Xfinity internet and xfinity mobile is bait and switch, what they tell you on the phone or through their worthless app is NOT what you get in person. I've caught them in 4 lies and they refuse to admit any type of error on their part. I've disconnected both of their services and then they're trying to charge me a " prorated" rate for services that I wasn't using as I was no longer on either of their networks. There's been 2 times that I have been talking with customer service and I've heard CHICKENS in the background!!! My advice is to drop them, call your bank and get a new credit/debit card number and have your bank put a block on them from accessing your account. And the agents at the xfinity store are uneducated about their own products and will smile at you while telling you to call customer service and solve your problems with them, only to have customer service tell you to go to the xfinity store and talk to management. I've since found cheaper and more reliable internet and phone providers with much more knowledge agents . These people are NOT the only game in town folks!! YOU CAN DO BETTER!! DO NOT TOLERATE THEM!! WiFi drops every 10 minutes. Routers needs to be reset 4-5 times an hour. We're on our 9th or 10th visit from a tech who does some tinkering outside. Comes back in, unplugs the router and plug it back in and then leaves. And then an hour later the service drops again. We have to work from home due to Covid and our offices being closed and we're basically unable to. We have had to rent office space out of our own pockets just to be able to keep our jobs. At this point it's an infrastructure issue that needs to be addressed, but since we're not on the ritzy side of town nobody cares. read more

This review is specifically for Internet service in Houston. Previously, we lived in SF, California and had Xfinity cable + internet for over 10 years. The connection was stable, and we had perhaps 2 or 3 outages a YEAR! Since moving here, our service has been spotty, 2 or 3 outages a MONTH and sometimes for hours. This weekend, it's been down since Friday night. Called on Saturday, just silly scripted troubleshooting - check cables, reboot modem. You think I haven't tried?!! Anyway, no one could come until today, Sunday, so we've been down for 1.5 days. Let's see. Will update regarding professionalism of the techie who comes out. The worst customer service ever. Their call center is based in Jamaica and they have all the phone reps in one room working and you can't hear a Word they are saying. I have had problems all winter with my signal which was not improved with a new cable line. I lost all services on April 3 and then blamed for damage Whuch l did not cause the pedestal that Entouch placed 10 years ago. To date Comcast sent a supervisor and 3 technician whom are unable to replace or replace the pedestal as they are not trained in the area. I wish I could give zero stars. This company called me and offered free phone service for a year due to the affordable care act expiring, next thing I know I'm being charged $40 for service. I spoke with them for 6 hours one day only for them to cold transfer me back and forth between departments. they would say yes mam we see the promo but we can't add it I'll transfer you over to xyz department. one Supervisor promised to do a warm transfer because he can clearly see the promo however it expired on 07/30/24 and that mines was added on 07/28/24 so there should be no issues. only to be hung up on because that representative barely understood my English. He would constantly place me on hold repeating himself. I recorded myself being place on hold for an hour before I used my son's phone to contact customer care while still being on hold with the representative who eventually hung up on me while I was waiting to speak to his supervisor. The new representative was able to hear the previous representative hang up the phone in my face without probable cause. I was not irate I was kind and I told them I need these calls pulled because I've been nothing but patient when I shouldn't have to be I'm the customer your supposed to please me not the other way around. I decided to go to the store the gentleman was very nice but he couldn't help me with the phone he was able to help me with my internet. over all I'm looking to switch service because why do yall have people playing on the phone causing unnecessary health issues, high blood pressure, anxiety. I would give them a zero if I could, the customer service is the worse I have ever dealt with. I signed up for service with Xfinity July of 2023, I have had nothing but problems with my service and billing from day one. I had to have multiple techs come out because the service was never installed correctly, each time they charged me $100 and said it was on my end not their problem, if my service was not installed correctly that is their issue not mine. Finally a tech that knew what he was doing came out and got it all taken care of, I called and disputed charges of $200, I was given and adjustment after contacting them multiple times as well, it takes 2-3 hours every time I contacted them. No one knows what they are doing there. On 3.5.24 I looked at my acct and it showed a credit of $162.20, I received my invoice on 3.7.24 and it showed a credit of $31.80, I also received a late notice on the same day, I reached out to an agent via chat and was assured that I did not have a past due amount and I did have a credit of $31.80. Today 3.12.24 I received a notification that my acct is past due and I owe $260 or my service will be disconnected, How can I have a credit one day and be past due 5 days later? They told me that my bill will be $156.00 a month two days ago and they keep taking almost $200.00 out of my account. The customer service rep told me that my next bill will be $156.00, and he said he put it in the notes to take out $156.00. Because, the rep wouldn't take no for an answer when I said I didn't want cell phone service. So, I tried to see the price difference. The rep talked me into switching cell phones when all I wanted was internet and come to find out, they are just piggy backing on Verizon and Verizon coverage is trash, and they couldn't even get the other phone on the account switched and said it wasn't compatible. So, now, imagine.... The rep has me switched 2/3 of the way over and figures out that he can't even do it. Then, this a-hole decides that he's gonna try to run my social security number without even consulting me, which leaves a negative mark on my credit report and lowers your credit score. Good think I froze my social security number, or that would