    Steak sandwich
    Adam S.

Wow! Their new location inside the terminal building is awesome. They have a full bar, coffee, breakfast and lunch things. I was starving and ordered their steak sandwich made to order! The streak was probably more done than I'd like, but it was way more tender than I expected for a to go sandwich. 10/10 crew plus new lunch options

Got couple of coffees here while we were waiting to board the Seattle ferry. The staff were friendly and polite and the coffees tasted great. They have some sandwiches too. A small local place to get a quick cup of coffee while waiting for the ferry.

We got to the ferry a little early and had time to grab a warm drink before we drove on to the ferry. The nice barista was very friendly and helped us with our choices. I decided on the London Fog. She gave me options on the drink and chatted with us while she prepared them. All 4 drinks were great and just the right temperature. Great place to grab a warm drink while you wait for the ferry.

brioche breakfast sandwich w/ caramel coffee

Tasty breakfast sandwich, nice cup of coffee. I got something with caramel, I don't remember exactly, but I liked it. I'm not super picky with coffee but still, this place seemed pretty solid. Nice brioche bun. If I wanted breakfast before catching the ferry and knew I had time for it, I'd definitely consider giving this place another visit.

Commuter Comforts' location, while key to their success, interferes with the recognition they deserve. Truth of the matter is they serve commuters and they serve us well. But, most of the time we are in a rush or otherwise occupied by getting to our destination. So, our gratitude is often a quick thank you and we are often well on our way before we realize how could the beverage or snack we just got really is. For example, their relatively new Anjou breakfast sandwich. Holy Cow! This is the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had and you simply won't find it anywhere else. They obviously worked hard to create a unique taste treat. Simple enough, it's bacon, egg, cheese, bread and a mildly spicy sauce. Wow! I haven't had a chance to research the details. But, I will follow up soon with more details. In the mean time, if you like a little kick with your morning coffee, give this a try! Many other reviewers have commented on the exceptional quality of their coffee. I think it's also worthy to note that they open at 4:00 am on week days and always seem to be in good spirits! They really do deserve our gratitude and maybe a little awe!

Best breakfast sandwich on the island / maybe the best in Seattle! The egg bacon and cheese on their delicious roll is my absolute favorite.

Great working staff are always polite and friendly, despite less than average poor ownership.

Avoid the beetroot latte. Probably shouldn't drink anything called a superfood latte. Tastes like a bad chai.

Overpriced! The matcha and chai drinks taste watered down and without flavor. Quite disappointing for a $6 drink.

It's clear this was the case for others as well, as there was a large line extending outside the door onto the sidewalk when we arrived around 10:00 a.m. I ordered their multigrain toast with jam along with a savory croissant. The toast comes heavily buttered and the savory croissant for the day was topped with the fillings you'd fine in a spanakopita -- i.e. spinach and feta. I really loved the thickness of the toast slice and the degree that they toasted it: soft and fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. They did not hold back from including a bunch of seeds in the bread, and that added a nice texture in every bite. The jam is on the sweeter side, but I like that it's on the side so you can control exactly how much sweetness you want to add. The savory croissant had good flakiness to it, but it would have been nice if we had an option to have it toasted. Overall, very good bakery that I'd gladly visit again if I'm back on Bainbridge Island. Definitely get the toast.

We just recently came for a smash burger and the very delicious spicy Southern fried chicken sandwich and their stand-out fries. A couple of old-fashioneds went with this perfectly. The drinks were perfectly strong. We used to come for their burger night and get a chick-pea burger that was so savory and tasty. I didn't see it on a recent visit, but perhaps it will rotate in. This place is awesome! The ambiance is cozy but still booming and the staff always handles it like pros. I had a PHENOMENAL espresso martini that was so damn smooth and exactly what my day needed! ;) The star of the show? THE KING CRAB EGGS BENEDICT Oh my GAWD. Where has this bit of heaven been all my life? The eggs perfectly poached little pillows, rich hollandaise, and huge pieces of king crab that make this dish a GAME CHANGER IMO. I'm eccentric I know but trust me. Try it. Safe to say my update was long overdue, as Cafe Hitchcock has officially earned its permanent spot for me when visiting Bainbridge! 5 stars!
