I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Eye Center of Texas has left me frustrated,…read moredisappointed, and deeply concerned about the lack of professionalism and accountability I encountered. I came to this office as a self-pay (cash) patient. From the beginning, I made it clear to the billing department that I would not be using insurance and requested a Good Faith Estimate, which is a right afforded to all uninsured patients. I was told the procedure would cost $410, and based on that estimate, I agreed to move forward. At no point did anyone clarify that this quote was per eye. That distinction would have made a significant difference in my decision-making process. After the procedure, I left assuming my account was paid in full. No one informed me otherwise. About a week later, one of the plugs came out, and I called to schedule a follow-up. I was redirected to another location due to scheduling issues, and when I arrived, I was told I still owed $410 for the second eye. This was the first time I was made aware that the original quote was not for both eyes. I paid the remaining balance during a later visit--$820 in total--despite being misinformed. Then, to my surprise, I received another bill for additional doctor fees that were never disclosed or included in the original quote. When I reached out for clarification, I received a generic and dismissive response confirming the balance was "due" without anyone addressing the root issue: repeated miscommunication, missing information, and a complete lack of accountability from the billing department. This is not just about money--it's about ethics. A medical practice should be transparent and accountable, especially when dealing with patients who are paying out of pocket. I was never given a complete, itemized Good Faith Estimate. Charges were added after the fact, and each time I asked questions, I was either ignored or met with vague, unhelpful responses. No one has accepted responsibility for these mistakes. I've given the office every opportunity to resolve this fairly and professionally, and they've failed. If you are a self-pay patient, I urge you to be extremely cautious. Ask for every detail in writing. Ask what is included and what is not. And even then, be prepared for surprise charges. I expected far more from a reputable clinic like Eye Center of Texas, and instead I feel taken advantage of and dismissed. This experience has left me with little trust in the way this office handles billing and patient communication. I hope this review helps others avoid the same frustration I've endured

I had cataract removal and lens replacement. While I have no issues with the medical care I…read morereceived, I was appalled at the lack of concern exhibited for patient's time. This has been true at every visit to the Webster office. For example, my last post-op visit was scheduled for 11:15. I walked out of the office at 1:30. During that period, I was seen by a technician for about 10 minutes, and by the doctor for approximately 10 minutes. The remainder was spent in the very crowded waiting rooms. I would think that someone in the organization would understand scheduling, but they are totally unconcerned about your time as a patient. This is obviously not rocket science, as all of my other doctors have figured it out.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced! If there were an option to give zero stars or…read morelower, I would. The entire experience, from the receptionist Yammi to the manager Gabriel, was unacceptable. No smiles, no courtesy--just outright rudeness. Yelling on the phone when you tried to explain your situation. My husband arrived 10 minutes early before 9am for the appointment, as instructed online, but no one was there at 9 a.m. Gabriel eventually showed up at 9:10 a.m. and didn't even acknowledge my husband waiting outside. No apology, no greeting, nothing--just left him standing there. He unlocked, closed the door, turned away and walked to the back. My husband had to open the door, walked in and waited for them to come and checked him in. Later, when my daughter arrived at the end of the appointment, it was clear that the staff was in a rush to leave. They didn't even let her properly pick out the glasses she wanted, brushing her off and telling her to check her benefits. She has double coverage, but they only used her insurance and promised to follow up on mine. No one ever did, and when we contacted them later, they said it was too late to bill it. Absolutely unprofessional. To make matters worse, the staff looked like they had just rolled out of bed--unkempt and careless. Gabriel, in particular, was dressed like he had just come from a cleaning job, complete with a cap, and gave off an unfriendly, hostile vibe. The other staff members were no better--just as rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The doctor may be great, but the staff ruins the entire experience. If you're looking for the worst customer service possible, this is the place for you.

NOT EVEN 1 star Horrible place. They told me my glasses…read moreeould be ready in 2 weeks and they would call me to pick it up. They never call me. i went back to the place to see what was going on and they had no clue. They told me they would call me back with answers but they never called me. After I called them for the 4th time, they finally told my glasses wouldn't be ready for a week. I told them that I was going out of town for work and needed my glasses. Be aware if you go to this place your glasses wont be ready for a month and they will lie say it will be ready in 2 weeks. They just want your money. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!! If you don't purchase sll the things they offer (UV protection, warranty etc) they will treat you like shit Not sayin that they broke my sisters frame
