The staff is lovely, and it's fantastic that you can pick your own slab, so there's no question of what you're actually going to receive. There was a measurement issue at install, and Lisa made sure that it was taken care of - and did so quickly. Install team was great, as was sales and customer service. We have bought counter tops twice at Troy Granite. There is a beautiful showroom to let you see just how beautiful their granite is installed. We had visited another place the first time and it was on the side of a road and very primitive! The gorgeous room settings Troy has shows just how gorgeous your kitchen or bath will look with their stone. There are so many to choose from also! We renovated our 1978 kitchen and everyone was amazing from the salesman in the showroom to the guy that measured and the installers were amazing also! So when we decided to build we said Troy Granite had to be where we purchase the granite again! Levent was the salesman and he made sure we got exactly what we needed. Then Marcello came out to measure...he was so detail oriented! What a wonderful representative of the company! Because it was new construction we were not certain of a good installation date and had to change the date several times. Troy Granite was super nice to us and worked with us to get it installed. Both of the installers were very knowledgeable and so nice to us! We are repeat customers and we always recommend Troy Granite! read more

Having shopped for granite and stone across greater Pittsburgh, I like Troy best. In addition to a very broad selection of stones to see, their staff provides lots of helpful information about stones, finishes, installation details, and other options. We experienced a couple of mix-ups with installation scheduling, but Troy was very attentive to us and made it right. Beware! Nice people and large stock but serious issues with respect to both competence and full disclosure. We made quite a number of trips there and picked two slabs of granite for kitchen. We met with their designer, who was excellent, and worked through how they would cut them. All was fine. Then we got an email, "we broke one of the slabs!" We thought, ok things happen. Multiple more trips to pick alternative slabs, work through how to cut them and were set. Monday, our existing countertops were torn out for planned installation of the granite Wednesday. On Tuesday, we get another email from Troy, "we broke the slab AGAIN." Rather than being focused on trying to make things right, the manager was more focused on selling us other granite. We did not find anything we liked. With our kitchen torn up, we decided we had to start over with a new supplier. Within two minutes in the new supplier's, we discovered that what Troy was selling us as granite is not granite at all but was a soft quartzite, which would not be as durable as granite. They never told us that. That was it for us with Troy Granite. We then found Choice Granite, which is smaller but where we found a new granite that we liked much better than anything we saw at Troy. They were very accommodating in using a cancellation to do our installation in a short time frame. They did a great job and we love the result. read more

I purchased a darker countertop. They were installed without an issue. Once I went to clean the countertops off after installation I noticed that there were three filled cracks with dark filler as if to hide without the customer knowing. Because my other countertops had already been removed, my kitchen torn apart, I was stuck. I was so excited I did not clean the countertops off during installation and catch that they were cracked. It only makes me wonder how that would've been handled if I would've chose white granite. A crack in white granite could not have been hidden. I was very disappointed to spend nearly $4000 on countertops not being told that there was an issue or given the option to decline. It is my own fault. Very expensive lesson learned for someone super excited to have my kitchen completed. read more

I went into Troy Granite looking for granite or marble to put around a fireplace in an old house we had bought to match the style of the other fireplaces. The gentleman I spoke with took me outside to look at their remnant granite, as I didn't need a large piece, and we decided on a style. He then sat me down at his desk and asked the address of the property. I figured he was writing a sales slip as part of the estimate. He starts talking about the house that we had bought and then says, "Oh, I see you just bought it in September. Wow it's big." I'm thinking how does he know that? Well he was NOT putting something into his computer system. What he was doing was searching the house on Zillow and taking note of the sales price! He finally gave me an estimate of $8000 FOR SOME REMNANT GRANITE TO GO AROUND A FIREPLACE. I got the hell out of there and called my husband to tell him what a slime ball the guy there was. Will definitely never return. read more

Huge selection of slabs to choose from. Have worked with them on two projects and they are very professional. The scheduling is fast to come out and do their laser template and then the install was only a week later. The kitchen is large so there had to be one seam and they lined it up so well you can't even see it unless you know where to look. You do have to negotiate a little on price, as the first price they give you is not their best offer. But as long as you do your homework and know what a competitive price is elsewhere I would choose these guys every day if you can make the price work. read more

