I've been here several times since my initial review and always received great service. Also tried a bunch of different lattes, and enjoyed most of them. Angela Bassett with oat milk is still my favorite. Today, it was a little weak, but not enough to talk to the barista over. It's a very chill spot to meet up with a couple of friends, or to sit with your laptop and get some work done. Ya know, a pretty typical coffee shop. I've also had some of the treats and they were pretty good. All locally made.

The latte itself was good! I had a decaf so I can't speak on their caffeinated drinks and the quality of beans. Lots of different seating options! Service was very mehhh. The barista was quiet, so that was a very underwhelming interaction.

We were walking around downtown and came across this place. My wife always loves to try local coffee shops. We stepped in here and were blown away. They offer all the usual drinks, yet they also offer lattes inspired by Hollywood stars. I got the Leonardo Dicaprio, which was a vanilla and honey infused latte. It was pretty good. But the star of the show was the abundance of great seating options. The inside offered moody comfortable lounge seating. Yet, the outside offered cozy natural seating. This is a great local find.

This coffeehouse is very unique and quaint with an eclectic variety of artwork. The atmosphere is a little dark and moody, but a few of the sitting areas include an extra lamp. While the shop seems a little small at first glance, it comfortably accommodates groups of four-six people inside and on the patio. They had a steady stream of customers during our visit. The lone barista was friendly and kept the line moving with just a brief wait time. They have a great variety of classic and specialty drinks. We tried a Dirty Chai Latte and the Wes Anderson. Both were delicious. We also tried the Apple Cookie Butter Roll deform Black Magnolia. Upon recommendation, we warmed it up and it was absolutely amazing. I love that they partnered with another local business. I look forward to visiting again.

If you're craving some good coffee? You have to check them out With a very relaxed vibe that invites you to chill and just enjoy your time while you indulge in a tasteful coffee. Friendly staff, good services, and a lot of delicious options are going to make this coffee shop one of your faves spots. What I had? Angela Basset, a dark chocolate latte, with lavender and vanilla.

This is my first time at the downtown common grounds location and it's just as great if not even better than the first common grounds location! We stopped in after Oktoberfest at South End for a pick me up and I had gotten the Robert Downey Jr at the other location (chocolate, caramel, sea salt) and my husband, who is a coffee snob, absolutely loved this drink, as did I ! The coffee has a rich chocolate/caramel flavor without compromising on the bold coffee flavor. We also commented on how smooth it was. The interior has a dark, dungeony, old Hollywood vibe and I love it! They also sell cocktails and black magnolia pastries which we are a huge fan of. I'd love to come back for a cocktail and to chill!

I have passed this coffee shop many times and I finally got to come here! Definitely did not disappoint. I'm an Iced latte girl and they had so many fun flavors to choose from. The barista was super friendly and fast. He offered his recommendation and I went with it! Delicious to say the last. The atmosphere was very relaxed and cozy. Will definitely be back.

Such a fan of the Common Grounds downtown Greensboro location. It's a different vibe from Lindley park and that's ok! Lindley is brighter and busier. This location is darker and more available seating. We love grabbing coffee, and waiting for lunch at a nearby restaurant downtown.

Go-to coffee spot to take anyone to when they're visiting from out of town. The ambiance is very relaxing and the baristas are super fast with your order. Lots of coffee flavors to choose from, all named after celebrities to make it extra festive. They have a convenient amount of parking spots available with their own parking lot and patio area.

The ambiance is a very perfect, eclectic coffee house viLocated right at the beginning of what I consider downtown GSO. The atmosphere made me want to sit and enjoy myself but I was on the go, but will be returning soon. The gentlemen present at the counter were great and patient as it was my first time, I'm glad no one was behind me! I had the hot Jennifer Lawrence Latte (pumpkin, white chocolate, chai) and it was perfect, not too sweet with balanced flavors. My sister had an iced Angela Bassett with coconut milk and that was a very unique and delightful drink, she went back the next day to get another one. If your not a coffee drinker, they also have wine and beer on the menu! There is a DJ on Sunday for Sunday Spins that was playing nice coffeehouse-esque music. I'll definitely be back, it seemed like such a nice, personable place to relax or get some work done, if need be, but don't, enjoy your coffee!

A delicious cinnamon bun. SN: The have a microwave to warm things up.

