The project, quoted as a 7-10 day job, began late and stretched to 45 days. This was due to the contractor's consistent failure to appear for work and a complete lack of proactive communication. We were forced to constantly contact them for status updates. On November 17, our township issued a "Stop Work" order because Roycroft failed to secure the necessary building permit, a clear breach of our contract. They initially blamed a subcontractor and delayed the project for another nine days until a permit was approved. The subsequently revised contract completion date of December 3 was also missed. Following this, the deck failed its inspection on December 9 due to faulty workmanship. Roycroft missed the scheduled repair date and then unprofessionally demanded final payment before the work had passed a re-inspection. After the deck finally passed inspection on December 15, Roycroft again demanded immediate payment and instructed me to retrieve the final permit paperwork myself. They have abandoned the permitting portion for the roof and we are now stuck working with their subcontractor to finish the job. We have been left with an incomplete project and a property littered with construction debris. Roycroft's conduct was unprofessional, their communication was unacceptable, and their disregard for the contract was blatant. I cannot in good conscience recommend this company to anyone looking to deal with professionalism, timeliness or respect. The craftmanship was good, after meeting code; the overall experience was less than satisfactory.

We need our patio door replaced…read moreright away due to broken glasses, I reach out to Steve the previous night around 11 pm, he, not only answered but was able to work with me on a plan and execute it the next day. Since we were in an emergency situation, Steve was able to assemble a crew quickly after their scheduled job and worked on our house tirelessly till about midnight and cleaned everything up and was super courteous. Steve and George came out on a Saturday to finish up trim work and putting in the screen door (had to wait for caulk to dry). Steve is unlike the other contractors I've worked with, he shows up and keeps his word and will be there till it's finished to customers satisfaction. Will definitely use him again if needed. In fact, we hired him to remove an old antenna bolted / screwed to the house already. Whether you are in an emergency situation or need some handyman work done, you can trust Steve with your project.

Our GE double wall oven was acting up and he took the top electronic cover off and checked the wires. He tested all of the possible error codes to check for issues and found none. He tested the broiler, oven temps and convection fans to ensure all was working okay. He also diagnosed our dryer sound that suddenly and intermittently appeared a few weeks ago as a broken idler that we could buy online and either install ourselves (he showed us how) or call him to install when it comes in at his hourly rate.
