Jason and his team are nothing short of miracle workers. I basically handed him a 100-year-old, leaky, poorly renovated bathroom the size of a closet and asked him to make it feel like I was staying at a 5-star hotel. I wasn't sure how the rebuild should be done, but I had a few ideas. Jason was an excellent sounding board. I laid out my top priorities and how I thought they could be handled. He was easy to collaborate with, and whenever we hit practical limits to my vision, he was honest, clear, and quick to propose workable alternatives. His team showed up when they said they would and cleaned up every day, which made a big difference while living in the house during the job. They were also accommodating and able to work around four other projects I was managing in the house at the same time. The project did run a little longer than expected, but it was a negligible trade-off for the result: a bathroom that genuinely feels like something out of a magazine. What started as a plan to gain a bit of space and fix aging plumbing ended in something much better. I actually love taking showers again. Jason and his team delivered, big time. Only thing left now is saving enough to get him to do the rest of my house.

Building Buddies remodels bathrooms, kitchens, and other rooms. Building Buddies remodeled one of my full bathrooms in 2024 (see my previous review for details) and another full bathroom and a half bathroom in 2025. Building Buddies has a Facebook page, so through Facebook Messenger, I contacted the owner Jason to ask for estimates. He soon came to my house to view the proposed work, and he promptly emailed me estimates. Jason himself performed the remodeling of my bathrooms. He communicated about when he would arrive each day, and I thought that his work looked like a high quality. My attached photos show some of his work--tiled floors and installed bathtub, cabinets, toilets, faucets, and light fixture. (A different business installed the countertops and sinks, and I must still finish the painting and a few mirrors.) I have not yet used the bathtub, but overall my husband and I feel happy with our new bathrooms, and we will definitely consider hiring Building Buddies in the future to remodel our other bathroom, kitchen, and basement.

I recently had my master bathroom refinished by Building Buddies, and I can honestly say the experience exceeded every expectation. The craftsmanship was nothing short of excellent-truly brilliant work with attention to detail that shows in every corner. What really stood out to me was the reliability and professionalism. Jason was always there exactly when he said he would be, which is rare these days, and never once dodged a call or text. Every question I had was answered quickly and thoroughly, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Another thing worth mentioning is the quality of the materials and suppliers he works with-absolutely top-notch. You can tell he takes pride not only in his own work but, in every aspect of the project from start to finish. It's not often you come across someone this dedicated, skilled and dependable. I truly can't say enough good things about jason and his crew. If you're considering a bathroom renovation, do yourself a favor and go with Building Buddies-you won't be disappointed.

We couldn't be happier with the work that Jason and his team did in completely remodeling both our first and second floor bathrooms! Both bathrooms were too small and next to bedrooms with some extra space. Building Buddies came in and literally tore down a wall in each bathroom, then rebuilt the walls to allow for creating two spa-like bathrooms. Jason's idea to raise the height of the ceiling in one of the rooms was a game changer. We feel like we're taking a bath at the Four Seasons! On every front, Jason exceeded expectations: Creative solutions to challenges (he fixed a leak coming from the roof so he could continue working), great communication (we weren't in town while he was working, but he didn't miss a beat), more than reasonable pricing, and an outstanding final product. We wouldn't want anyone else to do this kind of work on our home! Building Buddies built a lifelong customer!

    Kitchen remodel

Jason and his team did a great job on our kitchen remodel. He did a really great job offering advice when we didn't know what to do and was very flexible with the stuff we really wanted. His crew were all very friendly and turned our kitchen into a space we can hardly believe is ours. I would highly recommend Building buddies for your next project!!

    Floor, shower and new paint

Jason and his crew were amazing! They tore out my old shower, flooring and basement ceiling from a water leak. The new shower and flooring are beautiful and the replaced ceiling looks as if nothing happened. The work was completed in a timely manner and he communicated throughout the process.

Don't mind my mess in the corner.

I LOVE my kitchen! We even added on a few things as the remodel was happening and it turned out perfectly. I have twice the amount of space and everything is gorgeous.

They did a fantastic job at a reasonable price remolding are master bathroom.. Jason was great to deal with and always kept in prompt communication.

