My husband and I have now remodeled two kitchens in two different homes, and hopefully we're done!…read moreSince my husband is handy and has done this type of work in the past, we planned on doing all of the work ourselves, with some help from my dad and brother in law. With the first kitchen, we went through Home Depot, because they had an insane special going on. That was not the case this time around (last summer, so this review is way overdue), and we found ourselves at Cluss, a place we had previously purchased some things for smaller projects (gutters, siding). This time, we worked with a guy named Joel who was very knowledgeable and took the time to sit and design the new kitchen with us, despite the multiple phone calls and other interruptions he was receiving. We ordered our Kraftmaid cabinets and we were satisfied with the price. The cabinets were delivered in the estimated time, although we did have a difficult time scheduling an appointment that worked for us, since we both work and I was oh, about 5 months pregnant at this time. When my husband and brother in law installed the cabinets, we did notice some issues. The Kraftmaid cabinets we ordered had a rustic "look" meaning that there were knots and other 'imperfections' that were both authentic and some man made to give it that rustic look (I'm sure there are some more technical terms for that that I don't know). Anyway, we did notice one drawer that had a big splinter in it at the top which we knew would be an issue. Also, a cabinet door and the big pantry door were about four shades lighter than the rest of the cabinets...they looked like they were from a separate run. And the pantry door really stood out because it was the biggest piece in the kitchen. Also, we had asked for a corner cabinet with a lazy susan, but it was just a plain corner cabinet. However, after determining that it actually had more room this way AND that we did not get charged for the lazy susan, we decided to keep it. The other issues, I addressed with Joel via email and he came out that Monday to look at the cabinets. He agreed that they needed to be replaced, and we received the replacement pieces via UPS within a week or so. We kept the old pieces and the H said he would make a spice rack or small herb garden for the kitchen...but it's been a year and I'm not holding my breath... The biggest con would be their hours. Since Cluss caters to contractors, they do not have great evening and weekend hours, like a Home Depot or Lowe's would. Overall, we had a good experience. The issues that we had were resolved quickly and easily. We felt that we got a good deal and would recommend Cluss if you were remodeling your kitchen.

I brought this to the attention of the owner Jimmy (a real character), and he blamed it on my cleaning products(WATER)! After a few trips to his office about this over months of wasted time he had found out it was a finish issue. I was told by him there's several other of their jobs that this happened to also. He claimed that he would resolve this issue by sanding, staining and refinishing them IN MY HOUSE??? Seriously? Since my last visit(a year ago) I have learned he had "attempted" to fix one of the other mistakes and failed miserably. The aforementioned customer was forced to accept a subpar finish they didn't originally choose and then sign a disclaimer that Kabinet Koncepts was no longer responsible for said cabinets after that. My white cabinetry is completely yellow at this point and an absolute eyesore. If I had to do it again I would have went to Dream Kitchen, ManorHouse or Patete like my wife wanted to. Good luck and do your research first...

The gentleman that came to do our template was so friendly and detail oriented. He took his time to make sure everything was perfect and answer any of our questions. We were able to go back to Choice Granite and select what sections of the slab would be used and where. You could tell the pride they took in their work and were so dedicated to getting it just right. The install day came and the install team was fantastic. They were efficient, professional and very friendly. Everything went smoothly. The finished product is awesome! You can tell just how much time they put into make sure everything was perfect. The backsplash lines up perfectly with the design on the actual counter etc. They were a true pleasure to work with and I'm so thankful that our contractor took us there!

The template guy was thorough and accurate. Fabrication was completed on the day they promised and the install team was punctual. They took care not to damage any of the rest of the house during the install process. Worth noting that due to an error on my part, they had to make a second trip to install a part of the countertop. Pricing was reasonable given the scope of work we requested, which included substantial hand-prep for the hearths (curved to fit the fireplace). The install techs are pretty quiet, but I'm paying them to install countertops, not to talk my ear off. They were certainly professional and the install was perfect (incl a seam that was flawless). I can't speak to the old reviews here, but I had numerous interactions with the office staff, the install manager, and the team- everyone was professional and courteous. They delivered exactly what they said they would, and the price I was quoted.

Boy did they deliver! Brendan came out to our house twice to ensure the measurements were correct. I got a tour of the 'shop' , which is immaculate. Their selection, including of drawer pulls & knobs is outstanding. Though my order was not a huge one (two built in medicine cabinets, one wall mount & one vanity), we were treated like it was a big deal--it sure was to us! The one drawer on the vanity had to be cut to accommodate plumbing. I thought I'd be waiting a week to get it. Not only did they finish it that day (a Friday) but they brought it out so we'd have it for the weekend. The details on the cabinets are impeccable, inside and out. The shelf pegs are metal, not shoddy plastic, like most others. The seams on the cabinets are invisible- the workmanship is just outstanding. I highly recommend Caruso Cabinets.

They said they never got the request, so O K , set up an appointment. That was today for 1.00 to 1.30 pm. At 2.20 pm, get a phone call from Denny saying their estimator was tied up in Mt Pleasant! Why was he still in that town, when he is already almost an hour late for me in Delmont area ? I told him, nobody called me to say they will be late until he called at 2.20 pm! He said the girl in the office was not in today because of the weather. It snowed on Sunday, today is Tuesday! So who is running the show at this place? I should of been called by the estimator at 1.00 pm saying he couldn't make the appointment time and perhaps reschedule. They did not respect my time and I would only imagine how things might go if i would hire them to do my kitchen. From others I talked to, things changed there since Denny is in control and that's all I needed to hear. I want results and expect at least a phone call. No way would I put up with such nonsense and lack of accountability to trust them with my kitchen overhaul.