From start to finish, Troy Granite's work was outstanding. The estimator who visited my home was courteous and helpful, the showroom staff were accommodating and knowledgeable about the work and materials, but where the company really shined was its installation. My project manager very quickly understood my level of home repair experience and made several suggestions that saved me quite a bit of trouble and money in my overall kitchen renovation. This is not a company that looks for the unknowing customer to take money from -- this is one that welcomes those who ask the hard questions and know the exact value of the work. On installation day, the company sent a professional with fourteen years of experience and his apprentice to do my installation. I've read multiple articles on how to install an undermount sink on granite, and I had a good idea what constitutes a quality job. The installer who put in mine worked using specialized tools and techniques that guaranteed an installation whose strength and precise positioning I could never accomplish by myself. The last time I saw this level of consistent quality, expertise, and pride in working with stone was in Europe, by families who had done it for generations. I never expected to find that sort of thing in Pittsburgh, but here it is, proudly serving this community. Troy Granite has earned my trust, respect, and gratitude. read more

They are professional and their installation is perfect. They have a good selection of slabs to choose from and their prices are reasonable. read more

Had granite counter tops installed and the job went well. Pleased with installation. They tell you they guarantee their work for one year. When we called to have a repair man come out to fill in some small imperfections not noticed at installation, they sucked. They promised a repair man in morning. I visited their showman and viewed their granite. The show room was nice, and they had a large selection of granite. I decided to go with Monte Carlo and placed an order. The measurer came and was very nice and appeared to do a good job. I selected my slab via the internet and set an install date. Things got very bad from that point on. The installers arrived, and one introduced himself to me. Unfortunately, his name was the only English he spoke, the other spoke none. There were several issues during the install. I could not communicate with them and that was a problem. They tried asking me questions by pointing and gesturing. During the install I noticed the backsplash at the end had a half-inch gap from the wall. I tried to ask about it and again they gestured, and I could not understand. I called the office and was assured the installers spoke English, but besides his name I did not hear a single English word. After I complained about not being able to communicate with the installers she said she would send someone who is "100% American" if I wanted. The office had someone who spoke their language call me and then the installers, and the problem were eventually figured out. They completed the job and left, leaving behind all the job debris on the floor. I wish that was the only issue. The big problem was the quality of the granite. After letting the granite dry overnight I took a close look the next day. It had what appeared to be caulking on the granite. I called Troy to ask how to remove and was told to remove with a razor blade. It was then I realized it was embedded in the granite. There is also a section that is severely discolored and looks like paint was spilled on it and smeared into the finish. It does not look like the granite I selected and has flaws that were not apparent to me, but Troy had to see when finishing the cutting. I called to complain, and someone was sent out to look at it. He pretended to look closely, but did not see a thing, and said it was perfect. He said my salesperson would call me but he never did. I think a blind person would see what a terrible job it was. I asked Troy to replace and was told I was trying to get something for nothing. I only want what I paid for. I believe it should be replaced, but Troy did not care what it looked like. I am going to have to find a reputable dealer and replace it, it is not suitable for use. My advice is to avoid Troy Granite at all cost. read more

Nice product, but gave us an outrageous price. Once we checked out prices in other places and realized that it was not in line with others in the industry, we called them back. They cut their price in half to be competitive. But I don't like companies that take advantage of naive customers, so I won't go back. read more

We had Troy Granite install the granite in the our kitchen and it came out amazing! They were great and took out our old counter tops, templated and installed our new granite ones within a few days. They put down cloths and covered all of our appliances so they would not damage anything. Overall great job and look forward to using them again on our next project. read more

While this store has a very large selection of granite, the customer service is very poor. I picked out and purchases a remnant piece of granite for a counter with simple measurements and a hole to be drilled. This was planned out on paper by the salesperson and I paid for it. When I went to pick it up, the salesperson grabbed my paper work and asked me to come to the other side of the showroom while out of the corner of my eye I saw two other people carrying my piece of granite out to my truck. I asked them to wait for me to inspect it and they reluctantly refused but brought it back inside where I found the specs were off. The counter was too short and the hole was in the wrong place. They rudely began talking to each other in another language and not talking to me. I asked to see the spec sheet and they refused to let me see it. I ended up taking the granite simply because I knew I would never get my money back at this rate. All I can do is to not recommend this company to anyone based on my experience and now my complete distrust of the entire staff. It is one thing to admit your mistake and deal with it as opposed to trying to sneak the granite out of the store without me seeing it until I got home. Completely untrustworthy in my opinion!! read more
