****Review updated and revised*****…read more So, I no longer think these bozos scammed us. Now I just think they run a lousy business and have zero respect for their customers. We brought them with a brand new, uncoded Mazda key to program, but they made it sound like it would cause permanent dash light errors and damage to the car. They wanted to sell us an official Mazda key, so we said, fine, just do it. They didn't have the part in stock so they had to order it. When we came back to have it set up, it took them 45 minutes to figure out they had received the wrong part. Oops! I know, I know -- we should've walked away from these clowns at this point. But I forgot to mention: they insisted on a 50% deposit before they would order the fob, so we were stuck. Anyway, we went back for the third time and they had the right part and they coded it up and now it works perfectly! Nah, I'm just playin. It only half worked: it started, locked and unlocked the car but only if you took it out and pressed buttons; all touch functions were dead. That's when I posted a 1-star Google review. They responded with excuses and a phone number. So I called and talked to someone who said they couldn't just order a new part. Um, why not? No idea. I had to go back for a fourth time so they could waste more of my time. Took them more than an hour to tell me that the key doesn't work and they need to order a new one. Hey, isn't that exactly what I said!?! I mean, if that's not disrespecting me and my time, I don't know what is. Anyway, the key came in a week later and they wanted to set up another appointment to code it. Great, I told them I'm free on Friday morning. Oh no, that won't work because their guy has something else to do (I have to assume he was busy fixing other keys they screwed up). They wanted me to rearrange my entire day to suit their schedule? I hung up instead of screaming. I mean, really? That's chutzpa! But what choice did I have? I rearranged my day and called them back and went in at the time that was convenient for their tech. He was late, of course, but only by about five-ten minutes so that could have been way worse. At this point I'm beginning to wonder if they're doing this to me on purpose? Or have they simply never heard of customer service? I thought that fifth visit had finally done it: the key worked. But now that dash light that they warned us about is lit all the time. I hate this so much. Final Resolution: I called and asked for a refund. You already know the answer they gave me: No, because: reasons (we don't respect our customers is what I think). But they did admit they neglected to clear a loaner key from the car and that's what was causing the dash light. One of their guys came out to our house and fixed it. I hope. So here, you can have one star back for finally doing something right! But since you're at minus 10 stars for the whole fiasco, you still end up with the lowest possible rating I can give. I'll be sure to tell friends. So, by all means, if having an ordeal like that sounds like a laugh, you should definitely visit the Keyless Shop at Columbia Mall. You too can have this kind of 'fun' for the low, low price of $320. Fail. Hard fail. I warned ya.
