Here's a five-star review based on your experiences with Fifthroom.com: --- I recently purchased two large Ramada kits in Eastern Hemlock hardwood with a mahogany stain from Fifthroom.com, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience! The quality of the lumber is outstanding--each 8 x 8 post has a substantial, timber-like feel that truly elevates our outdoor space. Delivery was a bit challenging since it required a semi-truck, and we initially faced issues due to the lack of a forklift. However, the CEO, Tim, went above and beyond to help us navigate the logistics, especially since our project was in Montana and the company is based in Pennsylvania. For kits of this size I think it is recommended to hire people with Carpenter experience to install. I don't think this is reasonably done by homeowners who don't have a lot of Carpenter experience. It's important to note that all site work must be completed before the kits can be installed. For us, that meant extensive concrete work to ensure a level foundation, including sauna tubes going below the frost line for the post footings. As with any large construction project, we encountered a minor hiccup when the supplier mistakenly provided only one order of the metal needed for the roof instead of two. However, once we identified the error, Tim and his team, particularly Mike, who is incredibly knowledgeable, worked diligently to correct the issue and ensure we had everything we needed to finish our project on time. What sets Fifthroom apart is their commitment to customer service. They truly work with you to resolve any issues that arise, making the process much smoother. The materials were first-rate, and the quality of the people you work with is even higher. For all these reasons, I wholeheartedly give Fifthroom a five-star review! Actually phoned up and got the manager late in the afternoon on the East coast (we are in NV) and he took my order quickly. Ordered a 12' bridge with low railings and post for my back yard garden. Pressure treated and unstained as the cost was too much for me. Decided to put on the UV / clear water based protectant myself. Kit was relatively easy to assemble and the instructions were good (though a beginner might have trouble with the spacing of the posts relative to the railing as this was not directly specified). However, I was missing 7 planks on the bridge and notified the service department - they sent the planks promptly on Fed Ex and was able to finish the bridge a few days later. Happy with the quality, response when the company made a mistake, and the overall look of the bridge. Good value for the money, as I didn't have to design and cut and pre-drill all the holes myself. Had professional lighting and landscaping around it so it's a wonderful addition to our backyard. Would recommend these guys again. read more

I had a terrible experience with this company. They gave me a leadtime of 3 to 4 weeks after drawing approval with a 250 engineering fee. Its been 5 months and I still don't have my product. They also have my deposit of $9000 not including the engineering fee. Every time I email them they say its shipping next week. We ordered this in February. It's now June. My suggestion, look for someone else. read more

Recently purchased a 6 post Ramada Pavilion. Their sales representative informed us the only additional items needed to be purchased would be concrete and a masonry drill bit, and all lumbar would be hand picked and stored out of the weather. Wrong. So wrong. Missing items: brackets to secure roofing, nails and screws for brackets, corner bracing straps, roofing nails, staples for roofing paper, additional screw bits because bits do wear out after several hundred screws. Substandard lumber: warped, cracked, moldy. Incredibly poor customer service with none-to-few follow ups. And worst of all - wrong and out-of-date installation instructions. I repeat, wrong and out-of-date. So many unnecessary trips to the store, so much time wasted, and money unexpectedly spent, and still no response from anyone - even after sending an inquiry e-mail - one week ago. purchased doors for an arbor that I purchased from them. Paid $699. Received them and they are too big. They were supposed to come with hinges and ready to mount. They did not. They also weigh more then the arbor. I have not been able to get any response from their customer service or manufacturing people. Basically I got screwed. Strongly suggest you find another place to buy your outdoor needs. I was going to buy other products but would no way consider ever doing business with them ever again. read more

I have never been more impressed by a company standing by it's product and providing outstanding customer service. Wally was great in helping me design the gazebo I wanted and answered all my questions. The shipping was amazing, I waited to use their shipping instead of a common trucking company, and was blown away. They had a tracking system that allowed me to go to the link and see the exact location of the truck from coast to coast. Then when it arrived the driver and his wife were friendly and dropped the pallet off exactly where I needed it. NOW the REAL reason I am writing this review. There was an issue where the roofing material and caps did not match in color and I was shorted some screws. I called the customer service line and they were very apologetic, turns out the roofing shingles and ridge caps came from two different factories from the supplier. The owner personally apologized and they covered 100% of the cost for my contractor to replace the roof. I was blown away at how they simply stepped up with no questions asked and fixed it. [Excerpt from an email to the owner] I just wanted to take a moment to heap huge amounts of praise on the effort expended by your team at Fifthroom. After suffering two deaths in our immediate family in December and January, and dealing with an upcoming memorial on January 25th which was to be held at our house, we were reeling and trying to get our lives back on track. Our daughter's wedding was coming up on February 8th and we hadn't purchased her gift yet. I had been searching halfheartedly for a cedar chest for a few weeks, but couldn't find anything I wanted. On the evening of January 15th I went online and ordered a Jumbo Waterfall Cherry Chest- CU9733 from your company. It was exactly what we had been looking for. After placing my order I saw on my receipt that it takes 6-8 weeks for the chest to be completed. I panicked! There was no way I was going to be able to find another chest like this in time (I had looked). We live in California and our daughter is in Arkansas (where the wedding will be held). This was not good. The following day I called your company and spoke with this amazing woman named Cindy. I explained our situation (with a few tears I must admit...it had been a hard 40 days or so) and she immediately told me "Let me see what I can do." She was going to see if there was one already made which could be shipped immediately. She called me back within 15 or 20 minutes and told me the bad news; that there wasn't one available. However, she had spoken with the craftsman who would be making the chest, and explained our situation to him, and he vowed to get it done in time no matter what it took. He said if he had to work on it on his own time, he would make the deadline. She told me that it would have to ship out no later than Jan. 31st to make it to Arkansas in time for the wedding. I crossed my fingers, sent up a lot of prayers, and waited. On Tuesday (the 28th) I received an email telling me that Fed Ex had picked it up! 3 days ahead of schedule!!! Crafted and completed in less than 2 weeks!!!! Then I got call today from Cindy to tell me that the chest was already in town awaiting delivery to my mother's house. I am nothing short of amazed and so incredibly grateful. You will never know how much this means to me. We have experienced so much pain and grief in the last 2 months, and we really needed a win right now. Please let me know if there is somewhere (a website or even if I have to send a letter in the mail) where I can post a review for you. This kind of customer service is almost non-existent and people need to know that there are still people out there who do business the old fashioned way--with integrity and commitment to excellence.
