darker ambiance and it's cozy. It has indoor, outdoor, and patio seating, though we chose to stay indoor. Pro tip - the poofs make you sit REALLY low. The food choices around 1pm were dismal, and limited. Maybe they'd sold out, or maybe they just don't have a lot there, but nothing even looked fresh enough to warrant purchase. The other thing that killed me was the service. There was one person on the entire 4 hours I was there, and it made for an incredibly slow experience. It was friendly enough, if not a little dismissive. Prices are reasonable and there is paid parking across the street, but take that with a "for Seattle" caveat.

The vibe of this place and the people that make it happen every morning are world class. Life situations kept me from making my way to the shop for a year or so, but when I walked in I was greeted with a smile and a "it's been a while!" The coffee is reasonably priced and imo - best in the area. It's consistent and while I'm a sucker for the 12oz cold brew - I've gone off script a few times and have always been pleased. I've got family that comes into town fairly often, and almost every morning they ask to go because they think about it when they're at home in Chicago. There's plenty of seating, tho it's sometimes so bumping (because it's a great spot!) it can be hit or miss if you can stick around and enjoy the vibe. But generally I've had good luck over the years setting up at a table and chatting with friends & fam before a hike, enjoying the morning with my pup doing some socialization training or throwing a few emails around to my corporate overlords. I've seen ads for their evening events and have been wanting to make it to one, but I always seem to see the poster days or weeks after the event! Poetry nights in a space like boon boona seem like an unbeatable vibe, hope to notice & get to one soon. *Parking is also not hard to find at all. There's a free garage down the street at the transit center that is never full, and tons of street parking*

They had a sign up the first day that advertised a rose honey latte special, and I love all of that, so I ordered it large and iced. It was amazing. I like my lattes with flavor, but I also want to be able to take the coffee and get a balance. If my coffee doesn't taste like coffee, it's too sweet. I could taste all the elements here and it's clear they use good, high-quality ingredients. They even topped it with rose petals! One day I strayed and ordered one of their specialty mochas, which I am generally hesitant to order because they're often way too sweet. I saw they use Holy Kakow syrup and know that's pretty good stuff. The mocha was really good, but also over $9 for a large before tip. That's my main complaint about this is that it's expensive. That being said, it's Vashon Island and most everything is super expensive. My large, iced latte is under $8 before tip and that feels more justifiable. This is overall a really cool place to check out with some cool history. The tea selection is absolutely amazing, though I'm too much of a coffee person to try it.

When you walk in, you're immediately hit with the smell of the roasted coffee beans, and you can see them roasting the beans from inside the shop. So cool! They have a wall of teas, a case of baked goods, and so much more that I probably even missed some things, like checking out the bookstore. I was feeling a bit worn from my travels so I decided on a Golden Mylk instead of opting for coffee. The Golden Mylk was a perfect blend of spices and creaminess. Very cozy, warm, and the perfect drink for a cloudy day. I also tried the Vashon Fog which was delicious. Not too sweet, and you could taste the tea over the milk, it didn't taste watered down. You have to check them out if you visit Vashon island!

Same size cup, which is very odd to be charging If someone's looking at their receipt and asking questions, it's gonna slow the line down and probably add stress for the cashier as well as possible negative energy Just sharing the data points I think they should streamline this. I like that they don't want to waste, but at least almost everybody even who's drinking inside has plastic so it's a little confusing. If you ask for a glass of water, they will charge you a dollar but if you get it in glass and drink while you're on site, there is no charge Again, I appreciate that they are trying to reduce plastic for the to go water, but doesn't make any sense to me because I'm seeing plastic drinks inside the restaurant Also, I asked if I got a ice latte if it came in a bigger cup because otherwise you're getting less of a latte. A lot of places give you a bigger cup for 12 ounce latte since they're adding an ice but they don't do that here. Mocha was not hot. Coffee was so so. Barista was great. Cashier a bit annoyed with the questions. But I can understand her position especially as line begins.
