It was pretty decent. Not especially memorable, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. The inside was a little smoky from the fryer or grill top, so we decided to sit outside. Even though it was warm, it turned out to be a pretty decent day for it. The staff was friendly, including to our dog, which is always a plus. Overall, it was cheap, filling, and perfectly fine for what it is. We would go back. Also, we didn't even ask for extra fries, but the waitress brought us extra fries because she thought there was not enough served with our burger! To those about to nosh, we salute you.

Apparently wood fired is an art, and therefore cannot be accurately forecasted. Pizza was solid, but not good enough to make up for pizza man's lack of professionalism. A simple "I'm sorry man, may bad" would have done the trick, but pizza man blamed the oven which apparently had to be "re-fired". That's technical talk for " I forgot to add more wood".

Although the cafe was pretty busy we didn't have to wait long for our order to arrive. They offer a nice selection of sandwiches and sides. The soup of the day was pepperoni pizza soup...didn't give that one a try but it sounded intriguing. The bread used to make the sandwiches was better than most restaurants and the quality of the food was excellent. They have regular events with live performances each week inside the theater. Also the place is kind of big and they also have a stage for the live bands. The bands that played that day were pretty rad I think all of them were local bands. I think it's great that this place supports local bands. I really like that they had collection of skateboards on wall. Addtionally I would've given this place a 5 star but they don't serve mixed drinks only beer which is a bummer for me. So I didn't get to drink because of that and also one of the reasons we left. I am more amazed each time I come how well thought out the Flat Rock Playhouse is to getting everyone situated with parking, to making sure everyone gets to the correct seat. There isn't much space for parking, so they pack the cars in tight. This is a problem if you need or want to leave early, as you are stuck. But they make do with the space they have. The quality of the shows is outstanding as they get fantastic actors and have great costumes, sets, and music. This year I saw the Michael Jackson show, Beautiful, and Murder on the Orient Express. I'd have season tickets if I lived closer. I am wondering what shows will be playing for the next season.