I've had the best matcha of my life from Common Grounds. A matcha but make it the Marilyn Monroe (white chocolate and raspberry). All of their drinks are named after celebrities. I love the environment and vibe of this spot. The customer service is always on point. They are friendly and very knowledgeable. On certain days they have live music. They also sell baked goodies from local businesses, some Black owned. You can also find local events from posters placed at the order pickup area.

My favorite latte! Robert Downey - decaf, with oat milk and only a swirl of caramel! Yum!

Since it was a little chilly, we opted to sit inside. The vibe was lively without being loud, which I appreciated. I have a hard time enjoying restaurants where it is difficult to carry on a conversation. We ordered coffee, and it came with biscotti, which was a nice touch. I was also impressed with the menu. It had some traditional breakfast and brunch items, but also several more interesting options that made it hard to decide. I finally landed on the Deviled Egg Toast, topped with pickle slaw and served with a side salad. I was not disappointed. It was delicious. There were four of us, and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Our server, Joanna, was pleasant, personable, and attentive. Overall, Sage Mule was a great breakfast/brunch spot, and I would happily go back.

Now, the food. I had the bagel/lox and while it was tasty, it was too ornate, too complicated, with flavors which drowned the subtle lox flavor entirely. Sometimes less is more. My friend was content with whatever he had without deeming it anything remarkable. Breakfast for two came to $51 (incl tip), doubtless a sign of the times. Maybe people will remember that going out to eat used to be a treat, I suspect that would be a very good thing.

My partner visited Black Magnolia last week after her massage at Green Leaf Wellness center and raved about her cinnamon roll, so I decided to treat myself to one as well and it did not disappoint. I found the Patisserie straight away as I passed it on the way to my massage, but the signage on the curb helps since some businesses in Revolution Mills can be quite difficult to find. The storefront itself is quite small, consisting of a standing room and the glass case of baked goods, but there is seating outside and around the establishment. The staff was attentive, briefing me on all the cinnamon rolls they currently had and letting me know that there were some baking that would be available a bit later. Each roll looked decadent with flavors ranging from lemon blueberry, s'mores, and classic. There were also scones and other baked goods available as well, but I had my heart set on the Classic Cinnamon Roll. I bit into this beauty on my way home and it was the softest and most delicious cinnamon roll I have ever had! Baked with brioche dough and topped with cinnamon cream cheese frosting, the pillowy texture and flavors were so comforting and satisfying. I don't eat sweets often, so this was the perfect treat to end my day with. I am definitely looking forward to trying the lemon blueberry next!

It was the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had. Just to note, this place is in the cut and you have to go down a few stairs but look for their sign posted outside and parking is right across. I'll definitely come back to try more items.

From the moment we walked in the decor and overall vibe felt like stepping back in time in a good way. You can tell a lot of thought went into the place without it feeling overdone. Service was top tier. Alejandra took care of us and knew the menu inside and out without sounding scripted or fake attentive like some places do. I got the salmon and yeah... ridiculous. The gravy alone could've been its own menu item. I was two seconds away from licking the plate. Only complaint is I wish the portions were a little bigger because the food was that good.

The interior and overall vibe are really nice, and the food was good -- but nothing especially memorable. What completely ruined the evening, though, was the service and how an accident was handled. A server from another table accidentally dropped an entire chocolate dessert shot glass behind me, and I got covered in chocolate -- my neck, hair, sweater, jeans, and even half of our table. Accidents happen, and I totally understand that. What shocked me was that neither the server who dropped it nor my own server reacted or even apologized. My server saw everything happen but didn't hurry to help or check on me. I sat there for more than 15 minutes with chocolate in my hair and all over my clothes. Eventually, I had to call the manager myself and ask for napkins or something to clean up. To the manager's credit, she responded quickly and was helpful. Ironically, my server only came over after the manager had already handled everything. In the end, I left the restaurant with a dirty sweater, stained jeans, and chocolate still in my hair. Instead of properly following up, they simply handed me a business card and told me to email or call about the incident. Honestly, after what happened, why should I have to chase the restaurant for a resolution? A much better approach would have been for someone to ask for my contact information and proactively reach out. Overall, it was a very strange and disappointing experience, especially for a place that presents itself as upscale. Sadly, I wouldn't come back again.

I'm so glad I did check my bag before I left because they did not give me ranch or plasticware, man I would have missed out on some amazing ranch.