have just been another ding on my credit report. I'm still not done cancelling service, cuz now, I got all this stupid equipment on the way that I already picked up at the store that I now am responsible for returning when it arrives even though I specifically told them several times that I was picking it up from the store and to not send it to me at all. I chatted with several agents about cancelling service, and was so pissed off that I couldn't even go through with it, and got a random phone call later from a supervisor that was laughing when I told this guy for the hundredth time to shut his flappy mouth and cancel the gd service. I told this supervisor that I imagine that this whole ass experience is what hell is like. I used to recommend this company just based on use of their internet at a friend's house, but after this nightmare, I will happily tell everyone how terrible this thieving ass company truly is. We stopped by Xfinity Memorial yesterday (which is not in Memorial Mall, but other side of highway), my wife was willing to move from Verizon to Xfinity and get a new iphone with the $200 special discount at the moment. After 2 hours, we exit the shop with the new phone, New internet plan and 3 Xfi pods wifi repeater to help with a blind spot. The process to transfer the cell phone from verizon To Xfinity was painful due to so many information to fill (verizon account number, pin code, Social security numbers then need some validation in verizon app, ... and I did not have everything ready so we had to do it in multiple times). Also, we were suggested to buy liquid screen protection (quite strong suggestion and seems expensive) but we did not select. For Xfi wifi extender pod, it seems a good option but we found out later that it needs to have the right plan and a Xfinity modem. For us, after purchase and trying to activate in the shop, employee found out we need to upgrade our internet plan and we did for a few dollars and some additional time. The employee helped us to update our modem references (this is good). Then once home, we found out it is not compatible with any homeowner modem, they could have let us know before we purchased. It just show minimum training and knowledge by employees of their own products. I returned the pods today, but kept the internet plan update which seems a good deal. read more

Zero Stars. Been a customer for 22 years - that is about to end. Talked me into a different plan to "save me money". Ha! Told them I would agree as long as my services, channels or features did not change. The agent assured me that was the case - everything would stay the same - just a newer plan at a lower cost. What a Lie. I could not longer get Peacock or Max and it appears my DVR is now limited to 20 hours. And with my latest bill I am paying more than I was before. I spent hours on the phone with no satisfaction. So went to the local Xfinity store, but they are powerless. The manager and she told me that the company has taken away all power from the stores. They can't make any adjustments in store. I told them I wanted to go back to the plan I had before. Of course they told me that plan (X1 Premier Pro+) was no longer available. Just spend another hour on the phone with a supervisor. She didn't have access to a plan as good as what I had before. She put in a ticket to see if this can be resolved a higher level. Billing for cable television continues to increase, a notice of increase we received back in 12/2023 our bill will increase to over $300.00 so we canceled all movie channels only to bring our monthly internet 1000 mb and basic cable with HD channels and sports for $263.00 a month! We called and we're offered a promotion (being long term customers, we are not offered promotions) $212. for the same basic tv HD channels sports & wifi services. Now we are back to $263. If I could leave zero stars I would have. I have been with Comcaste, then Xfinity, for over 20 years. I have watched and their customer service has gotten worse and worse. You can't even find a customer service number on any of the web account pages. I called and had them delete all my tv packages, we stream everything, leaving only my internet and home security. Almost 4 weeks later I get a bill and its all still on their. I call, go thru 15 minutes and automated BS to get to real person only to be told they have no record of anything. My complaint is regarding xfinity (Comcast) and their customer service. For 2 1/2 weeks my TV has had three issues which are still unresolved. I have called 1-2 times a day to get my issues resolved. Each time I call I have to wait 20-70 minutes to get an agent. I tried to use their virtual assistant but had to fill out a form including payment of $1 (refundable) to reach an agent. I filled out the form but it was denied by my bank. Thus, using their virtual assistant was no longer an option. I also tried per their computerized phone message to keep my space in line for a call back from an agent. Well, that did not work because no one called me back. During the past 2 1/2 weeks a technician came out and an escalation specialist have come out. After the technician left our WiFi was fixed but after that is when issue #1 occurred. After the escalation specialist came out is when issues #2 and 3 occurred. So we ended up w 3 unresolved issues. So, now my calls were referred to the escalation department for at least 5 days. We had an appointment scheduled w a senior escalation specialist on Saturday (9/7) but when I called on Saturday to confirm they said I had no appointment and they rescheduled another appointment on Sunday (9/8). On Sunday when I was scheduled I called and was told again that I did not have an appointment . It was then that I realized that I never received a confirmation email from xfinity for these 2 appointments ( which explains why there is no documentation in my 2 1/2 week long (1-2 times per day) phone conversations with escalation specialists. I was then rescheduled again for Monday (9/9) from 8-9am and received a confirmation email. On Monday I received an email that the senior escalation specialist was on the way. I stayed close to the front door w a ring doorbell and a barking dog to make sure I got their arrival. There was no way anyone came to our door or rang the doorbell. So, a no show without notice (unethical practice). Well, within 5 minutes I get another text message that "we r sorry we missed you and was told the appointment was closed". I called once again and the agent told me the job was completed. What job? They never showed. Now my patience has been really tested and abused. I called and got another