Terrible lines. Not managed well. Rude guests. Steer clear. Find another fast food joint to meet your needs

Excellent service for a burger shack! Excellent food, very tasty and good portions. Our server was Matt? I'm not sure, but he was the best, smiled, and seemed genuinely glad to be there. Prices were fair. We will definitely be back. read more

Second time here. Busy as usual, very good burgers. Nice staff. Great ambiance. They have outdoor seating around the building and parking lot. read more

Come Back Shack - Burgers Near Me - Boone, North Carolina

If you're in Boone there is NO reason to get a chain fast food burger when Comeback Shack exists. The price is shockingly reasonable *cough* fiveguys *cough* and their service rivals Chick-fil-A. Wish they had more inside seating tho... read more

My friend called this the promised land and she wasn't kidding. I ordered the Carolina style burger, the ranch fries and an oreo milkshake. Every bite was delicious! The burger was cooked perfectly and juicy. The ranch fries loaded with toppings, they definitely didn't skimp, and the oreo milkshake the perfect end to the meal. Their service was quick and they had the drive thru down pat since they are restricted due to covid. Absolutely wonderful food and service! read more

One of the best fast food experiences I've had in Boone after multiple visits. This is our first visit to Come Back Shack & we will come back! The you by man working the drive thru was quick, helpful & the kind of pleasant that is not so common anymore. The staff at the window was quick & the food was out so fast I couldn't believe it. We had a double burger, fries, chicken tenders & 2 milkshakes. No complaints! Thank you for a surprisingly pleasant experience! read more

This place is always busy but the food and service is amazing and worth the wait. I've been here many times and had countless items on the menu and all were hits with no misses. I would recommend this place to anyone also the shakes are out of this world. read more

What a great place! Friendly service! The burgers are perfect and delicious how you want them! Grilled chicken tenders are the best! But the French fries are to die for! Served in so many ways! Upscale burger restaurant. read more

Great shake, Was desperate for a good strawberry shake and these guys delivered. Their burgers and grilled chicken are also awesome

The food is freshly made the best and fastest Burger in the High Country. The burgers taste awesome and the service is with speed and accuracy. We ate through the drive through which is a traditional first meal arriving in town. You cannot go wrong here for the Best Fast Food Restaurant in town. If you decide to eat inside the ambiance is perfect that's why it's called The Come Back Shack. read more

They are currently only offering drive thru due to Covid. However they're running their drive thru very smoothly and quickly. There are picnic tables available for outdoor dining and they are spaced out well throughout lot. There were two employees taking orders from the parking lot. By the time you get to the window you have contactless payment and receive your order. The burgers were excellent and the side of fries could easily be shared. Their small milkshake is what I consider large, topped with whip cream. Excellent lunch after zip lining. read more

Oh my goodness,...my first experience with Come Back Shack was exceptional. Sarah orchestrated the lobby like a maestro! Her ability to predict patrons needs and read when service isn't warranted is impressive! The food was great, but the service second to none! read more

One of our favorite stops when we're in Boone. The Greek style burger and fries were really good and the pumpkin shake was amazing! Please bring a location to Fayetteville! read more

The Come Back Shack fries are so, so delicious! One of our favorite snack to grab when visiting Boone. We are always astonished how quickly they get you through the drive through with freshly cooked food. The systems and organization they have in place make for a seamless experience. Also, we love shakes and enjoy that they have seasonal one too. The pumpkin shake and the Girl Scout Cookie shake are a couple of our favorite seasonal ones. read more

Worst fast food experience in a long time!!!! I used to go here all the time and get their chili dog but since they removed it, it's been all down hill. I don't know if they are under new management or something but geez why can't comeback shack high command train employees better each time I speak with one they sound depressed like they need a union I think because what ever they are doing is badly affecting their service... Sorry for that long run on sentence. So the food is bad last time I went I got the "comeback burger" no I will not come back and no do not get their burgers. Not only did it taste like it had been defecated on by an employee I wasn't convinced this wasn't monkey meat. The burger didn't look any better either, it was sloppy falling apart and yellow??? I didn't order cholera no thank you!! Also the inside of the restaurant feels like a crack den. I have said my peace do you and your family a favor and just get chic fil a. Sorry I couldn't get a picture because I am writing this days after sorry I don't want you to go and suffer from the food poisoning their so just pull up and image or if you are brave go and see it first hand NO I AM NOT REFERRING THEM!!!!! read more

If I could leave less than 1 star I would. We went into the restaurant and the lady pointed at a kiosk she said take your order there. You can only pay eith a card. No cash allowed. Unbelievable, we are not in the midst of the Pandemic anymore, but there are no waitresses or anyone on the floor. She made us feel like she didn't want to deal with us at all. I would not recommend this restaurant as we had a terrible experience with them. read more

Good Greek style burger! Burger has feta, spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers and the beef patty burger. The french fries were regular flavor and great spices and definitely yummy. We did a drive through order around 4 pm so the line was short. They keep the line moving. Burger meal was $11 with fries and drink. read more

Messy delicious burgers that make people happy. The candy cane crunch milkshake is phenomenal!Service is very good and friendly.

