Really good bagels and breading! And I'm not saying this cause they played Ozzy all morning If you get here before 10/11 in the morning the service is pretty quick. After that it gets packed and seats are limited. The parking lot is also pretty small. Short prisus will risk skidding their bumpers for sure. I've heard about this place many times that their bagels are great. I finally went in to try it myself and it was GOOD. No, DAMN GREAT! Probably even better than stuff I had in New York. I had The Veggie Heaven with Lox added on an everything bagel with plain cream cheese and, although messy, I enjoyed every bite of it. They're very generous on all ingredients and it felt like I could have split it with somebody if I wasn't starving. The staff was really chill and helpful, our food was ready in no time. We came around when it was slower but it quickly got busy and they had a line. There's a couple of outside tables and high top seats outside, no indoor seating. Parking is very limited and you gotta be careful of pulling on a sedan from Chicon St., heard multiple cars making scraping noises when trying to "conquer" the bump between the street and the parking spaces. read more

Rockstar has really good bagels, always fresh and nice and chewy. I've mostly eaten there around lunch time so I've tried a bunch of different sandwich combos. All have been really good. Decent bagel spot, but didn't wow me. I placed an online order and it was ready within 20 minutes. This is a little outdoor spot with a few tables outside. We decided to just eat in the car with how hot it was. I ordered "The Rockstar" on a jalapeno cheddar bagel with egg, cheddar cheese, no meat and chive cream cheese. The bagel itself didn't have a jalapeno cheddar flavor to it. I couldn't see any jalapeños in there, and it felt mostly like a plain bagel unfortunately. The sandwich had way too much cream cheese, and I specifically requested light cream cheese. The chive flavor tasted really delicious, but was too much. I enjoyed the egg and it was well seasoned. My boyfriend ordered "The Rockstar" on an everything bagel with egg, bacon, sausage, provolone cheese, and lettuce. He said the bagel tasted way too salty, and with the seasoning in the egg it was too much. His bagel felt too eggy with the amount they put inside. He enjoyed the bacon and sausage in it. We ordered the everything bagel, sesame bagel, and the jalapeno cheddar bagel. All very impressive. My favorite part of the order though- the peach basil schmear. Insane!!! Thats one thing I love about rockstar, that they aren't afraid to get creative with their flavors. Honestly, this place is fantastic for being in Austin. I only gave it 4 because it can't quite compare to New York bagels yet, but nonetheless, very good. While I was visiting Austin recently I had the immense craving for a lox bagel and found rockstar Bagels, not only with stellar reviews, but also a BYOLox option - Say less! Due to some in climate weather and being in town without a car, I opted to UberEats, so I can't speak on the vibe or space itself unfortunately. I went with a black iced coffee and an everything bagel with chive cream cheese, tomato, red onion, capers, arugula and of course lox! Each vegetable is 50 cents. I then had the option to make it open face for an additional fee. Which I thought was sort of weird, but do understand it may include more toppings and I find it much easier to eat so went for it! Upon delivery the order was packaged well for transport. Iced coffee was solid, the lox bagel itself was good, but the toppings were inconsistent. They had all of topping on half, such as the arugula and tomato, onion and capers, while the other half had only onions and capers. I thought that was sort of odd and don't really understand what the additional charge covered. Overall the bagel was tasty and flavorful, generous schemas and fresh ingredients. I would order again and of course much better value and experience eating on site then ordering through third party. read more

The bagels themselves were fine. Not enough seasoning on top for my taste, but the texture was good. The cream cheese was really wet- I'm not sure why but it made for a very messy experience. Truly so yummy. Came here before heading to the airport and they were speedy and kind. They don't have a drive through though it's listed on Yelp but I just ran out of my car to grab what I needed. I must say the bagels do rock, however, the vegan chive cream cheese was not my favorite. Not bad, just not amazing. I personally didn't care for the tipping option. It was shoved into your face and clearly, the person taking your order can see what you select. This kind of ruins the experience with tipping in my opinion. I thought the bagels were kind of small, especially for the price that you pay. I would've liked to see bigger bagels. I'm from NY and wanted to find a good bagel in ATX. According to TikTok, Rockstar Bagels was a must. I've now been twice, and the second time was much better! My first time, I ordered a The Rockstar with a Rosemary Salt bagel, egg, cheese, and sausage. I was just really in the mood for something like a breakfast sandwich! However, I have never gotten a "breakfast sandwich" bagel in NY, so I found myself comparing The Rockstar to a typical lox + creme cheese NY bagel, which just was not fair. So, my second time, I ordered just a regular Rosemary Salt bagel with lox + chive creme cheese. Much better!! In terms of comparison to NY bagels, the lox + creme cheese was spot on. The bagel itself was a lot softer than what I am used to (which is not a bad thing). With NY bagels, you need to rip them with your teeth. The Rockstar bagel was a lot softer and easier to tear apart. I am knocking off a star simply because service is quite slow. It appears that they are very understaffed.
