These folks are amazing. We were on a road trip with our two pups, when we decided last minute to take our nephew to Disneyland. Very last-minute and unorganized on our part. I actually hadn't realized that Disneyland discontinued their kennel service during Covid. Our fur babies are quite spoiled, and not used to being left anywhere. I was rather nervous trying to figure out last-minute accommodations, when I came across this option on yelp. I am so glad we did. They were incredibly responsive, and managed to accommodate our constantly changing schedule. Super friendly, and sent check-in on the pups throughout the day. I was going to Disneyland for two days and needed someone to watch my dog during both days. After doing extensive research on what met my needs and my standards, I found Comfy Home Dog Boarding. Months prior to my Disney visit, I contacted Chelli to chat with her and ask many questions to make sure that I was comfortable, and she answered them all easily. They have a Disney day boarding option, where you drop your dog off as early as 7am, at the start of your Disney day, and pick up as late as midnight, when Disney closes. This was perfect for me, as I didn't want my dog boarding overnight anywhere. I brought my dog's food, water bowl, food bowl, toys, and leash for her. Chelli sent me a few pictures throughout the day during both days of my dog's stay, which really reassured me while I was away. She followed through with my requests for my dog and it looks like my dog had a nice day hanging out with her and her team of people, who I believe are her family. The only thing I can say was that on the first day, I left my dog with her from about 7:30am to 10pm, and when I picked up my dog and got back to where we were staying, she voraciously gulped down so much water. She is not a crazy water drink, and usually drinks casually as needed. So this was a little odd. My boyfriend also noticed her pee that evening was very yellow. Day 2, my dog was left from about 7am to 8pm, and when I picked her up and brought her back, she was desperately drinking so much water once again. She hasn't done this before, and hasn't done it since. So my only concern was if she was being given water during her stay. I did notice that during both days, when I picked up her belongings at the end of the night, her water bowl was dry so I don't think it was used, and I'm not sure if she was given water at all, or had water from a shared water bowl (which I do not prefer), but she was 110% very thirsty when I picked her up both nights. I do recommend Chelli and her team, and during the two visits my dog spent the day there, I was kept at easy and happy. I have another Disney trip planned soon and absolutely plan to use them again. I will just speak with them about ensuring she gets enough water. read more

Nope, nope and no. Sadly this is a home and the reviews were that's they don't give the dogs water. I immediately got bad vibes when they said we couldn't see inside. It made for sketchy situation. Then they hesitated to give back our half deposit because we were visiting and already feeling weird about this place wanting a $400 deposit. Crazy but no thank you So to respond to her crazy add on. We were never told about doing any walk through when we drop our baby off. They said we had to stay outside and I feel like this is a bad attempt to justify your wrongs. I think places like yours give good business bad names. Your shady dealings are not received the way you think with this back handed aggressive behavior in response. Months later is baffling at best. Like nobody ever reached out to speak with me or my husband in response to any issues we brought up for our dog. Yet our money was quick to be collected and wouldn't hold a spot for our pup if we didn't give it on first initial call. Which was the first red flag. You either need a lesson in business or a management course to refresh you on proper behavior in the workplace. If you truly wanted a good relationship with us moving forward or to show a better sign of business. Then I would have welcomed the chance but your response is outrageous and crude. Be better. My little girl may be a fur baby but she deserves good treatment as much as any human. read more

It was the first time my dog stayed at a doggy daycare and I'm so glad I chose this one! I got invited to a last minute disney trip and was worried about where to leave my pup. She's pretty small and doesn't spend a lot of time around groups of dogs so of course I was worried. I checked the reviews for comfy home and they were all so good. They also have extended hours for disney doggy daycare. We dropped her off around 7:30am and picked her up around 11:30pm. They texted me pics and were super communicative. Let me start off by saying, I had a last minute sitter cancellation and contacted this spot 30-45 minutes before I dropped off my dog for day care. I am VERY thankful this was an even an option, as I wouldn't have been able to go to Disney at all without them. There is a $50 same day booking fee on top of an already pretty hefty price tag, but okay, my issue. Just be warned if you're in my position. The website claims there will be pictures/updates sent during your pet's stay, but I didn't get a single one until 10PM, 30 minutes before pick up. Not the end of the world, but I did stress a little more than I wanted to during the day. I dropped off a day's worth of food for only one meal, and my dog barely eats when she stays at a day sitter. My extra food was not returned to me. Again, not the end of the world, but just not what I'd expect. But my real issues - I came to grab my dog at pick up time, and we couldn't even make it out of the yard without my dog going #2. That means she's been holding it in. When I finally got home I took her to the bathroom again, and she peed more than I've ever seen her pee. Do you guys let these dogs outside??? AND THEN - we get inside and she CHUGGED an entire dish of water. Exactly what the last review said. So you don't let them drink either? What the actual hell? Needless to say, thanks for the last minute stay. I think the business owner who I believe was who I chatted with is nice enough. But whoever watches the dogs during the day - wow. I will NEVER leave my dog here again. I'm sure other people are in the same boat where dogs are our children, and to find out mine did NOT get enough water or bathroom breaks at what is supposed to be a professional facility (with a fenced in yard for f*** sake, open the door and let them out) - never again. Turned a wonderful opportunity and day into one where I find myself feeling guilty as hell because my dog clearly did not receive the care I expected. read more

