So good. The lady behind the counter was so sweet. The donuts were awesome, especially for the price point. They accept credit cards, but bring cash because small businesses like this run on tight margins, and transaction fees really take their toll. Go here! read more

I went here expecting a basic donut but came away with the best glazed donut I've ever had, hands down. They also have great kolaches. Always fresh. Small family run business, highly recommend. read more

Definitely the best donuts in Austin! Every time I bring them for the office, my staff always raves about how good they are!

Both the traditional and the cake donuts are delicious here. Rare to find a reasonably priced, family owned gem this close to downtown. Probably because their donuts are great! read more

Hidden gem! It's easy to miss because it's next to a Starbucks. But it's so great here. Owners are nice. Might not look like it's going to be a great buy but it is. read more

Blueberry donut and apple fritter were awesome! Totally recommend!!!! I will be back.

I was visiting my daughter from out of town this week and was looking for a donut shop. I ran across this in my Google search and read the reviews, and I'm very happy to say that this is one of the best donuts I've ever had. The person working in the shop was very pleasant and friendly and I highly recommend the donuts here. Affordable and great quality. read more

Excellent donuts and even better service! I love the people running this little shop, every time I see them they treat me like family.

Combo donuts is my favorite in the South Austin area, and probably all of Austin. I've been going there for years, and there is wonderful consistency in all of their items. I've never been disappointed in the least (well, ok, except for when the person in front of me snagged the last of my favorite croissant! Don't go buying all their sausage ones after reading my stellar review, OK????). Margaret, who usually runs the counter, is one of the warmest people you'll meet. She even learns the regular's names and orders, and will always have smile to share with you. Bonus: There's a Starbucks nextdoor, if you want to grab coffee, too! read more

Great service and food. Everything bagel is too salty for me (probably only too salty for me).

The lady in the morning is so sweet and the donuts were tasty and soft. Don't try to get to the homeless man who stands outside, he's a jerk. read more

Best dough I've ever had in a donut. The staff was patient and helpful. The donuts were some of the best I've ever had.

I came in and was greeted by the lady behind the counter. She was so incredibly nice and welcoming! I brought donuts in for my work and they absolutely loved them! I love this small business and I will definitely be supporting them from now on. read more

Classic fresh delicious donuts of all kinds from a true family business! You can't go wrong

This place is the absolute definition of a hidden gem. For several years, we've enjoyed coming by, chatting with the incredibly friendly woman behind the counter, and getting the same, high quality glazed and chocolate-frosted donuts and kolaches. I don't know how they get the texture of the donuts to be so soft and fluffy, but it really just melts in your mouth. We've never had anything less than a fantastic experience and feel lucky to be able to order them over Favor (we're still quarantining). Can't recommend them highly enough!! read more

Truly the fluffiest, most delicious glazed donut i have ever had. These will be dreamt about for years.

Where do I start? The service is so warm and welcoming! The lady behind the counter was a sweet endearing woman who made me want to hug her and thank her for being such a bright light in this world. Ok, now for the food; Chocolate sprinkled donut was perfect! Light and fluffy with great sweetness and not over sweetened at all. The sausage kolache had a perfectly sweet breading that was chewy and delicious with a great balance of salty juiciness from the sausage. Great quality food and spectacular service! read more

whenever me and my bf get other donuts it's always said, " not as good as combo" for some reason these donuts are so good and i can't find a place that compares read more

I'm a little partial to another donut spot, but this place is close enough to where I'm staying that I couldn't go anywhere else. It's in a busy little strip next to a coffee mega-chain. Parking was tight, and this morning at 10 the whole strip was busy. I was greeted by a super friendly staff and as I ordered a line quickly formed behind me. They must be doing something right. The donuts were excellent. No weird aftertaste that you get in some places. Spicy kolaches - also on point. I love a good kolache, and these were pretty damn good. Not too much bread, just enough heat, but I could totally use a little more cheese. read more

Family owned donut shop. Never had anything bad here. Grab your $7 mocha latttee espresso foam thingy at Starbucks and then get a donut (lots of options) croissant sammich', breakfast taco or sausage kolache next door for a fraction of that price and you are ready to conquer the world!! Well at least until your sugar/caffeine buzz wears off :) Good place to take the kids and let mom sleep in. read more

Best Kolaches & donuts in town! Also the lady that is always there is super sweet! I will always go here when i treat myself! Definitely recommend trying them out! read more

I felt like I needed to write this place a review because a moment ago when I ate their extraordinary glazed donut, I audibly moaned. Alone. In my office. I'm moaning just thinking about it. I've decided to spend my day eating these donuts until i'm sick. Happy Friday! read more

