This is my favorite location. The reps are always courteous and knowledgeable. I stopped in this evening with an issue with my son's phone. Kevin quickly fixed it and showed me how to easily solve the problem myself if needed. I also purchased a case and protective screen. Not sure why this store is even in business. AT&T customer service accidentally created two accounts in my name. This store can't help. Went in and they said I Have to call customer service. So I left and I did call customer service. I get it figured out and go to back to the store to get an upgrade...manager comes out and denies me getting an upgrade because it'll trigger fraud on my account? So I called Customer service back and they said I could get an upgrade and not sure why the store was telling me about fraud alerts. Went back into the store and was told by the manager that AT&T customer service representatives always lie to its customers and that the store can't do an upgrade. So I Left the store yet again and called customer service. Customer service said I absolutely can get an upgrade. So I got me a new phone coming in the mail. This review is for corporate: We purchased a new cell phone from At&T. The product was not available at the store, so the product was mailed to our house. When product was received we then transferred data from old phone to new phone. The phone stated it was all done. We found out soon after the cellular was not working. We called phone number for customer service. The employee made it worse. They locked the account associated with that number and the store could not transfer and get cellular on. Next day we spoke to another representative stating we would have to wait a week and live without a phone. We decided to return the phone and claim it was a lemon and not functioning as we expected. The store now is stating we will owe a restock fee. That is illegal on lemon laws. They also won't return the product since it was mailed to us. I've never heard a store not return the same company product. read more

I am on a family plan and was instructed to go into a local store for a phone diagnosis. I was just going through the motions as I'm aware the phone has a cracked screen. Upon entering the store in the evening, there are three Associates all busy and a female customer waiting. I was not acknowledged at all. 3 other customers come in were each acknowledged. One male customer who came in after me was helped and left. A female Associate, approached the two female customers to inquire as to why they were visiting. Again, I was ignored. I'm wearing the brightest red shirt in the store and only person of a different race. Finally, about 40 minutes into my wait, an older male employee comes out and addresses the group making eye contact with me about help. I waved. When he finally motioned to me, I told him I've been waiting 40 minutes. He apologized. By that time, I was livid over what started out as a 'slight', but 4 people and 40 minutes later I have to conclude it was more. I tried to inquire about an upgrade but since I'm not an authorized account owner, those options were unavailable to me. This was totally fine, as I expected that answer. I had mentioned I obtained upgrade info over the internet and thanked him for his time and left the store. For a hot second, I was tempted to vent my seething anger over the horrible customer service or lack of it experienced by those 3 Associates. How these people were doing to me what their parents/grandparents may have experienced in 1961. This is 2021. There is no excuse any way through and around it for this kind of behavior. Ignorance has no place in today's society. For this reason, I would not recommend ATT for anything. I'd rather go back to using two cups and a string or sending smoke signals. Go to anybody but ATT. This review is for corporate AT&T. Not the store itself. We will post on all AT&T yelp page since it's within the family and there is no specific corporate page. We have been loyal AT&T customers for 15 years. We have a grandfather in unlimited data. So you would think they're honor and appreciate their loyal clients, but no. They're just a bunch of greedy service provider. Since they're are not offering unlimited data anymore. They decided to sent us a letter raising it by $5 more. This is a second letter we've received within 3 months. So every 3 months it seems we get another $5 increase in our plans. What a rip off. That's how AT&T treats their loyal customers of 15 years. So to all of you yelper in search of service providers. Keep in mind. AT&T does not care about you. They're out their to make $$$. So go with whichever provider that treats you the best with the best rates. read more

Let me just say, the overall experience with AT&T has been one for the books! However, I can say that I was pleasantly impressed with the way I was handled as a customer. From the time I walked in, up until I left the store I was treated with care and respect. The whole ordeal, which by the way wasn't their issue to be begin with, was finalized with them completing my exchange and sending me home with a working device. To say I was ecstatic is an understatement! I was so much more than that! I am so appreciative of Eric, Dee and the other gentleman who assisted me. *I feel so bad that I can't remember his name * He knows who he is, if he gets to read this review. Y'all let me tell you, when it comes to high quality customer service, AT&T's Bowie Corporate Store is on their game! Hands down! The store is clean. They play some really good music. They're very engaging with the customers, while socially distancing of course! They greet you when you walk in. Annnnd they're ALL RESPECTFUL! Big ups to whomever instilled that in them as human beings. Overall, they go the extra mile to make sure that their customers are happy & satisfied when they leave the store. Whether that means being on the phone with the call center reps for hours at a time, saying something funny to get you to laugh in the midst of a frustrating situation or just hearing your concern and doing what they need to do on their end to resolve the issue. Mary was super helpful this morning. I had done an insurance claim on my phone but didnt know when I'd recieve it and i really needed my phone for work. She walked me through my options and was extremely patient with me as i decided. After deciding she thoroughly explained what i am paying for today how it effects my plan and so on. She put on my screen protector and case that i purchased as well. She sat there and waited for my phone to update because it was broken so badly there would be no transferring data. The service at this location was superb! Professional and welcoming atmosphere. The tech (Mary) was very knowledgeable, efficient, patient and personable. She activated my new phone, downloaded the apps and transferred data from my old phone to the new one with precision. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. I wish I got this guys name but he was great ! My iPhone was acting funky so I turned it off but then it didn't turn back on. I'm a rideshare driver so, no phone= no work. This happened on a Thursday evening. I drove to another AT&T store located on Columbia Road. The guy there took my phone and in one second told me it's the battery and I would have to take it to an Apple store. Defeated I left but later thought " I purchased my phone at AT&T, why do I need to bring it to an apple store." Today I went to the Bowie Town Center location. I was met at the door with a smile and a "Hello, how can we help you today" I explained what the issue was and within a minute he had my phone back on. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! read more