Amazingly good. Similar to Five Guys, but better, which is a significant compliment in my family. Burgers are fresh, not frozen, very tasty, and seemed to be grilled smash style as they are greasy. Fries are excellent - better than Five Guys. And the cold brew is delightful. The service was from the most chill guys ever. Great place! read more

The worst burger I've had in a long time! Started off with a good patty and smothered it with mayo, ketchup and mustard......oozing all over. Disgusting! read more

Come Back Shack - The top of my sandwich, under all of that goo - Burgers Near Me - Boone, North Carolina

Great place! Was in the mood for some great food driving through the Parkway and found this place. Food was amazing and the service was even better! We had ordered a couple milkshakes and found out afterwards that they were having trouble with the machine. They managed to create half the order before admitting they could complete the order. Not only were they great about communicating the trouble they reimbursed us for all the milkshakes, even the ones they were able to make! That is the way to take care of people! read more

OMG!!! I still think about this place. Of course I heard of this place because of yelp. I saw the fantastic reviews and knew I had to come and try this place out!! I was nervous because the parking lot is small and narrow but we were lucky enough to find a spot. Line is OUT THE DOOR!! But it's worth the wait. We wrote down what we wanted and gave it to the cashier. We got a number and found a spot outside to eat. We didn't wait long at all for our food. I got a sweet tea and it was good. I started off with a chili with all the fixings on it. I would definitely get that again. I got a grilled chicken sandwich and it was juicy and fat. I also got fries with comeback sauce and bacon and cheese. I'm not a fries fan but I had to get these. They were so good and straight up loaded with toppings!! The prices are cheap too!! My husband loved his food so much he ate the whole thing AND was debating on ordering a burger to go. He decided not to because a huge church van pulled up and we knew we didn't want to wait. I'm already thinking about what to order for next time because there will definitely be a next time. read more

Fast paced great food... yea it's fast food but I decided this is a better description! Fries are excellent! If you want something taken off their specialty burgers, just build your own because that's not an easy option. Otherwise service was good and food was excellent! read more

I am a big burger guy so I loved this place! I moved here recently and this will definitely become a regular spot for me. Very high quality burger, with a very big menu. High efficiency like Chick-fil-A, and you get your food quickly. Highly recommend! read more

Best burger menu in the High Country. Seasonal shakes are great as well as hand cut fries. My son's go to is the ranch fries with bacon. But the one thing that I appreciate beyond the great food was when they shut down to cook meals for the line workers immediately after Helene. So go there to support them and get some great food. read more

Giant, juicy burgers! We both got the double burger with "come back" sauce and fries. Service was unbelievably fast and the food was all great! The pickles on my burger were homemade and gave a great, crisp crunch! The fries were hand cut, and a solid side item. I got a vanilla milkshake that was good too, and the chicken tender snack was very fresh and hot. The drive thru was full the whole time, but it was moving. This place is popular! They have heated outdoor seating that allows dogs, and there are additional picnic benches at the back of their property. There's a cute little napkin/condiment shack so you don't have to go all the way back inside for those things. Great for large groups! Overall, it's a super good value for what you get. read more

Amazing! Burger and hand cut fries! Love it all. Workers were very polite and helpful. Will definitely be here again.

Good burger and fries and quick service. Reasonable price but do wish they had burger options on the kids menu.

Hamburger a 2. Greasy fries(1 star or less) with only 2 pieces longer than an inch; mostly scraps. Inside seemed dark and dirty ; in need of a pressure washing. Wife and I concluded this was our last visit. Never been the same since Backyard burgers left. read more

Ordered 2 veggie burgers. Buns stale and hard. Burgers overcooked and dry. Sparse and low quality burger items. Very poor product. Will not go back. read more

We remembered this place from a previous visit to Boone. It is a small locally owned place specializing in burgers. The dining room hostess was super helpful, helping us navigate the new (to us) online ordering system. The food was every bit as good as we remembered it. I had a fried green tomato burger with pimento cheese. My husband had a cheese burger. The fries were hand cut and delicious. The workers checked on us several times to see if we needed anything. We will definitely "come back." read more

Never got to try the food. The ordering system kept messing up and I had to get up three times to get someone to help me with it. The employees never offered to just take the order for us so we got up and left. Passed three employees on the way out and none of them even asked what was wrong or why we were leaving. The food smelled good but I guess I'll never know. read more

The local beef is magnificently flavorful on its own. It doesn't need any of the sauces to stand up on. Having said that, the spicy fries with the homemade ranch dressing are magical. read more

Used to be really good. Went in and no service, was told to scan a UR Code and order online. Then they put your order and a shelf and text you when it's ready for pickup. Say there watching our food sit waiting on a text and was ridiculous and then the owner said, we'll we prefer you go through the drive through now and then bring your food inside if you wish to eat in. Will not be back!!! read more

Unbelievably good burgers; like nothing else I've ever had in my life, anywhere. i think service is great and more even handed now that they let you order "digitally" what you want, so you can clarify precisely what you want. Food is always fast. Ambiance is ok; not a fancy restaurant but it's not supposed to be - just a FANTASTIC meal; what else can you want from a burger place? read more