appointment for Tuesday (9/10) from 1-3pm. I decided to call to leave a complaint w a supervisor of the escalation team. Called twice and the escalation department sent 2 requests for a supervisor to call. Well, did one call after 2 requests, NO. I called again and the escalation agent was calling from India and could NOT confirm my Tuesday appointment or connect me w a supervisor of the escalation team. She was unable to do so-probably because she was from India. I called again and I heard the message that I had no scheduled appointments. When I was connected to the agent they said I had the Tuesday appointment and I tried to get a confirmation email. When I spoke to this agent she saw my requests and tried to connect me w a supervisor of the escalation team but could not get one. She suggested that she type a lengthy email to her supervisor w all the egregious details and to please call me. Did the supervisor call me. No. I called one last time at 9:55pm to get an emailed confirmation. The agent was from the Philippines and could not send me a confirmation email but gave me a work order no. 1001691812232018. Before I went to bed I turned on the TV and guess what- it was not working and I was too frustrated and tired to make yet another call. I will have to call in the morning to have xfinity restart the TV so it would be working till the escalation specialist arrives from 1-3pm. One of the issues is that I cannot restart/reboot from my end. Xfinity (comcast) has been totally inefficient; w a horrible and inexcusable customer service; I am without a fully functional TV (without technical issues); and, in my opinion, xfinity has unethical consumer services. read more

However, the sales associate at this particular store that helped me was supposed to register my phone for a trade in, but being that she didn't, I can no longer trade my phone & get the promotion deal, so therefore I am stuck paying a monthly payment that it way more than what I was told that I will originally pay & unfortunately way more than I what I paid with att. If only there were a way to give no stars at all, that would be grand. I have had issues with them for some time, but not to this extreme. I have officially filed a complaint with the FCC hoping this will do something. Starting 10.22.2024 is when the worst of it all initiated. It is now 10.07.2024 and every consecutive day, my internet has failed up to 10 times in one day. I work remotely, but, have been unable to accomplish much because the internet has been inconsistent. Today, I lost service a total of 9 times. There is no excuse for it. I have spoken to a couple of supervisors and that took work to accomplish, as I was denied a supervisor by a representative who told me he would help me as there was not a supervisor available. To make matters worse, that representative in layman's terms, told me I had "already received $60.00 in credit. What else could we do?" I took offense to that majorly because I am going on three weeks of interrupted service which means, UNPAID time, and yet I am to be okay with a $60.00 credit?! How does that add up to the loss of income? Please help math that credit to the loss of income. Supervisor #1 assured me that he would have a technician sent to my home to inspect the cables and equipment, as well as, the pole servicing my home. They attempted to cancel on me THREE times stating my issue had been resolved whilst having NO INTERNET as they attempted to cancel EVERY TIME!!! How is that defined as resolved? The technician does show up, informs my husband and I that the signal directed to our home was not the best, therefore, directed us to another line. He also replaced our router. TEN MINUTES after leaving, the internet failed again multiple times. The service is the worst it has been thus far. Sooooo, on the phone again I go. I spoke to a representative who told me that she would seek a supervisor for me. She FAILED to place me on hold. I could hear children screaming, and the representative having a conversation with her family. Mind you, she told me she was walking to her supervisor's office to explain my situation and was underway to her desk to speak to me. I addressed the fact that I was aware that she was a remote worker, and that she did not walk to her supervisor's office unless he was at her home. I brought to her attention that I could hear screaming children and her conversation taking place with others. She blatantly lied explaining that she worked with others from different countries; but, according to the conversation that took place, I much doubt that was the case as it was not a conversation for the office environment. She placed me on hold only to be transferred to the billing department. The representative there told me she would transferred me back to the technical support department which took another hour to speak to a supervisor. I FINALLY get a hold of a supervisor whose name is Peter, who assures me that he would attempt to get a technician to my home that very day. "I will call you back within the hour", he stated. Did that call take place? No, it did not! In fact, I have yet to receive a call as of now. Xfinity is blatantly stealing from its consumers DAILY providing a service that is non existent in exchange for our money and we are offered a credit we will more than likely not receive. Yet, if we do not pay for a service we do not receive, the little bit of service we do get, will be terminated. Their ratings are sadly better than other companies at max 3 stars. I was a customer for over 10yrs, we moved from one location to another. Once we moved and paid our previous bill the problems started. They transfered our service and then when it was time for me to pay the bill, I was unable to log into my account, in which they gave me two different accounts. I reached out to customer service and they ended up having me change my username and password. Still after doing this I was unable to log in mu account to pay the bill.....all of a sudden after trying to setup a payment the lady tell me Oh, I see here on your bill yu owe 1300......wait what????.....this is after my service started acting up, they messed up my account totally and then expected me to pay that bill.....when it was all they fault from the start, how u pay ur previous bill of 300 and something to bring balance to 0....and then within a month not even, u get told u owe all that money, I politely told them they can have all they sh** back and I left them.....they have good deals but man when they mess up, they are no help either pay or lose service, and we loved them.....but they lost us.......yeah man ​ read more
