I have rented a number of storage rooms from Davidson Road Self Storage, and can't say enough good…read morethings about this business and the individuals who own it. Not only are the storage areas safe and secure, the room prices are fair and include a free lock. Further, the owners are caring individuals who are responsive to their customers' needs and go out of their way to be of assistance. As a senior, this is most appreciated, and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone needing a storage room. My only regret is that I can't give them a 10.

Lock Solid is a great option for climate-controlled storage in the Butler area. It's about a 5…read moreminute drive from where we live, so it's incredibly convenient. The facility is armed with hand trucks, furniture dollies, and more to help make your move-in/out convenient and easy. Doug was incredibly friendly and accommodating. He was available and willing to walk us around to show us the different units available; we ended up selecting a 10x10 that fit all of our things perfectly. Conveniently, Lock Solid is an approved drop-off for U-Haul, so we drove our truck from Texas to here and hired some movers to unload the truck into the unit and just left it there. It literally does not get easier than that. And now, I have the peace of mind knowing my things are insured ($10/month) and won't get damaged from heat or humidity. The access hours are totally reasonable for whenever you need to add/remove. Greg helped us open our unit the first time when we needed help sliding the bolt open - he threw some WD-40 and opened it up with some pliers effortlessly. We pay roughly $160 a month to store our whole life in there and it's a fair price to know our things are safe and sound and accessible basically any time. Thanks, Doug!

On the day of the move he sent his partner, Isiah out to meet me and introduce me to the two guys that would be moving me. All were very professional and friendly. They even stopped with the furniture so I could dust underneath it before taking it in to my new condo. They took great care of my belongings, wrapping it as needed, bagging the mattress and box springs, and cushioning some antique furniture I have. On arrival to my new place, they set up the bed, hooked up the washer and dryer and placed everything exactly where I wanted it. I am a picky person and I was quite pleased with all aspects of what could be a nightmare experience. This was a dream! You could not ask for a better company!!! Pittsburgh does not have many mover choices and these people seemed legitimate. However the price they quoted me was only half of the amount they wound up charging me after ruining both of my Tempur-pedic mattresses, trashing my couch because they said they ripped it and so it wasn't worth delivering... According to them... And then totaling the rest of my furniture. Long story short I paid $11,000 for a move that was supposed to cost under $4000 and none of my furniture made it in usable condition. With that we removed carpets, padding we did a small remodel in the kitchen which added up to some construction materials piled into our garage. I called these folks and discussed pricing and specific details on how much we had for disposal. They told me that when their crew arrived, they would look over what we had and discuss final pricing at that time. Once that was done we had the option of canceling the service or asking them to go ahead and proceed. We had one carpet that was about 16 ft by 30 + ft, they tore it into smaller sections so that it would fit more flatly in the truck. We had three bedrooms worth of carpeting, a hallway and the living room as well. They rolled it up nicely and fit it in the truck making best use of the space. After doing that, they loaded the remodeling debris and some packing boxes etc and did this all within an hour. Their pricing was reasonable. The two guys that were here were nice polite and efficient. I would definitely hire them again as needed.
