We set up an appointment for lock change and Shawn Beard arrived at the property at least 15-20 minutes early. It was an eviction case and the tenant was in the process of moving out. My Uncle passed away and we needed to open his safe to look for a will. He had a scrap of paper with a bunch of random numbers on it. We were told the safe could be drilled open which we were prepared to pay a lot but it was necessary. I gave the piece of paper to Shawn and didn't expect much. I was locked out a few weeks ago on a Saturday and called Combination. Shawn and Esther came out within about an hour after they finished another job. Shawn took the hardware apart and found a part had broken. He was able to put the hardware back so that at least the dead bolt works while we look for other alternatives. If I could give 6 stars, I would! Owner/tech Sean is a locksmith magician. He came to our house yesterday and easily unlocked our old door whose key was accidentally thrown away. He explained that our old door knob was a Westlock, and that it could be rekeyed to have the same key as our Kwikset front door knob. I chose to have the old doorknob rekeyed to the same key as the house front door. He has all the needed equipment in his van and he did it in just a few minutes. The new key works smoothly, just as well in the front door as the original front door key; no problems like with a hardware store where the key copy is kind of difficult or doesn't work at all. The price was so reasonable! Delta Lock & Key retired and gave their business phone to Combination Lock & Key, and I can see why. I found Delta Lock & Key to also be very up front, honest, and give reasonable prices, and Combination Lock's Sean and Esther are the same way. Esther was easy to work with regarding when Sean could come out to our house. There are scamsters out there who charge outrageous prices (several hundred dollars) on a holiday weekend. I am in WA state and set this appt up for my elderly dad who lives in Concord. He had called a locksmith in Concord and was quoted 280.00 to rekey 7 locks. The locksmith I emailed, quoted just over 400.00! When I found C. L. and S., I had NOT yet read any reviews so went blindly into it! Absolutely the most amazing, PROFESSIONAL, and quick service we've found since the olden days!!! The nicest part of all, Shawn charged what he quoted over the phone!!! NO HIDDEN FEES!!! He and his wife showed up as promised, 20 minutes early as a matter of fact!! Hey, even Southwest isn't THAT good, and the price and service was so excellent, my dad even tipped them!!!! AND, it was more than the two bucks he usually leaves for servers! (If you've waited on him, I apologize!!!) Our business had a break in and the criminals kicked in one of tour heavy inside doors. The force of the kick put a split above and below the switch plate on the door. I thought we would have to buy a new door (expensive) but Sean came in and informed me that he could order a wrap around to cover the edge of the door. Now the door is stronger than it was before.
