When I arrived, I waited around and eventually one of the guys who was walking by asked if I had been checked in, and he took my name. That minimal contact was it. No one checked on me again or even looked at me twice for half an hour. Eventually, I walked towards the back and told a young woman that I was waiting for my 3:00 pm appointment. She said they would get to me when someone was free. I asked for an estimate of the wait time and she had no response. Usually, in the past, someone in the store at least calls out and greets customers coming in the door in a pleasant tone. Not so here. I understand they are busy, but the whole atmosphere was surly. Eventually, after 40 minutes, one rep who was helping someone else asked what I was waiting for. Then he started to assist me while he was still working with another customer. He was pleasant and helpful, but he explained that he is not actually assigned to that store. Maybe that explains a lot. Because customer service did not seem to be assigned to that store either. I get that they are busy. But a smile and a greeting when people arrive would go a long way. Kudos to Aaron, the visiting Verizon employee with the pleasant attitude who eventually helped me.

Upon entering the store in the evening, there are three Associates all busy and a female customer waiting. I was not acknowledged at all. 3 other customers come in were each acknowledged. One male customer who came in after me was helped and left. A female Associate, approached the two female customers to inquire as to why they were visiting. Again, I was ignored. I'm wearing the brightest red shirt in the store and only person of a different race. Finally, about 40 minutes into my wait, an older male employee comes out and addresses the group making eye contact with me about help. I waved. When he finally motioned to me, I told him I've been waiting 40 minutes. He apologized. By that time, I was livid over what started out as a 'slight', but 4 people and 40 minutes later I have to conclude it was more. I tried to inquire about an upgrade but since I'm not an authorized account owner, those options were unavailable to me. This was totally fine, as I expected that answer. I had mentioned I obtained upgrade info over the internet and thanked him for his time and left the store. For a hot second, I was tempted to vent my seething anger over the horrible customer service or lack of it experienced by those 3 Associates. How these people were doing to me what their parents/grandparents may have experienced in 1961. This is 2021. There is no excuse any way through and around it for this kind of behavior. Ignorance has no place in today's society. For this reason, I would not recommend ATT for anything. I'd rather go back to using two cups and a string or sending smoke signals. Go to anybody but ATT. I'd give it 0 stars if I could.

I hate my current internet and cable company-- Layer3 come to NYC please!! My brother had Layer3 installed one morning while I was visiting. I complained and expected the worst, but it was literally the easiest experience ever. This nice install rep (hi Chris!) came perfectly on time and did the entire setup for us in a few minutes - he was very pleasant and funny. I had no idea what this new cable was, so he spent time explaining and showing us a few pointers to make sure we understood the software. It's like a no contract, no fee, amazing cable company that has even higher quality imaging. Plus virtually unlimited DVR space (Hello binge watching!) Oh and it's less expensive than what I'm paying for UGHHHHH. The Damage: I believe the price is different depending where you are, so worth calling to see.     Consumer Warning: Do Not Hire FixTman LLC (Washington, D.C.)…read more I would strongly caution anyone against hiring FixTman LLC for TV mounting or installation services. I hired this company through a referral from BJ's Wholesale Club, expecting professional installation. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. The technician arrived and spent 4 hours mounting my TV. Less than 10 minutes after he left, the TV fell completely out of the wall. After I contacted the company, the technician returned with his father and reinstalled it. That should have been the first red flag. The TV was installed in September 2025. In April 2026, the TV fell out of the wall again -- this time causing serious damage: * Destroyed my TV * Damaged my wall / sheetrock * Left me with additional repair costs I contacted FixTman LLC again, and their response was that they would do nothing because it had been more than 30 days. To make matters worse, Thumbtack Quality Assurance also stepped in and tried to help resolve the issue on my behalf. They contacted FixTman LLC directly, only to be told the exact same thing -- that I only had 30 days and they would not take responsibility. Let that sink in. A properly mounted TV should not fall out of a wall -- not once, and definitely not twice. This was not normal wear and tear. This was poor workmanship, improper installation, and a complete lack of accountability. In over 40 years, I have never seen anything like this. Please do your research before hiring this company. I will also be reporting this experience to BJ's Wholesale Club, since they referred them. I felt rushed and felt more as…read morethough I was a bother in coming to store to inquire about my high monthly payment and asking how I could possibly reduce my bill. The customer service was less than par and felt it was less than indicative of a an inquiry from A LONG TERM CUSTOMER OF AT&T. I feel that possibly another service provider (Verizon) maybe a bit more user friendly for me in the future. Also a note to the manager--maybe allow the associate to be a more natural help rather than show him how your would do it. And then to have the audacity to make sure that I complete the survey so that (in your words) "the associate could get promoted"

We have been loyal AT&T customers for 15 years. We have a grandfather in unlimited data. So you would think they're honor and appreciate their loyal clients, but no. They're just a bunch of greedy service provider. Since they're are not offering unlimited data anymore. They decided to sent us a letter raising it by $5 more. This is a second letter we've received within 3 months. So every 3 months it seems we get another $5 increase in our plans. What a rip off. That's how AT&T treats their loyal customers of 15 years. So to all of you yelper in search of service providers. Keep in mind. AT&T does not care about you. They're out their to make $$$. So go with whichever provider that treats you the best with the best rates.