Great food!!!!!! Owners are so nice! Eating here every morning during quarantine!! Staying open during the pandemic using utmost caution. Really appreciate the food quality and service. Have become so friendly I love it! They remember everyone's names and order. Feel like they love what they do!! Definitely go!! read more

Im a sucker for a good doughnut. My glorious curves were built, in part, by fried dough and when I come across a doughnut shop that serves them light, fluffy, and soft without them being greasy I am an instant fan. Combo Donut definitely hits the mark. Their doughnuts are well fried, well risen, soft and sweet. Even their fritters, a dense doughnut to say the least, is amazingly crisp on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. We have tried a few other places in Austin after our favourite spot closed in January but they have been lack luster, unappetizing, greasy, or served in an absolutely filthy store(we didn't get any from either of the filthy places... Couldn't do it). I hadn't wanted to venture so far south just for a doughnut but I'm really glad we did because these were so good. There aren't an enormous amount of options in downtown for a straight up fluffy glazed so the venture is worth the travel to me. Eat up! read more

Stopped in here because the kid likes donuts and I like kolaches and tacos. I can't speak to the donuts, although my kid said his eclair was "awesome". The tacos looked a little scary in their saran-wrapped shells and I had further doubts when she popped it in the microwave to warm it up. After all that (and salsa that looked like Pace Picante), it really wasn't that bad. I guess bacon does make some things better. The kolache was fairly standard for a B level kolache. Sausage to bun ratio was a little off, but I liked that they used actual jalapeno instead of a jalapeno-impregnated sausage. If I was in the area, I'd go back. read more

Previously Lamar Donut per signs and https://www.yelp.com/biz/lamar-donut-austin , the woman working was literally asleep when we walked in near closing, but the shelves were fully stocked, so we scored a very solid chocolate dipped buttermilk. read more

The best donuts in Austin with super friendly employees. Love supporting a family owned business.

They were out of the croissant I wanted so they made me a fresh one- the sweetest staff ever! And great breakfast food! Would definitely recommend! read more

Support local business. Amazing fritters and fat pills. This place makes amazing doughnuts period. Crisp, fresh, flaky and cooked to perfection. They melt in your mouth. High blood sugar? No problem! The lady was super cool i bought two dozen she hooked it up with all kinds of good stuff including bear claws and fritters. They were all gone in seconds. The glazed and frosted doughnuts are winners. read more

Great service, affordable priced, super fresh and extra delicious! Had a kolache for the first time and it was out of this world. The donuts were great too. Wonderful opportunity to support a family run business. So tired of the million Starbucks in the world! read more

Combo Dounut is your quintessential Dounut shop. The owners who work the front desk are the sweetest ppl on Earth. They also make amazing dounuts. Go here it's amazing. read more

I can't say anything about the donuts as they were out when I went. I only had a credit card with me and they require a $5 minimum purchase so I asked if I could try one of the donut holes (there were LOTS). The woman behind the counter said, "No, we sell those." So I left. I'll never go back. Extremely poor customer service. read more

Great donuts. Glad they are in the neighborhood. Very friendly , nice lady that works there. I stop here almost everyday. Sometimes the selection isn't huge but everything they have is fresh read more

Standard, run-of-the-mill donut place. Reasonably priced! Got 6 donuts, 12 donut holes, and a chocolate milk for $8. They were open on Sunday which was nice when my regular spot was closed. Nothing too special about this place, but nothing too horrible either. read more

I've frequented Combo nearly every Saturday since my child discovered donuts, and today I realized that I am long overdue on a review. My family has sampled nearly everything on the menu at this point so I can concretely say that this place rules. I always go for the croissant breakfast sandwich with ham, egg, and cheese; my daughter loves the blueberry cake donuts; and my husband is a sucker for the jalapeño and cheese kolaches (yes, you pedant, I know they're technically klobasniky). While the food is great, the people who work here are the proverbial cherry [glaze] on top. Margaret has watched my daughter grow up and is always so patient when accommodating her rapid-fire selections. I'm proud to be on a first name basis with them, and hope to be a regular customer for many more years. read more

This was a great find! Donuts and kolaches were super yummy! Made fresh every morning and best part they are right next door to a Starbucks

These are the best donuts in Austin by far. They are quality and classic. Support a local business and local family by buying your donuts here! Also they're not crazy expensive! This place is a little hidden gem. Go here! read more

I love this place. The owners are wonderful and their donuts are always so so fresh. Too many great choices to pick from

Literally the best glazed donuts ever. I've had donuts from here to NY to The Bahamas and back and these take the cake. Simple service and friendly staff. Get there early if you want glazed but also carry cash cause you never know if a cc machine may be down in Austin. read more