Shock collars! I cannot even begin to describe our level of disappointment and outrage at our first and only experience with this place. We just moved to Anaheim and dropped our dog off today for a trial day care, hoping to find a comfortable and safe environment for him to stay when we go out of town. He has stayed a multiple other boarding facilities, some with live webcams- and we have never had an issue before. He is on all accounts a quiet and well behaved dog. Not only was he soaking wet when we picked him up (annoying, but I didn't complain about this), but on my drive home I tried to give him some neck scratches and felt something around his neck-- they put a shock collar on him! There was never any mention of use of shock collars on their website or in the conversation before we dropped him off. I did not give any consent for them to be used. He has never used one before. This is completely unacceptable. It's extremely dangerous for a dog in a daycare setting with other dogs to be wearing ANY type of collar, let alone a shock collar. I called to complain and asked the girl working there if they use shock collars- she told me they have some but doesn't know if any were used. When I told her I knew they did because my dog came home still wearing one, she apologized and told me the owner would call me. When the owner first called me he tried to say he doesn't know what happened because they don't have shock collars... did my dog put it on himself? When I told him his employee already admitted it, he said they only have 2 and they only use them if a dog is acting aggressive and only with the owner's consent. He then said that our dog was not acting aggressive, very calm, and was even chilling in his office. He said that his employee that put the collar on him is now "fired". Looking at the update photos they sent me, you can actually see the shock collar in one of the photos, partially hidden by his fur (which is why they forgot to take it off him). I have photos attached. Completely unacceptable. I have a hard time believing this employee simply went rogue and put a collar on my dog without permission. And even if they did, this business is liable for their employees behavior. We were optimistic that this would be a comfortable and safe place for him as advertised on their website, but instead this became a nightmare. Zero actual accountability on their part. To anyone looking for a place to keep your dog while you're in town for Disney- don't be fooled by their advertising. I wouldn't not trust them with my pets and I feel horrible for leaving my dog in their care, especially on his very first time there. read more

I was looking for a doggy day care that could have early drop off and late pickup -- usually use Petsmart but they have limited hours unless it's Pet Hotel -- when I came across Comfy Home on a Google search. The website seemed great and their Instagram was full of recent posts so I reached out and received an immediate response. Kyra (?) asked me necessary questions and answered all of mine; communication was great from the first call to when I dropped off my pup for 12 hours. I received updates as well as photos every few hours and was asked for permission for my pup to engage in activities and how to deal with barking. When I picked up my pup she seemed healthy and happy, no sign of anything wrong; she slept through the night so I know she was active all day. We were excited to use Comfy Home again after a previously good experience as it was located in someone's home. When we were about 10 minutes from the home we received a text asking if anyone had reached out to inform us of their new location...no one had. This was not a home but a boarding facility that still looked to be under construction. Upon entering, it smelled of cat pee which was already a concern. We drove 2 hrs and didn't have any other options so we left our dogs there. When we picked up the dogs, the front door was wide open and no one was at the front desk. I asked if anyone stays overnight with the dogs and was informed no. This concerns me after someone I personally know lost their dog when a boarding facility caught fire in the middle of the night and every dog died. The lack of communication and heads up about where my dogs would be and who would be responsible for them was worrisome. Had I know that 1) my dogs would not be in a home like I expected and 2) my dogs would left alone in a facility all night I would not have left my dogs at Comfy Home. I don't plan to use them in the future for these reasons and other dog owners deserve transparency with this business! read more

I have been searching for weeks for a dog boarder for an upcoming Disney trip in September. I was concerned because I have two rescue chihuahuas that are not as well trained as they could be when it comes to manners but Araceli made me feel comfortable on my initial phone call. I did a trial day care and during this trial she texted me pictures of the dogs while my husband and I got to enjoy a night out for the first time in forever. A previous review here mentioned that their dog drank a lot of water when returning home. This was not my personal experience but what my dogs did do was eat a lot of food when they got home. HOWEVER, from previous times my husband and I have gone on vacation and left them with family, my dogs have gone on hunger strike from anxiety and being away from us so that is in no way a reflection on Comfy Home Dog Boarding. I also inspected both my dogs bodies throughly when getting home, for any bite marks or scratches because I am so paranoid of other dogs bullying them (or them picking fights with other dogs because they're chihuahuas), but of course, there was absolutely nothing on them. I also really like that through their Instagram we can see how well they treat all the dogs they board. I'm always so worried that people will not treat my dogs as well as I would, but that was not a concern here. Comfy Home Dog Boarding has eased my mind and provided me a much needed service.