Hired Building Buddies for a tub to shower conversion. I did my research and was pleased with all of the five star reviews. When I met with Jason I made sure to tell him how important it was that this job get done swiftly as I only have one bathroom. I was assured on multiple occasions that it was a 3 to 4 day job. The job started on a Wednesday and was not completed by Friday so I had to wait until the following Monday for them to continue. So this was five days without a working shower. Five days turned into 14 days and the job was still not close to complete due to excuses like weather and broken materials that had to be re-ordered (I never saw photos or evidence. I believe materials didn't get ordered at all creating more delays. 2/3 of the project was paid up front so not ordering all materials prior to the start is unacceptable). I tried to be as patient as I could. I understand that things happen in projects. But there was also no communication. I asked several times for a promised date of completion and received vague "a couple days" answers. There were days where I would wait until 10 AM to ask if anyone was coming that day just to be told different reasons for why no one was going to show up. And work was only being completed for 3 to 4 hours a day when there was someone here. I can forgive a lot with good communication and a little hustle on the back end, but there was absolutely no urgency to complete this project. No apologies. No promises to get it done by a specific day. So on day 14 after paying for 2/3 of the project, I put an end to the relationship. The quality of work that was done was acceptable. I believe his worker, Jack, was going everything he could but was under the direction of a boss who simply didn't care about my project or me. I'm incredibly disappointed and have a bathroom and a house that is in shambles as I struggle to now get this done on my own. The picture is what was accomplished after 14 days for a 3-4 day job. After my bad experience I searched further and found that he used to go under JRL Remodeling which has nothing but one star reviews on Houzz and Yelp many for the same reasons I state here. I guess after a certain number of bad reviews he just changes the name of the company and starts over. As for business saying I never paid, I am happy to share images of cashed checks. Why make an outlandish lie that can easily be proved false? All tools were returned. But if you're going to lie and say I didn't pay, why not lie about everything. Buyer beware, please.

Jason did a great job replacing an old fiberglass shower with a new steel tub and tile surround.

I wish I could give them negative stars, they earned it…read more ProSource KNOWINGLY sold me a stone tile/backsplash product that MUST be cut wet. However, it contains a water soluble glue which makes this impossible as the stone falls off the mesh backing when it gets wet. I was NOT made aware of this when I purchased it and Prosource denied knowing the issue even existed until 2 months in on a phone call with Ed the showroom manager, who was dumb enough to admit they knew it was an issue. I spent countless hours calling and emailing both the manufacturer, Topcu, and ProSource attempting to learn a way to be able to install the product as my wife and I both really like it. I even purchased 3 additional new diamond blades in a vain attempt to cut it, because "this has never happened before". Then what I was told, and I still cannot believe they were stupid enough to suggest this, was to remove each individual stone from the backing, cut it wet, then glue it back on. After a ridiculous amount of back and forth the final answer the manufacturer said to do would cost more than the product itself did, take countless hours of work, be nearly impossible to do correctly and completely make the product un returnable. For an alleged high end product that cost over $300 per box. ProSource refused to take back the product except under unreasonable circumstances, only taking back non cut and non broken sheets, a 25% restocking fee AND my paying the freight back to the manufacturer in Georgia. The manufacturers rep admitted to me on multiple occasions that the situation was ridiculous but still I could not get an acceptable resolution from them either. I guess they expected me to lay down and take the abuse. Not this guy. I fought and I won...just like I told them I would. Now I get to warn you. Who is dumb enough to use a water soluble glue on a product that must be cut wet? Topcu. Who is both dumb enough to sell that product to consumers without telling them? Dave at ProSource Monroeville. Who is dumb enough to insist this has never happened before? Todd at ProSource Monroeville and Brian at Topcu. Who is dumb enough to admit this does happen and I was lied to repeatedly for over 2 months? Ed at Prosource Monroeville. Who was smart enough to give me my money back? PNC. You would be better off buying your supplies at a flea market. But if you want to buy this crap they sold me check the usual spots where people sell stuff, I will be listing it for sale there until someone buys it, which I expect will be a very long time.
