    B & B Kitchens Baths and Design

We would highly recommend NOT using Danielle for any project. B&B was hired to design and oversee…read morea master bath remodel last spring. The project under B&B was never completed. B&B designed a custom shower in a full bath remodel, went through the approval process by us, but never verified the design was possible with the solid surface provider. The solid surface provider delayed and delayed for over 8 weeks until finally backing out of the project. A multitude of excuses along the way, several of which made no sense. We went a few more weeks awaiting Danielle to offer a resolution. At no point did she find another solid surface provider or offer an alternative design so that the project could move forward. All communications had to be prompted by us, she was not at all proactive in solving the problem. We did not receive any refund from B&B and ended the contract with them. We found our own solid surface provider, modified the design so it was possible, and finished the project on our own. Do not do business with B&B, buyer beware.

Under no circumstances would we recommend these people. The…read morefirst problem we had with this company was when they changed the original scheduled time two weeks before our bathroom remodeling job was to start. While removing the old shower stall, they cut a water line and poked two holes in the wall between the two bathrooms. While working on electrical job in dining room of installing a light and switch in between the kitchen and dining room, and moved the dining room ceiling light, we discovered that the wiring somehow was switched with the under counter light wiring and the dining room light did not work at all. The most mind boggling part of this remodel was the work they did on the sink vanity. They installed the sink onto the countertop off centered 3", right, but the countertop wasn't centered to the installed medicine cabinet, which was 2", left of center. When we asked the installer why these items were not centered, he said the designer said to install them in the same place of the old items. The new vanity wasn't even the same size as the old one. The designer said the countertop came with a hole pre-drilled off centered. (In her design graphic, everything was centered.) So we asked them to repair this and to center everything. After the sink vanity and sconces were "repaired", the sconces were still unevenly spaced and crooked. They had to move them again. We also had them redo the under the sink work. Because the designer told them to install the vanity in the same place, the hot water valve was in the way of the vanity drawers. The way they made this work was they jerry rigged the hot water line under sink with wire, trying to pull the flexible piping out of the way of the drawer. And they put the valve knob into one of the drawers. We had to have them come back twice to repair the toilet leaking onto the floor. It is also crookedly installed; 15" on the left, 14 1/2" on the right. They had to come back to repair the shower leaking into my laundry room. When they installed the shower faucet, they did not tighten the faucet fitting. Something simple in the installation that caused water puddles in my laundry room. The designer order the wrong size wall storage cabinet for over commode. It did not even fit in the space. The general work they did was poor. When sanding in the bathroom with a power tool, they did not block the dust from leaving the bathroom. We had to mention that some of the wall around the repaired medicine cabinet wasn't repainted. They did not paint the caulking around the shower. They did a poor job painting behind the toilet. For $16,000, they should have made our bathroom like new. They daily tracked dirt from bathroom to the outside, and visa-versa, because they didn't put drop clothes down in the hallway. A glob of tile adhesive had to be removed from bedroom carpet. No drop cloth was used to cover dining room table or floor while sanding the dining room ceiling. After the second day, we put our own drop clothes down everywhere. B & B stored items in garage for the whole project. They purchased material for the bathroom that they didn't even use. A waste of our money. They ordered the wrong handles for the cabinets and had to reorder. They replaced our 24" towel bars with 18" ones. They had to be reordered. They went beyond the agreed upon scheduled days (5) by 3 days, with at least 4 call backs for fixing problems. They finished the job 4 weeks after scheduled, when the wall cabinet was installed. B & B Designs (and H & H Construction) did not perform as professionals in our opinion. Danielle DeBiasio did not execute plans as a professional designer should. We can only guess that she assumed the construction company would know what she imagined and magically make it that way. B&B also would not admit that they did anything wrong, like with the sink vanity top. She said they come that way. Really? Scott Compton, owner of H & H Construction, could not see the obvious incongruity with the installation of the sink vanity area (sconces, medicine cabinet, sink, water lines), which he personally worked on, 3 times. H & H Construction functioned like workers with no precise instructions and did not see obvious faults. Everything they touched had to be repaired, some of the work (like the sink) had to be corrected three times! Finally, in our opinion, this remodeling company used second-hand or discounted items for our bathroom. They did not have a job manager on site for most of the time workers were in our house. And the designer did not professionally design anything. They only tried to replace our existing items. We will be extremely careful with our selection of any company for any work after this situation. We've learned a painful lesson. Unfortunately, we can only believe that given the attitudes of B&B and H&H, they learned nothing.