After reading all the reviews I thought this would be a fantastic place to go and look for a new phone, but was I wrong! I went in and wasn't even acknowledged by anyone even though the sales representatives were looking at me. I know they were busy, but I felt out of place when I went into the store. Once the initial awkwardness wore off, I entered my name into the system and waited. I continued to wait for the next thirty minutes without anyone saying a word to me. Every time that I have had a problem that sent me into this AT&T store, they have just surpassed expectations. First my mom got diagnosed with dementia then 9 months later she passed away. This is my first yelp review so I'm sure you all know that means this was very frustrating. I have been with AT&T for over 10 years and I have never had the experience I had today. My husband and I went in at 4pm to get new lines and phones and did not leave until 8:15pm without the issue even being resolved!!!! The lack of professionalism, knowledge, verbiage and customer service by employee Tony was absolutely ridiculous. The manager (Majed) was very knowledgeable but was busy with other customers. Tony not only made several mistakes with opening our account but was also very rude making comments such as "I mean if y'all ain't got the time y'all can come back" when we inquired the status/progress of the delay, mind you he made this comment after already being there for 2.5 hours. He not only entered our information incorrectly TWICE but then had us putting in the information on computer/iPad (which is his job) so he could interrupt with several other customers. I would NOT EVER recommend this location but if you do go specifically request NOT to work with Tony. Customer service/human interaction in the professional setting is NOT for him. We are leaving now without ANYTHING being resolved or provided. We left with Majed the manager ensuring that the situation will be handled tomorrow. Regardless waste of 4+ hours and got to go back again tomorrow. read more

That place should be closed and all its employees but one, fired. I was there for about an hr yesterday, to fix an issue with one of my devices, and the only person who was actually working there was one employee, Ezana Zewdie. This men should either be relocated to a better location or promoted, because he was helping several people at the same time and was being very polite and professional and knew his stuff. All his colleagues (and I mean every single one of them) left him alone with all the customers and were sitting around in the break room at 6pm, chilling. They were also rude and unprofessional. The lady that was signing people in was not even there most of the time and when she was there, she had to be told by several different customers to sign them in and was being rude, unwelcoming, and unprofessional. Also, the whole place is extremely racist. There were only black people working there and one guys from Africa, the only one who actually did his job. No other nationalities were hired. My husband and I walked into the store this afternoon with the intention of purchasing two new iPhones. We when walked in we were not greeted by anyone. All employees seems to be busy with other customers so we decided to look at the phones on displayed as we waited. 10 minutes later we still haven't even been acknowledged. We decided to sit and wait. Another 15mins go by and finally some comes near the seating area. I asked is there some where we have to sign in to be seen. She says we should have signed in when we came it. We would have but not one stopped to tell us this. We wait an additional 30 mins but are not called. Even after serving customers the employees would disappear to the rear of the store despite waiting customers. After waiting an hour we eventually got frustrated and decided to leave. On the way out the door I asked for my name to be taken off the list as I was leaving. One the employees said to me "Well next time you should make an appointment so you don't have to wait as long." Really? Is that what your customer service is like AT&T. Chastising a 15 year customer? I am no longer purchasing a phone through At&t and will be terminating by service. read more

I made an appointment for 6:30pm at this location and when I arrive at 6:20pm there was no person available to help. Thats understandable because I was early but by 6:45pm I was still waiting to be seen. The appointment was made after getting assistance online so all of my information was present in the system under my account. It listed what i wanted to have done. The staff was not veey helpful or well staffed. The service here is very slow and it makes setting an appointment pointless. I would not suggest this location. You're better off at any other location. The sign in process is unorganize and leaves customers frustrated because of the lack of direction. Some customers have even walked out as im writing this review. This was a terrible experience. read more

My boyfriend and I walked into this place after reading some great reviews about customer service. The place was clean and had multiple "working" devices displayed. However, that being said only about 40% of the the devices on the display were actually functioning. Many were either broken or not charged. We were in the store for about 30 minutes playing with two different devices, trying to decide whether or not we would get accessories or not. No one came up to us and asked if we needed help. No one greeted us. No one acknowledged us whatsoever. the store was neither busy nor crowded. Many of the staff were either chatting to other staff members or playing on their own phones. There were only two other couples in the store. This was really disappointing, thankfully there are other AT&T stores or better yet there's always Verizon. Who was very welcoming and accepted our $399 sale not including all the accessories we got. Being a manager myself, It's disappointing to see that the manager at this particular location can't seem to motivate their team OR ensure that all their products on display are in working condition. With such a great location there's no reason they shouldn't be making their numbers, but with that attitude I can see why they wouldn't. read more

"Eek! Me thinks not" is right! Let me preface this by saying I upgrade often and always have the latest phone model. Which took me to the store today (for the release of the iphone 5S). I called AT&T helpdesk first to confirm I was able to do a cross over upgrade (I have 4 lines: 3 phones and 1 ipad). I was helped by a rep that had obviously had a long day. After 15 min of him looking into my account he says he needs to go check on something. He returns saying his manager said they couldn't do the cross over upgrade. I told him of my AT&T helpdesk phone call and he said "it doesn't matter what they told you, we are not going to do it here." I asked him for his manager's card; he walked away and returned with it. Manager's card given was Steve Singsavatdy. I called the helpdesk again and they confirmed I was in fact able to do the cross over upgrade. The rep tried calling Steve S. and he refused to take any of the calls. If this is how the manager behaves, I am not surprised to see the reps don't care about their clientele either. Anyhow, I was able to do the cross over upgrade online without the hassle of reps or a manager who are obviously not cut for a customer service oriented job. Avoid at all costs. read more
